Good video. Had this same problem in my 320i. It was a big struggle to come to the conclusion that the alternator was causing the idle dips and rich trims near idle. Hope this video can help more e46 owners who have the same problem.

Thank you for this video. I had a service shifter message, they did change the shifter. Came back on within days, then started to get the Stability Control needed service and check engine light. Just swapped out the CAN Connector and it is working great! Thanks so much for this video. I have a 2019 Pacifica Limited.

From Bimmer tech to another bimmer tech, you did great, watched all parts, you would not believe how many DME i replaced, huge mistake BMW did is, they didt put any fuse between DME and valvotronic motor, so when Valvotronic goes out, it takes DME with it, expensive repair. Keep up the great job.

I had paid so to clean out intake, replace egr cooler and valve, reprogram PCM, replace intake gaskets and map sensor and after 4k. Still getting p0402

So my truck isn’t throwing any codes but this morning my boost gauge got stuck around 35-37 psi and the turbo wasnt spooling and it seemed like it was bogging down or needing to down shift ( I drive the mountains everyday) that didn’t do anything. Once I got off work I looked everything over under the hood didn’t see anything wrong I fired the truck up and everything works as it should turbo spools and boost gauge works fine

Thank you sooooooo very much much had a 2018 Pacifica the shifter would not turn on or shift had a 100 u codes ent straight to the star connection and solved the problem in less than a sec thanks to you sir

In theory wouldn’t pulling the fuse for the trailer module bring back the low speed? Or is necessary to actually physically remove the connector??

Why not slice the power to the relay to the tcm with a low amp fuse that goes to ignition power to test bad pcm tell customer that needs ecm/tcm and he will get a running vehicle for a wile till pcm gives out. Its not way to do it but u get paid ur hrs for diagnosing n customer gets vehicle running.

I pulled the Connector on my '17 Pacifica, unplugged all of the pins and sprayed everything down with electrical contact cleaner, plugged everything back up, and so far, it's been running without any issues. If it comes back, I'll go ahead and swap the parts out like in this video, thank you!

Is there a specific order for the spider injector hoses? I can’t find any information on how to install it back into the six individual ports.

nice! have the same issue w. my 2018. checked connectors on the left rail, was going to take the round tranny connector , but cant do it in the driveway. So had it towed to the local stealer. Indeed, the tcm connector in the tranny was the issue (supposedly). They want 1750 to replace the harness (bc they say the connector retention mech is broken, not sure I believe them. Anyway.. no way. I wish I persevered and unplugged/plugged that connector. Anyway. questions: where are you located? And where did you get that wiring diagram? I've seen some diagrams, but not as clear, and not easy to pinpont the connectors.. Is it factory manual? TIA

After replacing my blower motor fuses, HVAC/Climate fuses, blower motor resistor, etc,. I am now leaning towards a CANBUS issue with my vehicle, mainly because I have tested the blower motor and it powers up when directly connected to a battery, the resistor is good, etc,. The vehicle has absolutely no aftermarket upgrades or parts, manual windows. However, the vehicle has a third party fleet GPS installed, I believe it is improperly grounded which is causing the canbus issues… How exactly would I confirm and test this as just a regular non-mechanical person?

YOU SAVED ME SO MUCH MONEY AND PROBLEMS, CHRYSLER WANTED $300 JUST FOR A DIAGNOSTIC, I HAD ALL ISSUES AND JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AS IS FOR $10K BUT NO ISSUES WHEN I GOT IT UNTIL I DROVE FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND THEN SERVICE SHIFTER AND CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO DRIVE AND EVERY OF LIGHT CAME UP. I HIT THE DASH AND MAGICALLY. IT WOULD LET ME GO INTO DRIVE BUT WOULD NOT SHIFT GEARS PROPERLY AND I WOULD HAVE TO DISCONNECT BATTTERY FOR LIKE 15 MINUTES AND IT WOULD HAVE ENGINE LIGHT ON BUT WORKING. AUTOZONE SAID CAN C BUS. THE VAN DID THIS OFF AND ON FOR WEEKS AND I SAW YOUR VIDEO AND CHANGED THE STAR CONNECTOR AND I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT, EVEN MY MECHANIC WAS SHOCKED WHEN I PURCHASED THE PIECE FOR $94 AT CHRYSLER. I KNOW THE CAR DEALERSHIP THAT SOLD ME THE VEHICLE PROBABLY JUST CLEARED IT AND SOLD ME SOMETHING TO GET OVER BUT YOU SAVED ME AND THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!❤

I have a issue with my truck I fked something up when I plugged my instrument cluster up while batteries were connected and key turned and I replaced the cluster and now have the problem where my truck won't start power stays on and lights stay on when the ignition is turned off so I have to unhook battery, I've replaced the tipm and had the ecm checked and ecm was good I've tried replacing ignition switch and still no luck I am thinking the skim or skeem whatever is called might of gotten fried I dunno I hope the dealership can figure it out because truck won't start
