Librareggae is a British singer and music producer based in the UK with ancestral roots in Guyana and Montserrat.
Influenced by many acts as a youth, he was touched by ska, rocksteady, motown, pop and reggae.
He learned a number of instruments whilst playing the drums in a few bands. This is where he gained experience in arranging and composing.
He would later go on to build a small studio in order to produce his own material and in 2022 he began releasing his music onto the digital platforms.
In 2024 he also launched a new project on TH-cam called 'Recreated Classics' where he rebuilds and sings old songs.

Librareggae - Johnny Too Bad
⁷Jamaican group ‘The Slickers’ arrived as a rocksteady group during the 60s. They featured various members that came and left i.e: Derrick Crooks, Roy Beckford, George Agard, Winston Bailey and a few others. This track composed by Trevor ‘Batman’ Wilson (who actually WAS a rude boy with a pistol in his waist) also featured in ‘The Harder They Come’ movie. The song was released in 1970. Copyright do create problems but now it doesn't affect your channel with most songs even if the song goes viral the original artist takes a percentage from your ads.

My influence is not as cultured as yours because only got to listen to reggae more after my Dad passed as he was a Jazz musician and his records mainly consisted of jazz, At the time I wasn't to hot on it but I love it now, I went through the Trojan era listening to Bob and the wailers when I went to dances and later to blues. however I was on the same label as Bob Marley but there was no comparison To Bob apart from the rim shot, 😂, and when you get a producer who knows nothing about reggae it don't help. Oh and great track here Libra as always. ✌
