Please add additional information for mature international students.
Hi @SKtemp7 - there's a section for mature students on our entry requirements page: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/entry-requirements. We can be slightly more flexible with the entry requirements for mature students, but we do expect you to meet a certain academic level to ensure you can successfully complete the UPC course and progress to an undergraduate degree at a top UK university. We recommend mature students contact us via upc@ucl.ac.uk.

does UCL faculty of medicine accepts UCP?
Hi @humanisthumanist8299, you can apply for any UCL degree with the UPC, except for Medicine and Fine Art. If you meet the entry requirements and write a relevant personal statement, you are guaranteed progression to over 230 UCL degrees. You can progress to some Faculty of Medical Sciences degrees, but not MBBS Medicine. We have a page on 'Applying to UCL Medicine MBBS after the UPC' here: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/your-future-degree/applying-medicine
I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding my experience with the Bowman Scholarship application process at UCL. As a refugee, I have applied for this scholarship twice, demonstrating consistent dedication and competence throughout both attempts. I successfully passed the entrance exams on both occasions and answered all interview questions thoroughly. Additionally, I possess significant experience in pharmacy, which I believed would enhance my candidacy. Despite these qualifications, I was not selected for the scholarship either year. The feedback I received was disheartening and lacked clarity, leaving me feeling undervalued and frustrated. I had high hopes that UCL’s admissions team would recognize my potential and the unique challenges I face as a refugee. I sincerely hope that the admissions process can be improved to provide more constructive feedback and fairer consideration for future applicants in similar circumstances.
Dear @user-fh4vx6sz1d, We understand your disappointment at not being awarded the Bowman Scholarship. We receive a large number of applications, and only have two scholarships available each year. If you would like to receive further feedback on your application, please do email us. We wish you every success with your future studies.
Hi
Pls can I no all the requirements the need for there admission
Hello, I'm From India and I want study foundation year in UCL but I only finish my Secondary school 2020 and also I have 4 years career gap but I really want to Join UCL it's possible to join with you
Hello, it's great you're considering UCL and thank you for your message. Eligibility will depend on which high school qualifications you have. You can check here: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/entry-requirements/country#I. If you have any specific questions about qualifications, please email clie-marketing@ucl.ac.uk and we'll check with our admissions team.
Hello I have a Turkish High school certificate can I apply UPC or I need I apply access course for medicine
Hi @asiadrama5262 We receive lots of applications from Turkey to join our UPC course. Full details of which qualifications we accept can be found here: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/entry-requirements/country. I'm afraid it is difficult for international students to access Medicine degrees at UK universities. We've put together a page specifically for international students considering an MBBS Medicine degree here: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/your-future-degree/applying-medicine. It has some advice on the different routes available.
Hello, will I be allowed to stay in student dorms and allowed student accommodations (ex: dining hall meal plans) during my foundation year as an international student?
Hello, yes - UPC students can apply to UCL Accommodation for a place in halls. There are also private providers like Unite Students. If you are under 18, there are specific halls you would stay in. This page lists UCL Halls and says which ones are catered: www.ucl.ac.uk/accommodation/ucl-halls/undergraduate-accommodation
will i have a guarunteed offer after my UPC year as a data science major, thank you
Hi, apologies for the delay in replying. For 162 UCL degrees (including Data Science) UPC students will receive a conditional UG offer if they are predicted to meet its entry requirements and have a clearly relevant personal statement. Students who fulfil these conditional terms will automatically progress to their UCL degree. A list of the 162 degrees can be found on our website: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/your-future-degree
If I complete my UPC , I’ll be given guaranteed offers in 161 degrees. What kind of conditional offer would it be? Conditional offer would be just based on UPC performance or you’ll also consider my previous awaited results?
Hi Zamil, the conditional offer will be based on your predicted UPC grades and your written personal statement. Full information available here: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/your-future-degree
Can i use my GED transcript instead of my high school transcript?
Hello Saruda, we accept both GED and high school transcripts and what we need to see will depend on your qualification and grades. If you send an email over to upc@ucl.ac.uk they will be able to give you specific advice.
Is the Foundation Year free? If not; how much does it cost? And what if we can’t afford it as an international student, will we be able to get a scholarship?
Hi, you can find information on fees and financial support here: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/course-information#Fees,%20expenses%20and%20scholarships and we have a specific section about scholarships here www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/student-support/scholarships
I loved it! I am Brazilian and I particularly enjoyed the UCL's International Foundation Year programme. I'm a civil engineering student in Brazil, but I would love to join the University!
can you make a video about the social life as a UPC student?
Hi, we've recently posted a video of UPC student Ziyi speaking about her experiences and we'll be posting two more student videos very soon.
Can I progress into Bsc Computer Sciences after UPC?
Hi Zamil, there are 161 UCL degrees which offer students who successfully complete the UPC a guarunteed conditional offer. Unfortunately, that doesn't include Computer Science. You can still take the UPC and apply for Computer Science, however you will be in open competition with all applicants to the course and may not secure a place. How do I study at UCL without being 70k in debt
Hi Kantline, we appreciate how expensive it can be to study in the UK for international students. In order to minimise costs, I recommend looking at funding opportunities which may be available to you. This could include things like scholarships or seeing whether your government (or similar associated bodies, like embassies) are willing to (part-)fund your time at UCL. There is further information on fees and funding here: www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/undergraduate/funding-your-studies.
I am now doing it! Loving 🥰 the program & living in dorms in Ramsay Hall as well!!!!!
Hi Sevil... I wish to know that after applying for the UCL Pre-Sessional English course for your Master's, did you still give an English Language Proficiency Test? Or after applying for the course you got direct admission and NO international English Language Test?
Greetings Admin! I am a class 12 Indian student (A levels' equivalent) and have 2 brief questions- 1. I am enrolled in a State Board College (Maharashtra State Board), a qualification that doesn't allow direct entry to the UCL, however I have significant achievements in officially recognised olympiads such as the International Math Olympiad (TST level) and the prestigious KVPY Exam in India. I will also appear for the JEE next year. So can they be considered in my UCAS application for UCL or do I still have to attend the UPC Course? 2. I am unable to find the details of UPC Courses for 2021-22 academic year, i.e. for students taking admission in September 2022 on the UCL or UPC website. Please help.
Hi Manswind, thanks for your message. UCL usually looks at your school academic requirements, however you may wish to contact the undergraduate department you wish to apply to to check if they will take into consideration the KVPY exam etc. Contact details for each department are available on the UCL Undergraduate Online Prospectus: www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/undergraduate/degrees The UPC website for 2022 entry will be updated in October/November, before applications open in November. All the best with your future studies
@@uclclie Thanks a lot for replying @UCL, I genuinely appreciate it! I will do as you have suggested, but I believe the achievements should be considered since as an international applicant applying for a Bachelors in Math, the IMO is pretty much the only international achievement I can earn. Nonetheless, thank you for your help :)

