Are you asking about the louvers on the front? They are manually adjustable. Simply grab the little handle on the bottom left and move them up and down as needed.

This information can be found in your instruction manual. If not all 3 pieces are needed, then do not use them all. It is provided for windows sizes from 29.5" to 59" wide. Please see the excerpt from our manual below. "NOTE: Adjust the length of the window slider kit according to the window width or height, and secure it with the provided locking screws. NOTE: If the window opening is less than 29.5” the minimum length of the window slider kit, measure and cut the panel with a hole in it to fit the window opening. Never cut out the hole in the window slider kit."

The air conditioner has multiple functions to remove condensate. It has an auto water evaporation system to water is sent out the exhaust hose. It also has a water tank that will need to be drained when full or use with a drain hose for continuous draining.

Do I have to get up in the middle of the night to schlep it into the bathroom so I can dump it, or do I have to keep the unit elevated so it can drain into a bucket? If so, can't they be designed like dehumidifiers with their own bucket attached that can be removed and emptied? Sure would be cleaner, and I wouldn't have to buy a table to put the unit on, and have an ugly gerry-rigged set up taking up space in my small room.

@@equitybrandsllc.1068 , Ok, i looked quickly. It seems, unless it's really humid (like most states in summer), draining should not be a problem. I already purchased this, so I'll see how it does, and let everyone else know. Thanks for the link. There wasn't any useful one on Costco, just a link for warranty purposes, and when I looked around that Black and Decker site for air conditioners, zero come up.

@@equitybrandsllc.1068 , Thanks for the link, but I have had it for three days, and had to empty it twice, and I have mine on cool, not dehumidify. I don't have a floor drain like the instructions say. It would have been so much better to have a bucket to empty like dehumidifiers have.

Is the water tank out of position? Make sure the water tank is securely in place. If so, Have you tried another outlet? If it no longer works or powers on at all, if purchased within 30 days, contact your retailer for a possible exchange. If passed 30 days, please contact the # located on the manual for assistance.

Press and hold the sun button (between power and timer) until you see a "thermometer symbol" next to the Fahrenheit "F" symbol (upper-right). Then you can adjust the desired temperature from the arrow up and arrow down buttons. Once you get your target temp set, press and hold the sun button again until it beeps.

We are in the process of updating our manual. The button is for the defrost function. Do not press unless you are defrosting the unit. See below for info. Press the button in the center of the temperature control dial to defrost. The button will remain depressed for several minutes. When the defrost cycle is complete the defrost button will return to its original position.

Each unit comes with one Drain hose and an adapter. The instructions in the manual are pretty clear on what these pieces are. Only the BD50PMWSA comes with a 2nd hose for the drain pump. The drain hose is used for Continuous draining instead of emptying out the bucket. The drain hose should be placed in a drain, if one is available.

Try resetting the table. To Reset, at the lowest position, hold the down button for 5 seconds. The lifting system should bottom out and rebound slightly to indicate that the reset was successful.
