Railfans called in on the Yale Subdivision
มุมมอง 72110 หลายเดือนก่อน
It is a mild December day at 222nd street, just outside the township of Fort Langley. We are here on this day for some trains of course. This is our third train of the morning. As we see CN Q103s headlights 'round the bend at Fort Langley, we hear RTC talk about trespassers at mile 104.31, Yale Subdivision. It seems somewhat close to where we were stationed, however as far as I knew, we weren't...
CN 2514 Trails on U744
มุมมอง 13510 หลายเดือนก่อน
On the afternoon of December 10 2023, we hear a U744 call at Mile 105 on the Yale Subdivision. We were set up at MP 103. We already were aware that CN 2514, a rare C44-9WL, was in Thornton Yard. We heard what we believed to be a K3L horn blaring at the mile 102 crossing, so I joked and said, "Ha ha, I bet it's 2514 leading." I then saw that it was a Gevo (that being CN 2874). Little did I know ...

hmmm I think that you should make like just raw footage, enjoy the experience and if people need context you could have a second video with the voice over. Crazy idea but I feel like it could make all your audience satisfied.
Why?
Watching in the Uk ,enjoyed ,not enough west coast stuff on here and very little of New Westminster ,well done !
Personally I think it was a great video but I cannot stand voiceovers. I simply like the raw audio of the video experience. Everyone is different but It is annoying to mute videos due to talking.
Do like the voice overs. Not knowing much/anything about trains do provide information . Thanks

I have a cpkc railroad spike it’s from smith falls Ontario
Do we know of any others being painted now?
No not yet unfortunately.
14:06 this clip is awesome!
Why is it on the 9
The 9 is currently dieselized due to the SkyTrain contstruction.
@@TrainWatcher-hv5dz I see but it’s construction dieselize
Yup , we like the voiceover and would like to see a little humor & special effects from time to time ( a lot of train videos are pretty boring ) . How about a good quality drone to enhance your already good work . Drone shots are great for train meets , crossovers and changing signals . Nice work . We'll be looking for more from you !
i love BCOL
Awesome catches! What video camera do you use?
Awesome set of catches. I just subscribed to your channel. Great train content! Have a great day.
What a nice catch. Anytime you see a BNSF OCS train, the locomotives leading ALWAYS get cleaned up.
just outside of braid?
sapperton, right by the hospital im pretty sure
Great video (I’m near there!) do you know what times trains pass?
Other than amtrak, Via, and Rocky Mountaineer its random. The only train I could tell you about is CN 905 (K587 or something) which is ordered in North Van at 9:05am daily and hits the New Westminster Sub around 11-Noon.
@@TrainWatcher-hv5dzgood to know, many thanks. Just curious- how did you find out the times about CN 905?
@@toomuchtoby1 just from people up the great vine. There isn't anything online about train order times. Just locals let me know.
@@TrainWatcher-hv5dz ah makes sense. Btw, you know when the RMR passes?
that double bcol lashup is awesome
Awesome video! Thanks for getting up early to catch the new CPKC livery for the rest of us. Cheers
Excellent video.Enjoyed the voice over. On July 9, I noticed and photographed CPKC unit 4805 being used in pusher service at GEDDIS.I was very surprised capturing this special paint scheme locomotive in pusher service.Cheers.
Were you actually trespassing or just cranky railroaders.
Fantastic thumbnail and good video.
The voice over is an awesome touch to your videos. Great video! Definitely worth a sub!
Nice catch!
Well done getting the first 2 CPKC painted units! The livery may lack the KCS in it, but I do like how it resembles AWVR a little. Greetings from Tennessee.
Is it just me or does the CPKC look almost identical to the CP paint scheme? Couldn't Pick Kool Colors
Beats me, new livery of CPKC looks like Belgium Flag.
Great video well done!
Keep the narrations
great catches, im liking the new scheme . 730/731 are interchange at kamloops unless the 730s couldnt be tipped at delta port and sent back to kamloops loaded and become c741kamloops to rupert
Ya there’s no reason why an empty coal train would head to Prince Rupert
Great catches!
I saw 9375 in poco on june 16th but I had no idea the duo ran through ridge, great video!
Nice catch and awesome video😊
Nice video
I captured kcs 4805 & unstoppable cp 9782 at Port Coquitlam three days ago.
This is so cool! Great narrating! Those 2 crossings in Maple Ridge are definitely on my bucket list for me to check out and do my Train horn salute test at next time I’m visiting the Mainland! 👍

That must’ve been quite a shock to hear (and probably super confusing as well), but to be honest, it didn’t really seem like y’all were trespassing to me. There’s probably a whole range of reasons why they’d call you in, whether it’s just playing it safe while assuming the worst (things like playing chicken with a train or placing things on the rail, especially since that curve might cause that extra degree of uncertainty) or someone just being a jerk, but I’m not gonna jump to conclusions. Regardless, y’all seem to be at a safe distance from the railway, so I wouldn’t pin the blame on yourselves. I’ve never had UP or BNSF call me in like that, although granted I’m usually either in a parking lot near the tracks, at a store/museum I know that permits railfanning (heck, it even has a fence to prevent people from trespassing onto the railway line), or at a public grade crossing. Like I said, don’t pin the blame on yourselves as y’all are clearly far enough back from the railway line.
Excellent video Friend LIKE 👍🏻 greetings 🙋🏻
Back in 1990 I was working for a short line, and we had a woman general manager she'd see me only with long hair, she did not realize that I had my hair cut during the weekend and I was switching cars down in the harbor, and she came over and started screaming at me that I was trespassing and that she was going to have me arrested you know the whole routine , I just looked at her and said okay Arlene but you do know I work for you right all she said was oh good God got back in her vehicle and left, we had some pretty good laughs later!! I work for a class one railroad for the last quite a few years, and if I see kids being dangerous I'll say hey you got to leave but if they're just taking pictures and they're not hurting anything, have fun and don't get hurt, sometimes you have to assess every situation differently, after a while you get to know, but you know what keep on rail Fanning, there's worse things you could be doing LOL
