The Dichotomy of Walter White and Gus Fring - A Breaking Bad Video Analysis

After watching BCS and Breaking Bad, Gus may have been a scumbag but he did everything for his goals. Walter did it because of his ego and not wanting help from others. Gus was the hero of both shows.
Song?
Gus was one scary sumbitch. The 'Box Cutter' episode was extremely intense. Those, what, 10 minutes, he was absolutely silent and yet sent that message loud and clear. He reminded me of The Predator, a silent but deadly killer in plain sight. He didn't have to be loud and boisterous to be an evil monster. His calmness got the point across much better.
9:10 this is me rn 😷
Walt is a narcissist. Gus is a psychopath. Everything Walt does is driven by emotion - completely fueled by ego. Everything Gus does is driven by logic - completely void of emotion….like a robot.
I hope you're doing okay now, I often find myself wondering what old creators are up to nowadays, anyway I no you won't see this buty best wishes to your future.
Eh, he hearted it
What’s the song in the background ?
Very good video, but the background music was too loud
what song is it ?
Gus isn't a better Walter White. Walter is a worse Gus Fring.
I actually think that Gus is a more "moral" person. Not really, but he atleast just wants things to flow naturally. In Gus's ideal world nobody needs to get injured. While Walt is more of a ticking bomb like Mike said. Willing to do anything to be at the top. Yeah, Gus had dealers who used kids, but he wanted them to stop to keep the peace between Walt and him. And once he heard that the dealers had killed the kid, he said that he would have dealt with them if Walt hadn't. I don't think Gus would've allowed that because he values profesionalism. And killing kids is not proffesional.
Can you turn up the music more I couldn’t hear it through your voice
I just today, literally today about 1 hour ago completed the last episode. Holy smokes, we (with my friends) have started watching this since the Oct-2022 and it is today 8th Sep-2023. BB has shared all seasons, be it winter, summer or monsoon we used to watch it on the terrace in the home projector under the open sky. This one is one of my most memorable moments in life 🤟
does anyone know the music in this video..the tragic or kinda meloncholic music in background
Walter was trying to enter the life of crime, while Gus was trying to leave it. They basically ran into each other while trying to cross the bridge.
Gus says," kids will never eat it". I think gus didn't really have children, and that it was a manipulation tactic.
0:00 THIS is the scene that separates Breaking Bad from Better Call Saul. I followed Giancarlo Esposito’s advice and, even though I had already watched BB before BCS, I rewatched BCS first and then BB. Almost all of BCS and BB is similar, up until this moment. Mike has been in this situation too many times: Having the upper hand by making sure he’s the guy holding the gun. Walt revealing he knows the address of the guy who was SUPPOSED to replace him changes everything. Mike has never been in this situation in BCS, a situation where he’s holding the gun and yet it means absolutely nothing.
I would’ve rather see gus enslave Walt then the nazis enslave Jessie
My mans made 2 vids then bounced
Your video is pointless so i wont waste my time watching it. Walt outsmarted Gus and beat him. That makes Walt superior.
This guy was probably really good in English class
Id say that mike was the better walt because he actually succeded at providing for his family, it all would have went well for him if not walts ego
My fucking favorite analysis of the whole series
What is the song name playing in this video?
did you find out
Nice try but no. There were some out here who were supporting and rooting for Hank and his colleagues in the DEA. We understood why Walter was behaving the way he was but having spent a life in the service of their community, as veterans, teachers, etc. Would rather die than break bad! I am halfway through a twenty year death sentence of kidney disease. I have the medical and chemical knowledge to make far more money than either Gus or Walt. So why not break bad, leave my family with more money than my pathetic pensions will ever provide? The answer is very simple and if you watch Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and El Camino, then don't get it. Seek professional help because you really need it.
In rational sense Walter makes logical decision. Would rather die is emotional motive and both can be right and wrong.
I see Walt learn from Batman! 😂
More Please!🙏🏻
Gus is neither straight nor white which instantly makes him better than walter. Fuck nazis.
Funny joke 😂
Vrabo Bince!!
Gus : Ego without an Ego Walter : Ego With an Ego Me : I dunno but Saul gotta go . Hector : 🛎
Walter White was Heisenbergs alter ego.
Bless you
Walter White VS Gus Fring Breaking Bad was really about the neverending rivalry between Chemistry Majors VS Business Majors.
Dih
I wish people would stop simping for breaking bad so hard, its a good show but a perfect example of one of the worst writing in media, and everything suffers from it, it being that the protagonist must always win, in real world walter would be dead in a ditch somewhere
Because you, of all people would know what it's like to be in the meth business.
Wtf r u taking about 😂 it's fine if you don't like it but to say it has bad writing is jus wrong
And he winds up dead in meth lab floor
what song is this?
did you find out
Am i the only one who watched the whole series via youtube videos and shorts, knowing whole story without watching a single episode?
Gus was more in control of his actions, however, he has had more years in the game for experience.
I totally disagree, gustavo its not "better" Walter white, gus was beaten cause of his hate, gustavo is an variant of what walter could be. A better walter white, is walter white without family. Anyways I changed my mind, in series breaking bad, the only character who actually like walter white but *better* yeah
9:10 bless you bro
The top 2 things that brought Walts downfall were #1 his pride and ego and #2 Jesse and his care for him
When Jesse killed Gus I cried Gus was such a sweetheart
great video!! as a person with auditory processing disorder, it might make you a little easier to understand if the background music was just slightly less loud. every time i heard the guitar in the background (mostly at the beginning when ur voice was lower and quieter) i was struggling to understand what you were saying :-(
What's the name of the song in the background?
.
This video would have been a lot more interesting if it was about Heisenberg and Gus instead of Walter and Gus, smh.
I got bored very quickly with the series. The setup establishes the entire show: He has cancer and makes meth [he's going to meet a bad end].
After watching Better Call Saul It frustrates me that hector got the last laugh
Gale died, so that his star lives...
i never rooted for walter. the only reason i finished the show was because i wanted to see how walter got his comeuppance. and he never even got it. dog shit ending
If this videos good I’ll watch breaking bad that’s my promise rn Edit: very well made but I can’t tell if it’s good or not bc idk what I’m watching guess I’ll have to watch the show to find out
