I've been looking for a home church since ours closed (after the pandemic). I hope to visit this coming Saturday or Sunday.
I hope you do, you won’t be disappointed. I attend The Bridge Portage Park, and it’s terrific!
@@eileenoneill6426I have to get back there. I enjoyed it. I watch online but there’s something about being there
I'll take those earrings!
Jennifer, God has truly blessed you in your singing
Hi Bridge love this community! Probably will come next Sunday!
The Cubs should trade for him. He could hit 40 plus homers in Wrigley.
Amazing message thank you
Love this!!!!
POWERFUL. GOD IS SO GOOD
Can’t wait to visit!
The rabbit hole will take you anywhere on the internet these days…Wonder what made this asshole so humble. Knew him from the late 90’s-08 when we graduated HS and he had small man syndrome and was the stereotypical asshole jock, who stood 5’1” weight a whopping 110lbs senior year. He has a lot to say sorry for.
Wasn’t able to make it this week but this was a phenomenal service. Thank you for sharing His word ❤
I love watching The Bridge services while traveling.
🎉
Maybe he should lay off the weed...cuz he obviously doesn't know how to hit.
He’s done more than you and I will ever do in our life,
this guy: there is uniform consensus that Jesus existed me: ok now apply the same standard to gospel authorship or martyrdom of the apostles
A number of challenges in your presentation. Your students will benefit from knowing the reality of some of the claims you are making. If/when they face someone who is knowledgeable in this areas, it can be a depressing and eye-opening experience. There are no - not one - extra biblical accounts of Christ written during his life or in the immediate future. Not one person who lived during the time of Christ - not even gospel writers - and not a single Roman or Jewish historian - wrote about him. Surpisingly (or not so surprising), no one mentioned the earthquake - and perhaps more telling - no one mentioned the dead who rose to witness about Christ. You'd think this might warrant a mention from someone. Also, you are mischaracterizing dates: Pliny the Younger's letters were 70+ years after Christ. He mentions Christ, NOT due to any first person evidence but only as the person Christians worshipped. Thallus wrote in 115AD (80+ years after the death of Christ). Again, not close to first person. He was writing about stories that were mentioned in the Bible and reporting some of those as potential history. Tacitus wrote at the same time as Thallus. I don't know if you are ignorant of the above or if you are being dishonest. I'm not making an assertion but it is one or the other. However, to reference the Josephus quote is shamefully embarrassing. You should NOT do that to your students. As soon as the study that particular quote they'll realize it showed up after 500AD and where it sits in the text is an obvious after-the-fact addition. I am thankful that the first pastor who discipled me was honest about this quote and warned that it was not a reliable quote about the existence of Christ or of his miracles. Similar to the Shroud of Turin, Christians do themselves a disservice to reference such things. Furthermore, most scholars have a good idea which church father - one known for adding to scripture and other writings - is likely to have concocted this one. As with other figures of antiquity, most historians are willing to take the existence of Jesus as either a single figure or an amalgamation of itinerant rabbis of the time. But comparing the "existence" of Christ to Alexander the Great is fine for making the case that both men may have existed. The difference is this - and it is the only issue that matters. The epistemological next step for Alexander the great is nil... Accepting that he (or someone similar) existed is interesting for the sake of study. Christ, on the other hand, comes with a MUCH higher cost. The case you are hoping to make is that he was born of a virgin, changed water into wine, cast out demons, cursed a tree (whatever that curious and clearly fable-esque story is about), died and rose from the dead. The reason to argue for his existence feels like a setup to make the next, completely unverified and highly unlikely, leap of reason. As a former apologist, one who was offered tuition to Talbot and who taught classes, preached in front of churches, and did research for a number of pastors, the sad reality is that applying the same scrutiny to the Christian claims as we would to any other fantastical super-natural claims will leave the bulk of those who believe holding onto their faith for faith alone. Reason and rationality - honest skepticism - will not get you there.
According to UNICEF about 29 000 children under the age of five die each day mainly from preventable causes. That's 21 dead children every minute. That's 10.6 million a year. That's the equivalent of a holocaust every year. More than 70 percent of these 10.6 million children deaths every year are attributable to six causes 1- diarrhea, 2 - malaria, 3 - neonatal infection, 4 -pneumonia, 5 - preterm delivery and 6 - lack of oxygen at Birth. Science's responses is to give them the things needed to prevent these deaths while religion's responses those are part of God's plan. Really! What kind of plan is that? What kind of God who is all-powerful and all good would not stop that? I'm talking about innocent children who have no free will. They're not freely choosing to die. Why would an all powerful, all loving God allow that to happen?
The lecturer should familiarize himself with the studies of Richard C Miller, Joshua Bowen and David Fizgerald, which are unbiased and objective studies.
This guy does not want to mess with his delusion. And his income is dependent on keeping his delusion.
Brother, this 'build up our team' talk is great. Barnabas is a good model because he was selfless. We need more guys like this. When you started talking about Martin Luther's legacy in Wittenberg...my first thought was Jan Hus and john Wyclif. That's a golden chain of brotherhood. But Melanchton ...ya. He was a Strrrong support guy for Luther. Roland Bainton's biography of Luther titled " Here I Stand" gives short shrift to Melanchton but he stood by Luther when the Pope was out for blood. Loved your sermon and your style. Im subscribing. Bless you brother.
I do watching behind wheels truck driver ❤️
An amazing athlete but an even more amazing young man, an example for our youth. Thank You Jack ❤
Inspiring story of hope in Christ! Isaiah is a miracle gift from God!
You just know 2024 is going to be a huge year for him . Great move moving him over in right field . If everyone can just stay healthy this lineup is ready for the next level . God bless too everyone 🙏
He needs an extension on his contract. He was really good this year and still has room to improve! Keep it up!
Captain Jack
This Sermon was awesome! Thank You Pastor Scott 🙏
Awesome teaching
You wouldn't know it to watch, but the temperature outdoors during this service was 5 below.
Jack, it’s so cool to hear your story! My husband and I are lifelong Pirates fans, and it’s been a joy to watch you play and stand strong for Jesus in the ‘Burgh. We hope you stay a long time. God bless!

Interesting I was praying for my brother last week and his name is Narcyz . I really cried because of his bad behavior towards family so I asked God for help. So thank you for the message on narcissism! God is above all!
Got to hit it
Great sermon given by Denim. So relatable and convicting!
Got to visit
Who is the artist of “I stand with Jesus Christ” (song 2 in worship)
Well said! It's a powerful mind shift that helps us see the meaning of our challenges.

This online service is my salvation each week when I can’t go in person
I love that I can go online for services
Congratulations Jonathan!!!
Every book in the Bible is important
I am investigating the Christian embrace of the term "woke" and Christian racism. As a Christian, which is worse? Disney allowing a black actress to play a white cartoon character or Christians making a supposed historical figure who was non-white...white?
Thank you Jesus 🙏🏼
