Thank you. Im making a rebalancing mod right now and i needed to refresh my memory about which spells need to be buffed and which ones should belong in which circle. Yes, im bringing circles from Gothic 1 and 2 back. Im also changing all weapons to require points in their corresponding skills. It always bugged me that there were no requirements for spells and weapons in Risen 3. Its just so weird that you can learn Fire rain and use it immediately after joining the Guardians just a few in-game days after starting the game. When my mod is complete, i will upload it on Nexusmods. Ill put the name of the mod here when its finished in case anyone is interested in trying it.

This is absolutely nuts! Very cool. The only issue I have is that I’d need 8 other players to do raids. The logic seems very sound for the companions. I have made it to level 12 so far. I’m not a fan of paying for them, but I’m still going to give it a go.

After Risen 1 all Piranha Bytes games focused on the wrong things. This is also why they couldnt properly finish these games either. Instead of fleshing out their own systems and design decisions they pivoted towards generic open world nonsense.

Latest community patch (Gothic Universe Patch) fixes the stuttering. Fluid 60 fps everywhere now, with very minor stuttering after loading a game or teleporting to a new area after hours of playing.

I watched this on second monitor on 1.75 speed bc you speak so clearly that it easy to catch everything.

Just let your companion hit the enemy two times and it will attack him, then you can safely chip in with your attacks. When the enemy attacks you, run around your companion to repeat the process. Regarding the weapons, on the hill above the Thunder island harbor, there is a battle axe, which is not much weaker than the Bonegrinder.

Flame and Ice Wave being modded to hit enemies around the target is just incorrect. The spells were intended to work the way they are in vanilla. The character is at the epicenter and the spells hit around him, so have to time them correctly - as shown by the animation of the spells. If it's modded to change epicenter to the targeted enemy and work like Ice Blast then that's pretty much cheating. As for Fog, works as an alternative to slow bubble for setting up aoe, not as great but works. And Meteor and Summon lightning - Lightning is just straight up better. Few enemies are resistant to it unlike Meteor, it has slightly faster cast time, eats less mana and most importantly - doesn't rag-doll enemy bodies all over the place so you don't have to run around and look for them to loot.

That spell reduction hurts me as a notorious mage player very hard. So much fun that could have been with summoning a demon that looks very intimidating with graphic of Arcania

I'm stuck at this point where my last mission was hands off. I just slept till Eli was converted and now balder has no dialog to proceed forwards with getting promoted

I really like the whole Risen series, especially Risen 3. The combat system is the best of all Piranha Bytes games and the Locations are awesome in Risen 3 ❤

That is so cool! I've seen NPC and Player bots used on players personal private servers, but didn't know there was a public one using them! Pretty damn awesome!

Thank you for this. It makes the game a lot more replayable. I am 2/3 or 3/4 through the game and have not focused on magic at all, but kind of saving it for last. The thing is that in general, the shotgun/musket/decent melee with companions is such a powerful combination that makes the game really easy. What you don't get is a good way to deal with swarms of enemies. A good shotgun, melee weapon and large quantities of alcohol will usually do the trick. Otherwise you can always use an occasional scroll/rune/doll. But starting out as a mage is a completely different way to play the game and I was not aware about how your magic stat affects damage and duration.
