Please began to push for the SBA program to provide help with building new industrial, and commercial (hotels, factories, industrials, and computers. Also look at Tax Credits (Low Income, Historical, New Market) and others to maintain historical bodies. PUSH forward and keep the history Economics provides the strength to maintain.

Rents are now outrageously high, and the square footage is steadily squeezing in. The noise from other apartments can be heard, dogs barking, people walking, and toilets flushing. We are all being marginalized, if you get the opportunity to purchase a home, the tax assessment can in some cases make that home too expensive to manage. Food is king, being able to grow your own healthy sustenance is what life is all about, that is what should be taught to the young who will listen. New family dynamics. Village family values, a call for new airs to keep the land healthy and growing food for the Village.

My family migrated from Orangeburg South Carolina to Massachusetts where I was raised. This was deep.

I have been to Charleston S.C. I was able to visit the downtown market place where the Gulla people made and sold their baskers made of grass which is grown on the lakes that border their properties. which is aire property. Because the properties are aire properties, the properties are slowly being lost because of laws that state , if one of the aires want to sell their portion of the property , then the entire tract of land is now able to be sold by individual plots. Which causes the remaining aires that want to keep their plots of land together as one plot, vunerable to lose that right, and now allows other uses of the land for new owners, eliminating the aire property rights.

I hope this families keep their land and don't let this devil's take it or convince them to sell it!!😢

I wish I had family that passed land down to me, I always wanted to own land here in America but since it was out of my reach financially I purchased land in the Motherland. I plan to build a life there my kids will cherish years to come. They fortunately know the value of land and look forward to it.

Lose our land = lose our history. We have to remember how precious our land really is. Many of our ancestors worked for years to acquire and keep property. Why sell the land and then rent from someone else? Great question.

It is amazing how minority communities are always slated for destruction when highways or dams are planned. Some times people are not informed and don't know how to fight when their communities are slated to be destruction. We have to fight and continue to stay informed. Keep your land. You can make money you can not make more land.

It’s not so much as educating yourself about land laws, the deck is being stacked against them. The state/county uses TAXES to force them out or these ridiculous traffic changes 😢 AFRICAN AMERICANS STOP SELLING YOUR LAND… lease it out if you need money… that way you have residual income.

I fear my grandpa kids which are my uncles are going to sell his land that's been in our family for two centuries. They don't understand the legacy of our ancestors even having land & are so quick to get rid of everything once the elders pass. It's disgraceful in my opinion.

My family has heirs land in Texas and some of the descendants live on their share of the land, a few acres have been sold. Part of the problem is it is in the country, not a lot of industry there, its in Texas and many of us live out of state. It is cool that it has been in our black family for about 100 years and the family reunion is held there every summer. At least the concensus of this generations heirs is we should keep it in the family at all costs. Each family pays a share of the property taxes each year, which are low as long as there are grazing animals on the land. Thank God for my country farming cousins.

Also they can use incinerating septic systems, solar toilets, and solar showers. The advantage of living on/near marsh- Wetlands, Bogs and in a flood zone, is that you only need to dig 100 feet with an auger to get well water. This may rub some folks the wrong way. But, back in the day, we needed land to farm, feed ourselves and survive. However, farming is not what most young people are interested in. Land usage has to be updated. Talk with the young people about ideas for land usage other than farming. Perhaps they can build houses that are worth renting out or some other kind of businesses. Otherwise, If they sell the land, they can still invest in something that is worth having today. Holding on to land and not making use of it, will only lead to more land loss.
