Also before this comment section gets out of hand. TO CLARIFY my argument is based off of people shitting on characters for their morality. I am not arguing any other topic as in how well they are written, how much they impact the story, the roles they play etc. I hope this clarifies any confusion

Interesting point of view! Personally, I don't like either Raiden Shogun or Scaramouche. I was surprised when people praised Scaramouche's character arc because it felt like Raiden all over again to me. When I express this opinion, I often face attacks, with people labeling me as someone who doesn't understand or as a simp. Plus, I'm not a fan of Hoyoverse's writing skills. In fact, I spent about a month lurking in a video criticizing Hoyoverse's writing, which I now realize was not the wisest choice. However, I do believe that Hoyoverse is improving in its writing.

TLDW: Hoyoverse Fans only accept characters that are lawfully good, or lawfully evil. But when a character is chaotic neutral or chaotic evil, etc. they get shit on. Like wtf? Also character flaw bad unless you find them hot apparently to these people. Insanity really. In the video I talk about how certain characters get way more shit just because they are quirky in nature, and are associated with alignments that arent necessarily black and white definitions of good and evil. DISCLAIMER: EVERYONE IS SUBJECT TO THEIR OWN OPINION AND ALSO CHARACTERS I BRING UP IN THIS RANT NEGATIVELY, I HAVE NO ISSUE WITH IM ONLY TRYING TO PROVE A POINT. raiden shogun for example- She is a clearly a character that is not evil per say but is definitely flawed in her way of thinking. Obviously at the end of the Inazuma quest, she learns about her mistakes and makes an effort to fixes them. YET PEOPLE HATE ON HER LIKE CRAZY. No idea why. If someone like myself likes her, we just get called a simp. Scaramouche on the other hand- (no hate to this character btw) clearly very selfish, and evil until we and nahida beat his ass then he is somewhat neutral character. YET PEOPLE LOVE HIM AND HIS FATUI SQUAD Another example - Stellaron Hunters - " evil" wanted group of characters in Star Rail Universe. People shit on them (i see less hate for them compared to raiden shogun hate but still....) for it. Makes sense until you realize, uh they the ones who sent you to your Nameless friends, which in turn you and your trailblazing squad help Jarilo 6. They also the ones that help point you to a stellaron crisis on the loufu and point you to a series of clues on how corrupt the Family/ Watchmaker can be in Penacony. ( Penacony story isn't finished when I was writing this so the true villain I do not know yet per say although i do have some guesses) You could argue they being manipulative but if pointing you to issues for you and the trailblazing team to solve is being manipulative, you an idiot period. ALSO WE LITERALLY KEEP IN CONTACT WITH THEM THROUGH TEXT ( if you pull for them or do some events with them). Are they a chaotic faction in the game, Yes , but does that mean they should get shit for it. Nah. I could list more examples in the comment but I wont there are countless examples more I haven't mentioned in the video, or here. My point is Hoyoverse Fans dont seem to understand characters that are gray in alignment, If it is a character that is not 100% evil or a character that is 100% good, these fans seem to hate on quite a lot ( from my perspective). Am I being dumb for ranting about fictional characters? Yes. People are allowed to have opinions and at the end of the day we talking about hoyoverse characters, no reason to get angry. BUT MAN SOME PEOPLE HAVE SHITTTTTT OPINIONS. RANT IN COMMENTS OVER.
