This looks amazing i want 4
context what is it?
It’s moss that we use in our air filter Briiv 😊
Please share, independent testing.. Id like to see it clean a clear boxed 6 x 6 area and watch reliable sensor data... formaldehyde, VOCs, PM.. bold statements read to me like 'Rides like a dream'. Independent data please. Does it have a CADR rating?
Briiv will improve the air quality in a 36m² (387ft²) living space in just one hour, with a delivery of 53 cubic feet per min of purified clean air. Continual flow tests have been carried out on Briiv under normal and high load conditions, under EN 1822-4 conditions. Over all performance showed a 78% improvement in air quality in one pass, under low load and 80% under high load conditions. Briiv has been tested externally to EN1822-5:2009 With a pass, and efficiency of 88% of PM2.5 and below in laboratory conditions. You can see the full test report here cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0408/0871/0293/files/DSS_SHFT210700003871_-_Briiv_filter_test_data_EX.pdf?v=1638811419 :)
Thank you
It seem invert air flow among other air purifier. What is the advantage? Thanks in advance for the answer.
Thank you for your question :) Briiv pro has two modes that work together to purify your homes air these are Zone mode and Canary mode. Zone mode is a feature of Briiv Pro that allows you to create a complete multi-unit air quality system in your space. Briiv Pro links together with other Briiv units to create a smart air monitoring system that works to improve your entire home's air quality like no other air purifier Zone mode gives your Briiv Pro Primary the ability to control other units to create different zones of connected Briivs to deliver automatic air filtration. This will work by linking a Briiv Pro Primary to Briiv Pro Secondary units (made up of either existing original Briiv units or Briiv Pro Secondary units). The Primary unit will monitor the air quality and increase or decrease as needed through Canary Mode, and the Secondary units will mirror this!. So if poor air quality is detected, all units in the zone will be prompted to turn on until your air is clean, then return to a pre-determined level. Zone Mode also enables schedule linking, so a set schedule on your Briiv Primary will be mirrored to your Secondary units. Canary Mode is an automatic detection and activation system built into the Briiv Pro Primary. The integrated AQI monitor can sense the air quality, and at your pre-set an activation level the unit will automatically come on to clean your air. Once the air quality is improved, the unit will return to its previous settings. Canary Mode works in conjunction with Zone Mode, so if your units are linked they'll all be prompted to switch on and keep the air in your entire home or workplace clear. Hope this helps :)
I’ve just bought mine and directed to this view. It would be really helpful to focus on how to set up and tips for making it the most efficient possible. Do I put in a table or is floor OK? Just an idea!
You can find helpful information like that here: briiv.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/categories/9386684138141-Owning-Briiv :)
It seems this alleged 'moss' has been coated with chemicals. AVOID!!!
Briiv's original filter, our reindeer moss filter is a reindeer lichen (Cladonia Stellaris) that is hand-picked by trained staff. The natural arrangement of the lichen makes it perfect for capturing and trapping larger household pollutants. The reindeer lichen is coloured using a totally natural colouring pigment, and is preserved in a magnesium chloride salt solution. This preservation process makes the moss soft to touch, and helps it to retain its vibrancy and springiness. This treatment means the moss is no longer alive or able to propogate.
Crikey £437 on Amazon. Good luck with it though, very innovative. Hope it goes well for you.
Thank you for the support :) While the upfront cost of the Briiv can seem expensive it is very cheap to run costing under £5 yearly energy wise and only £34.99 for a filter pack which will last a year.
I'll have to put this on my wishlist. Silly question, but what is the name of the music playing in this introduction?
An excellent choice for any wishlist :) And that's a great question we source all music for our videos from various platforms and often behind the scenes during video edits tracks we use get changed up a bit. Not sure of the exact name of this track if you find out please let us know.
Cool plant wall😊
Thanks 😁
Will you have a device for a car/RV? Seems thats almost more necessary than a house.
This isn't something we are planning at present however that's a fantastic idea, we are also open to suggestions :) If enough people support this idea we will be able to look in to designing something like this in the future.
what a worthless device
The Briiv pro is very useful for keeping the air in your home free from harmful VOC's and has a built in diffuser so is a great way to use essential oils as well.
@@briiv.natural
Wow you really can just attach the AI buzzword to anything now can you.
My favorite part is how there's no AI mentioned in the video itself.
