isnt cosmic revelation a significantly better deep knowledge in 4 player? Like sure it costs 1 xp, but its 0 cost draw 4 cards amongst the players at the table no matter where they are. That's... incredibly efficient and is going to be a staple im positive.

Surviver has winging it or moonstone or other thing you want to discard so that's just as valuable as getting the skill into your deck. EG reuse sharp vision to discard winging it?

Good video--thank you. I'm playing "Where's the Party?" in my Alessandra and Harvey Mythos Busters FHV season, and the card is excellent. Not busted, but very strong.

Just on "bless tokens don't do anything by themselves" - what they do is dull the bottom end of the chaos bag. So yes I agree +2 is effectively equivalent to 0 most of the time (although it does happen that a treachery will force you to take a test at -2 and then a bless can be delightful). But what they help with is turning the -4 in the bag into a -2. So for example, night of the zealot standard bag testing at with skulls = -1 and cultist and tablet = -3: Testing at +2, No blurse: 11/16 success Testing at + 2, 10 blesses: 12.9/16 success Testing at +3, No blurse: 14/16 success That's means having those blesses in the bag is almost as good as +1 to testing skill. Also, fwiw: Testing at +2, 10 curses: 8.34/16 success Testing at +1, No blurse: 8/16 success (assuming you draw max 1, can't be bothered to do the math on drawing double curses). Curses are quite bad, and worse than blesses are good.

Exhausted and engaged with you is what Kymani wants to kill enemies, too.

I assume "Where's the party?" should have you shuffle the encounter deck if you choose to do so. Strange it's not on there.

Lily Chen can definitely make good use of the Spell trait on Hunters Mark, using Arcane Initiate to dig it up along with Spectral Razor, Voice of Ra, Enchant Weapon, Brand of Cuthuga etc

Totally agree with you on Cosmic and the Eye. Eye especially. It's such an awesome design space that they've explored and now you can just lean into all of that encounter draw even more. Absolutely love it.

The cards I'm most excited about are the new Investigators.

This was excellent play, gents. Love to see a concept work out in execution. One suggestion, if I may: There are a LOT of curse tokens in the bag. Curses are a negative effect, since they provide -2 to every test when you draw them, and make it harder to pass tests. I've noticed that Justin keeps sneaking them in by committing Esoteric Method. Is there a way you can put The Tower into his opening hand and prevent him from doing so?

Is it even legal to reveal, that everyone has an odd or even card to play?

Yeah, I was really kinda sad trying to build Amina. Feel she needs more support, but then again I feel the 3333 versatile investigators as a while need some love, like we got in EotE.

Man, I feel like I need some support in deck building for Scarlet Keys. Successfully ran through it with Suzi and Ursula 2h, but recently I've gone 3 campaign starts with 3 teams of investigators and have been dumpstered by this campaign. Dunked on hard. The campaign really puts some serious restraints in who to bring, what you need to overcome the massive action tax.

Holy moly, 9 curse tokens on turn 1, action 1 and Amanda having 8-12 cards through the whole game is kinda insane. Still, I feel like we saw very few curse tokens drawn at all and you hovered around 9 in the bag at all times - RNG at it's finest 😅 Daisy's grimoire was sadly empty most of the time

So when I play table-top, I use four coloured meaples to represent the 4 phases of a round, then I use colluded counters to flag what admin not to forget. If an Investigator is engaged with a monster (which I've seen actually overlooked more than once) I place a red counter on the Investigator Card, another on the enemy card in the Investigator's threat area. If a character has a 'condition' such as 'frozen in terror', I place a green counter on the Investigator card, but also a green counter between the Investigator Phase meaple and the Enemy Phase - to remind an Investigator should make a Will Test at the end of their turn to shrug off frozen in fear. There are other little tricks I use, but this formal way of keeping track reduces errors in gameplay.

My only complaint is the attachment helper should apply a ‘George’s boat’ skin to reinforce the theme. I kid. Love the updates! Thanks!

Fully agree that solo play with 2 investigators isn't much fun. Can you suggest your top true solo investigators?

Truly magnificent features! Very high QOL factor! Did you consider making the "max hand size reached upon next draw" and "currently at max hand size" colors differ? Maybe yellow and orange? I feel like yellow for both kinda defeats the purpose of the "almost at hand size" coloring (since you'll still have to check whether you're *at* or *near* hand size).

Regarding the handsize warning - have you considered changing the colour of the larger number (number of cards currently in hand) as the player reaches / surpasses max hand size? I think that would 'pop' more and give more of a heads-up, as currently you might only look at the small number of you're consciously checking your hand size,

Haha, just rewatching this, for the bazillionth time, theory creating for the big gun, and a thought came to mind of a 2p duo, of sister Mary + maybe Parallel Matheo, sister Mary, doing the whole nuns with guns, supporting perhaps the Springfield M1908, and Matheo packing the big Tank Buster, as he can guarantee a hit, with ancient covenant + sealed bless tokens ;)

Those are very interesting features! I'm personally excited for the Action Tracker and the tokens not falling off other cards (like damage on enemies or clues on locations)! Actually, there's something I'd like to ask you. When i play Arkham on Tabletop Simulator, screen freezing like the one in 16:50 happens each 10 minutes or so, is that a problem in Tabletop Simulator or is it something that happens when playing the Super Complete Edition?

Hardboiled: For Carson Sinclair. In your turn, give an action to your fighter. Then they take their turn, and you commit it to their last attack. (after you boost their other attacks with viscous blow or something)

Really fantastic insight as always! Just a bit of insight from someone who made Chainsaw work recently, it's actually a Tool. So it can be put in a Tool belt and swapped with another Tool as a fast action. I actually had two Chainsaws and a Sledgehammer in a Wilson deck recently and switched between them once per turn if necessary. You can use Cleaning Kit to refill it, and technically Tinker allows it to be one hand slot. Which is honestly absurd, lol. My only other answer is to play Bark Harrigan, but that's not a real solution of course lol.

Love these playthroughs the two of you are doing. In so many multiplayer playthroughs, people are just playing cards, so those of us just watching get lost quickly. With the two of you explaining not only what cards you're playing but why, it's fun to watch and also helps me learn to play better. Thanks!

Ugh I almost always have ArkhamDB, Strange Eons, or both open for *years* now. I’m always trying to absorb info, videos, playstyles, perspectives, card dissections / analyses, etc. online (mainly for trying to make cards). I mean just analyzing every aspect of a card making neuron activation go crazy in brain or whatever. But the people I play this game with usually do not. So, I have to turn that information overload off when I’m around them. Add “burden of knowledge” in there somewhere. (Also Level 1 cards are the best -> see Doppelgänger)

Yeah, yeah, live these chats! Thank you both. Loving a lot of the Drowned City cards so far. Hardboiled. Love it. Slam dunk. The devs really seem to have found their stride in making some truly versatile and interesting cards. Have played so many cars where Arkham DB and the vids have absolutely bagged on a card, and it's become an all star in a deck of mine. "Sharpshooter" for example, in my first ever Winnifred deck, paired with Jenny as a double rogue, teamwork using duo, swapping guns, funds, and it was a riot of a great time, running through Carcosa with them. It's a lot about playstyle. Synes cards NEED to be played. They can look garbage on paper, or online, but when you actually play it, man oh man, is it different. Great chat. Love these. Thank y'all.
