Every single ribah-based system and evolutionary theory
I look for Allah because I know that he is near
But why does knowledge of him disappear from here

Our prophet received revelation
He taught his companions a whole new sensation
They became leaders of legislation
And those who had understanding, became scholars of administration
In business, law and social matters
Disagreements occurred but it did not leave us in tatters
But when colonizers won the world war they cut up our lands
Made us put up new flags and borders with our own hands
Quran madrasah used to be step 1 for higher alim studies
But we all wanted to be doctors and engineers for the colonizer's money
The western classrooms we all chased
The madrassahs were left disgraced
And now all that was left was step one Quran memorization
It is the last memory of madrasas before colonization
But still people needed fiqh to go about their lives.
With no academia on their side
But I have no academia
Not anymore
My faith is built on foundations of nostalgia
Where is the old core?