Keep your eyes peeled we will be putting out some content in the future going in to more detail about how the AI powered smart chips in Briiv pro enable it to detect and respond to poor quality air. You can see more details over on our kickstarter campaign www.kickstarter.com/projects/briiv/briiv-pro-unlock-the-power-of-plants
@@briiv.natural thermostats do that with the temperature. That doesn't make it AI.
How does it compare/differ to the original?
Hello you can see a proper breakdown of the main new features of Briiv pro over on our kickstarter campaign page here www.kickstarter.com/projects/briiv/briiv-pro-unlock-the-power-of-plants/description But the key differences are the Briiv pro is more powerful, has a built in diffuser, has new AI powered smart sensors which can detect your air quality and the Briiv pro has three different filter options to pick from yorkshire moss, activated carbon, or our original reindeer moss.
What kind of dog is this, i love it so much?
It's a Silken Windhound 😃

Thank you for your support :)
How much of the filtering is done by the plans vs the layers of filters on the machine?
Great question :) We have a really handy breakdown of what each filter in Briiv does here www.briiv.co.uk/pages/performance
What was the point of this??? Click bate?
It's a little test we set up to show anyone interested in Briiv what it can do. This video shows how Briiv can clear cigarette smoke extremely efficiently :)
Would love to get one, but somehow I don't want to buy a micro usb device in 2023. Hopefully it gets upgraded to usb -c soon!
I’m the first to comment this video. It’s kind of my thing.
Another Molekule 😂
No explanation.. looks like a jar of Moss.... Not helpful so far
Briiv is an air filter. It can effectively remove allergens from your air helping you to cope with hay fever and other allergies 😊
Does this get rid of formaldehyde?
It does!
How does one get rid of the smell of the painted moss? Inhave had this fir days and the paint on the moss still smells horrible - a bit counterproductive given it's supposed to clean the air not make it smelly. Would you not consider not dying the moss or use natural paint? When I touch the moss my fingers turn green!
Our moss isn't painted, it's preserved and dyed with a natural glycerol. The smell you're experiencing is most likely the moss' natural odour. This should dissipate after a couple of days of constant use. If the smell still persists please get in touch with us at ask@briiv.co.uk and we'll be happy to help you out 😊
I'm sorry to ask that so directly. I love the design and the idea behind this cleaner and was about to order it before I stumbled over the price of 400€. What exactly justifies this price? I can buy an air filter for 50€ and equip the filter body with moss and wool, the other layers are available, which brings me to about 60€.
Briiv uses natural, recyclable and biodegradable materials of a high standard to ensure they are exactly that. Because these materials aren't readily available we have to go to extra lengths to find and secure them. The preservation processes and structure of our filters, as well as our bespoke nano matrix filters are all specifically designed in a way to make Briiv as effective as possible at filtering harmful particles from your air. While the initial cost of Briiv is higher than some air filters on the market, its running costs are much lower than others! Briiv only needs 5V of energy to run which cost around £3.60 a year. Yearly filters only cost £34.99 as well! So overall Briiv is extremely cheap to maintain and run.
@@briiv.naturalglad the replacement filters are affordable
Hi briiv
I just got one of these, and so far loving it. It is a lot more compact than my Dyson.
Great to hear! Thanks for the support 😄
Jealous! 😁
When I see things this expensive that are not made of materials that are very expensive, it seems like hype. I know materials are not the full cost of a product, they may be the lowest portion of the cost of bringing something to market. But this is truly egregious.
So the cost of this filter, from my own research is about the same price as other “fancy” hepa filters out there. Also part of the reason why it’s more “expensive” (again from my research) is because they are getting material from good sources that keep a low carbon footprint, locally sourced, etc. If you put in the cost and time it takes to grow the material and keeping it alive without using a bunch of chemicals it does cost money.
@@ByulSo I regularly purchase these products for other projects. I buy high quality. Even if I'm not buying the absolute best, I'm also not buying in bulk B2B. I just can't imagine a universe where the amount of material, even if it were grown in the palace gardens of kings, could amount to this much cost. I think this is a lot to do with the start-up costs/marketing/labor costs of the business. To make the business viable, they'll have to bring it down.
Okay, well you can always write to the company with your concerns, I don't work there but that was from all my research. @@amythinks
This product would be more impressive with a solar powered fan, although it would probably be always on at a low-level during day and probably off at night. Also drastically reducing the cost to 200$ would be more convenient for buying multiple BRiiV for the home.
