Yeah sadly the Asheville and Biltmore communities are suffering from some horrible flooding right now following the hurricane

The one that I booked was the Ice Cave Discovery tour. I believe they also have some other tours that include ice wall climbing if you’re interested in that as well.

Totally agree that there’s so much more to see. I suggest people take this as a starting point and add stops to it. It does a great job of getting you around the entire island in an efficient circle while highlighting a lot of the big natural attractions!

It would really depend on exactly where you’re camping. If it’s truly wild land and not privately owned, I think the rule is you can tent camp for 1 night. How much you want to push that is up to you. If you had a camper van or car, you could only camp in designated camp sites.

There’s a lot of sneaker waves - ones that are randomly and suddenly way bigger than the rest that have swept visitors in who were too close and not paying attention

While it’s a fairly busy area (less likely you’ll encounter bears), it’s still recommended. You should be able to rent some in Banff or Canmore

@@travelwithwes isn't that much( i went around one of the public holidays- I was living and working in ottawa at the time). Definitely feel the chill though, but go for it, shouldn't be as busy at it would be in summer !

@@TheRahsoft If I lived there though in the area it would be where all my free time would be spent but you just always see empty water no boats fishing or people camping ⛺️ hiking no activity with people and I live in a Midwest town with a bad lake really but it’s always packed with boats and people you would have to come in the winter to have it be void of people and boats and jet skis you see what I am saying that’s all.🤔😳😞👌🥰🥰🥰

Not when we went. But I suspect it could vary depending on how rough the seas are. You don’t really get out on the open ocean so maybe that will help, although it is a long time on a boat if you don’t do well in that environment. Hope that helps!
