    Looks cool. Can sounds ring out while changing patches? Or can that be easily user-implemented?

    I like using the Tsynth so this one looks intriguing as well. Would be a nice touch if MPE or polyphonic aftertouch could be added at some point 😊

    Would love to buy one of the 5 pack but it says "not available in my country", I'm in the UK. How do I do this? (There's no way to contact you directly on Tindie, sorry)

    • @-electrotechnique-
      @-electrotechnique- 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello when anyone tries to buy, I get alerted and requested to add their country. I'm gradually doing this, which requires seeing how much different numbers of PCBs cost and what the courier options are. UK is now added. Shipping from China is far better than from South Korea at the present.

    • @leafsmithleafsmith691

      Hi Paula, I am in the UK also, the first time I tried to order pack of 5 like you Tindie said ‘not available in my country’. However I tried a second time and the order all went through.At present I am waiting for the delivery.For info , I decided to build a prototype DIY version based on the schematic, and run through the software and look to see if it could be customised for larger TFT 240 x 240 .This prototype DIY version works okay but looking forward to getting a proper PCB. BTW I recognise the name,so guess you are technically capable of customising this design yourself. Practically the code is quite malleable, it’s just I am not a great programmer a bit rusty, nevertheless less I would like to implement a TFT 240 x240 display based on ST7789 driver chip with DMA frame buffering implementation. I can see that the developer ElectroTechnique[Simon] implemented a more extensive TFT driver ST7735 than the standard Teensy ST7735 library.

  • @leafsmithleafsmith691
    @leafsmithleafsmith691 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent Job by the developer.Thanks for this.Looking at the comments concerning PCBs and kits availability,I decided To go for a Plan B based on the Schematic and make a version using breakout Boards and DIY methods.Somewhere I saw a pic of a pro type showing what looked like Sparkfun breakout boards for the 4067 MUXs. This stuff is fun, and it looks like I can add the functionality for bigger SPI Display.At a time when elsewhere some people might be looking back at a retro Polysynth in the thousands( which I have not got) , it is the availability of the design and components like the Teensy 4.1 with its well supported set of software tools that make this inspiring,IMHO.

    • @-electrotechnique-
      @-electrotechnique- 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. Yes, the prototype had Sparkfun 4067 breakouts and about 257,000 wires. I don't recommend it, noise on the pots is much higher, although the code manages to cope with it somewhat.

    ElectroTechnique is doing a fantastic job providing these parts but there is no waiting list as such. Just a notification of when limited stock will be available to buy. A pre-order system would be much better, put money down and your name is added to the waiting list. The people who have waited the longest would get theirs first. As it stands now, its just a crap-shoot depending on what hemisphere your are on the globe and your not sleeping when the stock goes live. I'd even sign up for a Kickstarter if one was available.

    Hi ElectroTechnique, Excellent.Thanks for all your hard work. I guess I am like a lot of DIY synth folks who signed up to be notified when PCBs and kit available . It sounds like one of the problems is PCB sourcing and distribution logistics Are you considering releasing the design ,or sub licensing to some of the DIY synth companies? In the uk ,there are companies like Thonk and Soundtronics Personally I like going through the design and teensy code and was looking forward to building this, but guess I will wait until available. Otherwise as I am a retired electronic engineer ,I might just try getting my feet wet into KiCad and doing a version. Many thanks
