VoodooCreek Voodoo Creek is a small craftsman led company situated in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Too often guitars never see the light of day and that is unfortunate because, like valuable oil paintings, they should be enjoyed for their beauty. As guitar collectors and players ourselves, we saw the need to display our collection in an elegant way.
Voodoo Creek was founded on the idea that handmade affordable quality always matters. We use our extensive experience in vintage furniture and musical instrument restoration to design and build our products that exhibit and uniquely complement your collection. Each Voodoo Creek Neptune Stand is one of a kind with a warm broken-in rubbed feel that sets our products apart in the market.

I only use epoxy as a last resort, and this guitar had to have some, although the main splints were glued into position with Titebond Red. Bought this guitar for $50 on Facebook Marketplace and drove out to Wyoming to pick it up. Super nice guy!.

C'mon, there's a stunt guitar in there!!! Nice one.

Great video and great repair...and I've watched tons of 'em. That guitar just got a second life.
@@quad1000 ... thanks indeed!
Outstanding!
@@coeurdecorbeaurecords9452 thanks!
Is there a second part? Thanks
No affraid people like you is what we need. 😊
@@ManMartin ... thanks! .... I'm old enough to have learned by my many mistakes!
Nice guitar. How much was it in total? Thanks.
@@ManMartin ... about $600. Which is reasonable considering the spec of the parts.
Amazing job. 👍
Loved watching this. I do setups and minor repairs on my own guitars, so I'm going to learn a lot here. As interested as I was, I kept starting to nod off to the relaxed narration. You could do lengthy 'fall asleep to...' youtubes.
@@tomgoss6401 .... yeah, I send myself to sleep sometimes!
👏👏👏
Killer guitar, definitely worth saving. Sounds incredible also! Hope it's yours, and not a customers. Great job !
nice result, great restoration. perhaps you could actually show the actions you describe. it would make the video more enjoyable,.
Yes, you can.
Really well done. And you DID get done at fifty dollars. But indeed, a really good job.
lol...thanks.... A 1963 HiLotron pickup alone is $150+. I rekon she's worth $600 even with the repair. Clean ones are around $1250 on Reverb.
@@voodoocreek6219 I promise not to let my own Gretsch become a bag of parts like that one was. No project for you here!
I love those deep dark tones! I don’t this I I r ever heard a Getsch that’s sounded this deep before.

This is straight out black magic, witchcraft! Great job, definitely worth a follow!
@@mrimmortalis ... best comment yet, love it!..... thanks for subscribing!
Impressive resurrection. Only thing left undone (imo) is the build up surrounding the obviously masked silk screened "GRETSCH" logo. Investing a little more time (wet?)sanding and blending would most likely prove worthwhile. As it is, it jumps out at you and screams re-finish. The rest of your fine work deserves better.
@@johna1160 .... the Gretsch logo is actually an original waterslide decal on this model, you're not seeing any masking. Thanks though.
very cool guitar
Great video. I'm jealous... 😠 😊
Amazing work. So satisfying to watch.

Amazing restoration, I love the tone too❤❤❤😊😊😊
Superb ingenuity and craftsmanship that only comes from decades of deep love for your profession. Most would have just resigned that battered and broken old guitar to a destiny as permanent wall art. Its great to see that it now has a new lease on life and can be enjoyed for another 60+ years. Incredible work indeed!
@@timrussell1559 .... thanks indeed!

It would have been more instructive if you had shown the specific actions involved (i.e., cutting, filing, rubing, staining, etc.) and not just verbalize what you did to restore the Gretsch.
@@georgeargon5113 .... that's true. I have sourced a tripod for my phone, now that I've seen that people are actually interested. You'll notice my latest video has more of that. Thanks for the comment. Any other suggestions?

Nice to see a real restoration , good work
That guitar is as old as me, so I can understand the way it was at first. But my question is...could I have some kind of your traitement so I could look as good as I was in my 20's...Pouahaha !!!!
