Welcome Adventurers! My name is Alex and I create custom LARP safe weapons with a touch of leather work on the side. Charybdis Studio is my little business I started during the pandemic. It is owned and operated solely by me. Join me on my journey of creating awesome things and maybe you will learn some things on the way.
Lol
That's badass.
Lol
Swear I’ve been looking for my soul mate think i found her 😂😂
Hi, I'm from Maceió-AL Brazil, I have a question, what number of sheets do you use to make the blade, I'm trying to do it and I can't get it smooth
I freaking love it
Take my money
This is amazing!!! Your whole setup is aweome! I especially love the gambeson omg! It's so pretty!!!
What foam is that?
Next time put the strapping between the first and second layers. And glue some fabric around the area and it will be way stronger
So that is stab-safe? What things you use on the tip of the core?
Thank you for this, I plan on sewing a lot of stretchy fabric, silky slippery stuff but also leather. 🥲 trying to figure out which sewing machine will give me less of a headache with this as my current cheap machine does neither well.
What machine is this???
Simple: you simply need access to a whole ass workshop lmao
That looks absolutely beautiful, the only thing is that the green kinda looks weird
A wood handle on that would look awesome
Well if you cant keep them, where can we buy them?
*This Horn noise of this Background theme Reminds of the Tripod Roar*
What is that pile in the middle? I’m trying to make a sword of my own for Halloween
Nice!
This is awesome! Where did you get the gambeson and Demi Curias?
The gambeson looks like it could be from Verillas.
I'm only just getting into LARPing and this is one of the first videos I've seen- so unless it's a rule or regulation- there's no way I would classically consider this a dagger.... MAYBE a gladius but that thing is HUGE for a dagger. It's cool and well made and very awesome in any case though.
why not add a core in the cross guard? In my experience sparring with foam weapons the cross guard comes off almost as fast if not faster than the tip wears down. I ask because i see it everywhere, hardly anyone puts anything in the cross guard and it’s a vital part of the weapon that’s left flimsy and breakable
Les meilleurs videos sur le la creation d'epée larp
I hope she's making more videos there amazing I'm new to this channel and love it so much
This is what I was looking for how to make an amazing larp weapon
for best results start with a fully stocked workshop
All you need is the foam and a dremel. Everything else just makes it faster
Cool)
There is so many haters on this video thats sad 😔 girl you look awesome i love that you have my favorite sheld
Have you ever had issues with the strap ripping out?
Whoa I’m glad someone else had the same idea for the tip of a larp sword is that a tube and hot glue? We use that for our larp group called phlarp
Those look so good! Do you have any tips for making a rapier? It'd be my first time, but I already checked out some videos, just couldn't find any about making Rapiers :c
Interesting grinder. What model?
How do you get these templates?
My assumption? Draw them out until they look right. Or find a picture online and print it out
What type of adhesive are you using? Couldn't see what was printed on the can very well
Looked like contact cement. Also, it looked like the hot glue on the pommel was to give the contact cement more to bite onto .
Where can we buy a weapon from you?
What glue are you using to hold your foam together? I find super glue too concrete to Dremel and shape later but hot glue remelts when heated by the spinning Dremel tip
Try contact cement.. i think thats how you call it? Pattex?
"Simple "
These are so fun to make
OMG WHERE IS THE VIDEO FOR THE FLAMEBERGE SWORD THE WAVEY ONE WITH THE PARRY HOOKS
Nice armor 8/10. +2 for weapons
So awesome!!! Looks great! :)
This sword looks really good!
What hardware are you using for laser cutting?
Wow wtf this is amazing
Simple? My man that's not simple that's a work of art
Love your work! Very inspiring and motivating.
These are really cool! Is that a wooden rod or pvc pipe?
This is awesome! Keep it up!!
What thickness of foam did u use?