You’re really comparing a houseplant to an active air purifying device?
And they only answer questions from people who ask surface level questions…not intelligent ones like yours. Thank God I can think for myself before using my hard earned money again😂😂😂
This test impressed brainlets everywhere.
Hi, what’s the maintenance like on this? Do the filters need replacing? If so, how often and how much is that?
The moss and coconut filters typically last around 12 months, whereas the nano matrix typically lasts around 3 months. You can buy replacement filter packs on our website here: www.briiv.co.uk/products/briiv-one-year-filter-set
The company won’t exist in12 month that’s the issue . Nice idea though
Going bankrupt? @@neojfk1883
Do you have any data about the efectiveness at removing polutants, humitity, and C02?
They answered every question except for questions like these. This is a flag for me.
I like the idea of this but I feel it’s really small and much too expensive for what it is, probably cost £30 pounds to manufacture.
This comment is the most underrated.
You're paying for low energy usage and R&D on new technologies.
Pretty stupid comparison really. Really stupid actually.
I would have liked to see the planet finish absorbing the smoke…and how much time it would take..
Are you planning to make a larger unit any time in the future? I’m imagining that would be able to filter larger rooms/areas quieter than a smaller unit.
Hi Mark, this is a possibility! We're hoping to expand the product out into various versions and lines.
Can you please advise on how to connect this to Google Home? I can't find any info anywhere, I am loving the Briiv so far!
A plant does not have a fan to circulate the air why not put it up against another machine not plant?
We ran this test because on common misconception is that a houseplant can clean your air just the same.
@@briiv.natural put a fan with a carbon filter in the box with the plant and i bet you have the same results. this is silly
@@audenharper3014my gut tells me this is another lame startup that MAY fail a few years later. We will see.
Hello Briiv, Wanting to live a more cruelty free lifestyle can you design the Briiv air purifier with linen or cotton or other non wool materials for the filter components? Thank you 😊
Hello Hang, thanks for your comment! You'll be happy to hear that we exclusively use Ahimsa (Peace) Silk in our filter material, which ensures the harvesting of the silk is ethically done and cruelty free! ♥ We are also putting the finishing touches to a brand new alternative filter, which contains no silk at all! We'll be announcing this exciting new innovation soon! ☺
What level is recommended for 24 hour use with a heavy per household?
Hello Abby! In terms of how long the briiv unit should run for or how often you should cycle the air in your room, we would say that naturally depends on the environment you have it in. A space where the atmosphere doesn’t change very often like a bedroom with closed windows and doors, won’t start to become stale and have particulate matter noticeably around until likely the next day, so one full pass a day would probably suffice. If briiv is in the kitchen for example and a couple of meals a day are being made by family members, or you pets running around leaving dander about, then your machine will likely need to run a little more often. By a ‘full pass’, we mean that the unit has successfully taken in and cleansed the entire volume of air in the room. We measured in a 6m x 6m room for example, on full power (Level 4) briiv will do this in one-hour and Level 3 in about two hours. Level 2 in about 4 hours and Level 1 in about 6 hours. So depending on where you have your air purifier and the localised environment, you may need to run it more or less, but we would recommend at least one full pass per day to ensure a more constant higher quality of breathable air.
@@briiv.natural How long will it last being on 24 hours? what kind of warranty is offered?
@@MrComputerhacka All briiv units are under warranty for 2 years, so if anything were to go wrong with your unit we would replace/fix it free of charge. The unit's lifespan is linked to the fan which is rated for 50,000 hours, which equates to 10 years on 12 hours of usage a day!
@@briiv.natural Awsome to hear. I have very bad allergies and having this would help tremendously. Once I am able to order one I will be sure to put a review up on TH-cam.
I love being able to share fantastic products like these to friends and family. Hopefully it is a good as everyone says.
Finally got mine and after using it for one day, I actually woke up without any sinus congestion. This product is amazing!😍
That's amazing to hear Rhet, thank you so much for sharing ☺. Congratulations too on reaching 100K video views on your channel! That's amazing work!
Do you think, you would be able to find an alternative to wool in the future or are planning on it?
Only the early briiv prototype used wool. briiv now uses a 3 step filtration of method of moss, coconut and a silk matrix filter, which combines both carbon and nanofibres.
Where do I go to buy this?
Can you tell me how much it costs to purchase one and ship it to California?
