Back in the 80's in New York City, before the days of the "phaser" siren, ambulances only had yelp, wail and hi-lo and I remember hi-lo being used quite often. Some ambulances even used it as their primary siren sound, only occasionally switching off to the other 2 sounds. As time went by it seemed to become less common, although several ambulances in NYC are actually now back to using hi-lo as their primary sound.
275 had a Q, but......where is it?
