You keep on surprising me, bringing back some really old memories. I might have shared this story, but you might not have known this song back then. Around 86-87, we were busy playing mostly Hindi songs in Bombay and had one of the biggest shows in Churni road. The band (owner) lady (Mrs Chonkar) was a Maharashtriyan and so were most of the singers and the musicians (except me :)). Occasionally will have a last minute request. But this time I had the singer come to me and say he is asked to sing a Marathi song. He hummed the tune, I caught the scale and with first E7 he started to sing. It was a very peppy number and the guitarists, percussionists knew the pieces so it sounded great. The crowd went wild. (Of course I played extempore interludes that I could think of. Just followed the typical Am progression.) Since it was the song just before the intermission, the lady owner came behind the stage and introduced me to a young gentleman, saying this is Arun, we went to school together. As she mentioned his last name as Paudwal, it reminded me of a female singer too (Anuradha Paudwal). Anyway he took out a cassette from his pocket and said you guys played it very well/ differently, but listen to this. I thanked and kept in the pocket. That night I checked it out at home. It was the audio cassette of Gammat Jammat and he was the music director Arun Paudwal (married to Anuradha that time.) 🙏 - Interesting memories.. You played the bassline perfectly. (So for the bassist you can think it as in the Key of D. But it is really notated in Gm (Sa as G). Keep playing and make great music..

Maxwell, so underrated, good choice

Have the same bass and amp. Great practice combo, though it's better for clean tone than distortion. now i mostly play with an ampeg rb that i got for gigging cause it comes with the aux in and phones feature. Keep up the good work.
