    You’re handing your kids money and telling them to give you 80% back. Give them a choice and tell them they can either spend it or save it and then their life is fully in their control. Educate your child to spend on what they need and “borrow” what they want. For example you want to buy a bike, but they can’t ride one - rent one for a week if they learn and enjoy you buy… if they want nothing they save… if they want rubbish and buy it all they have no money for things they want… don’t treat your kids like pets. Treat them like mentees, it fits with the whole saying around buying a man lots of fish vs buying him a rod and teach him to fish

    • @Rb39-ej5hh
      @Rb39-ej5hh 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @justno808
      @justno808 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are thinking small. Your were taxed on the £10 when you earned it, you were then taxed 20% on the Pizza, but you also paid the tax paid by the Shop Owner, who paid tax on the ingredients and his profits. That is how it becomes 50%.

    • @Ksaysme
      @Ksaysme 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Irrelevant on the final selling price of an item. 20 goes to government 80 goes to the business. Taxes for buying goods, corporate tax, council tax etc will be paid from that 80. while I appreciate the point he is trying to make, it's not exactly true what he's saying. Overheads are inclusive of other taxes

    • @justno808
      @justno808 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Ksaysme I mean, you are correct, but so is he. If the Business had a lower tax rate, and VAT was not inclusive on a Business Purchase, would the product still cost £10? No. It would be cheaper. So say that is the case and the Product now costs £7, the amount that is taxed to the government is less. I get your point, but its still a valid metric. Retaxation of everything is a problem. We dont need MORE taxes, we need BETTER spending from Politicians is the overall case. You already pay Income Tax and NI, then you pay Council Tax, then you pay VAT, meanwhile the same happens on everything purchased, you end up with a zero sum profit for the individual. Meanwhile, Government pays billions for the rebuilding of Commons when frankly they could have tendered for much cheaper and decide not to. Just look at Dubai, Saudi and other Tax Free States, and their quality of life and services is massively better than our psuedo-Socialist Capitalism.

    • @Ksaysme
      @Ksaysme 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@justno808 pseudo socialist? There's nothing socialist about it they use working people's tax money to pay for war and privatise everything so their mates can get contracts in a big circle jerk. Also tax reductions/lower production costs don't even remotely guarantee price drops, especially after prices have already risen. See: Large companies profits since the pandemic

    Public services are already underfunded so where will you get the money for government spending if you cut tax? Although we should move more of the tax burden from ordinary people to the ultra-wealthy.

    • @benedictdunington602
      @benedictdunington602 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      maybe reduce gov spending?? and moving the tax burden will do squat, the more you increase taxes on HNW'S the more will move their money elsewhere, or find other avenues of tax loopholes to pursue, in addition the more you tax hnws, the less money they have to keep the economy moving though wages , personal expenses and investments the answer is the gov spending needs to be reduced, in several aspects.

    • @SNOUTxTOUT
      @SNOUTxTOUT 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You shouldn't need money to fund government spending if they cut spending? They have proven themselves unable to provide services no matter how much money they have to spend. I'd rather they not try at all.

    • @Rb39-ej5hh
      @Rb39-ej5hh 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@benedictdunington602What cash strapped government service should we cut so that some ultra-wealthy oligarchs can have even more money? Also people who are extremely wealthy don't hold money in a bank account like we do. Their wealth is mostly in assets like stocks and real estate. Sure they can leave the country, but they aren't wizards who can magically put factories, offices and apartments into bags and take them with them. The way in which we targeted Russian oligarchs after the Russian invasion of Ukraine proved that if the government wants to tax (or confiscate in this case) wealth, they can.

      Britain is actually one of the most heavily taxed nations in the western world, our public services are underfunded because the largest portion of the tax we pay is classified as "undefined" (read: embezzled). The government is perfectly OK dishing out billions in bailout money to their friends businesses but when it comes to public infrastructure they are ideologically opposed to funding it well. The problems we have in this country are not coincidental, they are manufactured by those in power because those at the top, profit the most during crisis.

    The guy in the video has used the overhead rates as a percentage of a single pizza which isn’t really fair. The rates are probably calculated as a percentage of annual or monthly overhead costs. A more realistic way of calculating overheads into the cost of the pizza would be to use time involved e.g. 15min labour to make the pizza, therefore find 15min of overhead costs. Monthly overhead / 31 days (month) / 24hr x 0.25hr = 15min of overhead cost which can be deducted from price of pizza.
