What a wonderful version of a beautiful song. The message is so clear; it is amazing how when someone covers a song that critical reviews seem to somehow expect the same or a better version of the original....whatever happened to respecting an entirely new,equally lovely rendition of a special song?! For the main part,it would seem to be that the most beautiful,the most meaningful songs are covered,re-arranged and forever stay within hearts whether the year be 1940 or 2016...or way back further or yet beyond....therefore it stands to reason that such enduring melodies and lyrics will forever be someone else's personal interpretation of an already great song but without losing the essence of all it carries. This is just an exact case in point......absolutely lovely in still holding all it ever meant way back in the '60s yet losing absolutely nothing being updated because it sounds gorgeous and every single word is clear with the loudest message needed right now more than ever. Every single version I've ever heard of this heart-reaching song is simply beautiful in its' own way because from the moment it was born it never lost the emotion or the plea. This is just one more to add because as long as it lives on....and it is now 2016... it will forever ask that question and beg everyone who cares to listen...so,how much longer,I wonder??
