Learning to play an instrument of any kind is in my opinion one of the best things you can do. For me the Guitar is one of if not the best of the lot. I've been playing guitar for around 35 years. I'm not a professional player. I'm a passionate amateur, who would like to share that passion with you. If you can't find what you're looking for, don't understand or you disagree with something I say or show, please use the comments section to let me know. I'd also love to hear how you're progressing. Or just say hello.

Relative minor to key of C..you're welcome😊
@@GeorgeAnthonyCondover yep A minor is the relative minor to the C major chord. Which means they share all the notes of their scales. A minor is the 6 chord in the key of C major. Usages. Try putting it together with Cmaj, Fmaj, and Gmaj to find some familiar chord sequences.
That Guitar sounds beautiful :)
Sure does 😊
Bro 💀💀 didnt know you were speaking english, i skipped through the video watching the parts bl
Sorry you can't understand a northern British accent, but I hope you got what you needed from the video anyway. You can get the entire vocal melody mostly around the B and E strings in the chord changes. Play with a capo on the 7th fret to be in the same key as the original.
@fret-less nothing too be sorry about! It's me, I unironically thought you were speaking a European language i didn't know
Surely that's an Fmaj7 yeah!?
Go a half step up in chord progression for the next chord, to make a brilliant lick! :)
Nice
Hi. Thanks for putting this up. Wee question for you...ive been learning a couple of years now. I really struggled holding onto the pick...always dropping it. I now use my index and middle finger to support it against my thumb as it makes it more stable...is this common and do you think its a bad practice?
Hi thanks for commenting. To be honest I tend to use my fingers more often than a pick I find picks tend to rotate in my grip or like you I drop them. The down side of course is that I wear down the finger nails on my right hand and get blisters so I switch back to the pick for a while. 😄. I also support it with my second finger. I wouldn’t worry too much about technique. The only technique that really matters is the one that works for you. Without hearing or seeing you play it’s not possible to pinpoint where your problem is but I can tell you a lot of new players tend to grip the pick too tightly and try pushing the pick through the strings rather than stoking them with it. Have you tried different thicknesses of picks? A lighter more flexible pick can be useful to get the feel as they’re more forgiving. Difficult to explain so I might put a video together on it. Someone else was asking about strumming tips recently.
@fret-less Thanks. That's good to know that it's just not me that uses a 3 finger grip. I try various thicknesses. I should probably stick to one for continuity. Just sometimes when I play it back if I've plated a tune it just lacks a bit of finesse. Kinda sounds a bit clunky. I'll keep plugging away. Cheers
Nice but for me is more instructive without the flanger fx
Great 🎉Happy New Year my dear friend 🤗🙏
and to you! looking forward to lots more of your drumming :D
@ thank you my friend 😊me too 😁I’ve been busy. Hope you’re doing well
I am curious how a 56 LP pro looks like
Looks wise it’s pretty much a standard les Paul with the exception of having P90 pickups. Nothing particularly fancy just a nice epiphone with a fairly chunky neck.
That is coler than 90 percent of chords used in modern guitar music
I just discovered this myself - as an old man, one of those moments like listening for the first time to Stairway to Heaven, or Paranoid Android - unforgetable. I have no idea who his influences are, but I think he likes muse also? Matt Bellamy is a fan of Rachmaninov I believe, and the music I thought of in reaction to this was first of all Rachmaninovs Prelude in C# minor (Piano), Shostakovichs Polka from the Golden Age (again piano) and in terms of guitar Brittens Nocturn after John Dowland and Vladimir Milkulkas Three Railway Stations on One Road. You're probably aware of these, but a good listen if nothing else. Don't shoot me - just what it reminded me of. This is an amazing piece of work and thanks for breaking it down for us. 🤜🤛
@@Re9sTwitch really powerful stuff. I’m told it’s a baroque style. (I know very little about classical music). He plays more of it in the intros to the tales of jenny and screech which I highly recommend if you haven’t heard them yet. I’ll be sure and have a listen to the pieces and players you mentioned too. I’m always up for listening to something I’ve never heard before. Thank you.
Back a fret it's Eb◇7
Next fret is F◇7
Play the same from 2nd fret (6th string root note)down there you have version of major 7th chords
that aint emaj7 mf
Je n'arrive toujours pas à exécuter cette accord, que c'est compliqué ! 🤔
Hey thats my chord
It’s a cool one for sure 😊

Beautiful
Thanks for the tutorial for this beautiful song by Ren. I can hear string slaps too. Im a musician too but im only just learning guitar. How do i fit the slaps in?
Tha technique for the slaps differs depending on if you are using a pick or your fingers. If using a pick then the slap is done with the side of your hand on the down stroke. If using your fingers it’s done with the thumb as a small tap against the bass strings. If you think of a bar split into 16th beats. Generally we strum down strokes on the quarter and 8th notes and play upstrokes on the 16ths. The slap would replace a down stroke. Hope that helps. Not sure I’ve explained that too well.
@fret-less I understood your explanation fine. It's going to take some practice on coordination for me and sore fingers lol. Thanks for the response and advice x
No worries at all. Keep practicing, it’ll get easier the more you do it. You’ll find the groove and drop into it. 👍
Who can it be now
I am just learning, but it looks like a D# on the R in the photo. Sorry to be a pain, but I love your channel.
Why is the 3rd a G and not an F#?
When playing the first inversion E with the hammer-on, how do you avoid strumming the A string when using a pick? Or is it a matter of always picking the E and the g sharp with two fingers only?
@@E.F.Rietzschel hi, I tend to play with my fingers more than a pick so I haven’t actually tried it. I’ll try playing it with a pick and get back to you in a day or two 👍
OK so I just watched it back and played through it again (long time since I played it). I noticed I hit that open A string a few times during the breakdown but figured out that if I extend my first finger which is barring the high E, B, G and D strings, I can mute the A string with the tip of that finger and still fret the other notes and the hammer on much cleaner. I keep the strums fairly gentle and focused on the higher strings especially on the up strokes. Incidentally, I have since figured out that he plays another voicing of the E chord during the verse. It is muted low E, muted A, 2nd fret on the D (E), 1st fret on the G(G#), open B and 4th fret on the High E (G#). Hope that helps and gives you something new and fun to try.
@ Great, thanks! I’ll play around with that. About muting the A string with the ‘barring’ finger: that will be a challenge, as I am used to avoiding exactly that when playing a partial bar chord. ;-) I’m going to give it a try!
@@E.F.Rietzschel you’re very welcome. Sometimes I think it can be harder keeping unwanted notes quiet than it is to play the notes you do want haha. Glad it helped good luck with it. It’s a great tune and worth the effort.

@ I’m hangin’ my friend. I’m glad you’re doing okay. I’m here for you. Have a great day my friend. 🤗🙏✨💖
This is not Amaj7… E in bass, followed by a B, C, and G. If anything it could be a A-9 or C^7 inversion since there’s no A contextually
Look again sir I’m playing C#,G#,A and E I believe it’s a first inversion as the 4rd (C#) is in the bass.
Thank you very much

@@jonwagner811 completely agree. Fantastic songwriters beautiful melodies. What more do we need? I must do another of theirs soon.
このVoicingは今一 4弦のM7と1弦のルート音の音程が♭9音程になってるので不協和音の響きになるだからこのようにルート音をTOPに持ってくる場合、M7コードではなく、6コードに変換したほうがBetterだと思われます!
Thanks for the explanation. 👍
Is it me or are them the notes to mr sandman? Sound so close
Oh it really does. Great spot that might be a fun tune to learn.
