This is an awesome band to see live.

When the song was first performed, I had a very brief exchange with Patty about what specifically motivated the writing of it, even though we all can figure out the general motivation. I can’t say that I was surprised at her reasons. I’ve been in crowds when she’s performed and although that was in a very public setting, I took note of the inappropriate comments. Not things like “she’s hot” or “wow, I’d like to meet her”, I’ll let you use your imagination but they were mostly way off color creep talk. The kind of stuff you hear from guys who evidently are not very respectful of women and tend to merely objectify them. She has a huge point in writing this. It’s an uncomfortable situation for most any woman.