Are there specific topics that we should study for the chemistry entrance test or is it general information ?
Hi fij - thanks for your query. To get an idea of the types of questions you'll be asked in the Chemistry entrance test, please see the sample paper on our website: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/preparation-courses/upc-foundation/how-to-apply/upc-entrance-tests
Your work is truly appreciated. I have received an offer for the UPCH, however, I remain undecided on which elective modules to pick. I have noticed a lack of essential information about each module's structure (unlike other programs at other universities), which really does not help me choose what modules would suit me best, in terms of content, curriculum and outcomes. Hence, as a friendly suggestion, it would most certainly be a useful resource if you make 'overview' videos about each module covering its key components. Yours sincerely, Mohammed H. G. Almojel
Hi Mohammed - thanks for your suggestion! A video about each module is certainly something we plan to do in the future. Just to check - have you already seen the module information on our website? If you go to www.ucl.ac.uk/upc, under "Course structure" there is pink drop-down box called "optional modules". If you click here, you'll find more detailed module descriptions, such as Modern European Culture: bit.ly/UPC-MEC. If you have any further questions about module choices, please do contact our admissions tutor, who will be happy to help.

@@moazzamanis5051 I was thinking the same. Were you able to find any answer for that?
Hi Moazzam and @GLITCHESFOR U - sorry for the delay replying to this. We usually expect students to have completed all years of school in their home country. Could you let us know a bit more information so we can advise you? Please email s.stockdale@ucl.ac.uk with the school you are at, the country and the exact qualification you are studying, and we'll get back to you with an answer. Thanks!

Hello, i am a student from south korea. I wan to ask some question about entering UCL. How can i contact you?

What’s the LLB offer rate for UPCH students? Assume I meet all the minimum entry requirements, if not even exceed them during the UPCH, with an LNAT score of 25+, will it still be competitive to receive an offer? Also, if I don’t receive an LLB offer after finishing the UPCH, would other Russel group Uni’s recognize the UPCH as a valid qualification?
Hi Mohaamd, Thanks for your questions. The offer rate last year from UCL Law was 25%. It's an extremely competitive course with around 2500 applications each year for 175 places. We do offer a lot of support though for students who are interested in applying, particularly with LNAT preparation. Have a look at this guidance on our website for further info: www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/sites/languages-international-education/files/Applying-to-UCL-Law-from-UPCH.pdf The UPC is recognised by all Russell Group universities, so you could make applications to them as well. Hope this helps!
