Nice steady camera work, showing the whole band. Kudos.
Brilliant ❤
I love this band
Love child of Adam Ant and Kate Bush.
You are right.
This song so suits them
It doesn't matter where he comes from he is still boring
All gigs in September and October: SOLD OUT!
super show!
These did a cool job on this. They are talented and the singer is animated.
I wonder if Abigail was channeling Kiki's Delivery Service for this concert?! I'm going to choose to believe she was!
seems a little spoiled
stupid.
Sparks are amazing
私にとって好きな歌手に出会うのは十年ぶりで好きな人に出会うより大変!
これから売れる人発見しました😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 lindas , unos bombones...
えぐっ。。。会場の人、気持ち良すぎて意識保ってられた?
Several people that I've gotten into TLDP have told me that no wonder I like them as they sound like Sparks! (I'm 64 and I remember the first time I heard TTABEFTBOU on the radio and taped it!)
Same, 65 here.
@@andygilbert1877 Ditto but a mere bairn at 59
I'm 71. This put a huge smile on my face.
Not tame and boring. Great
I thought this was gonna be a cover of summertime blues by misato watanabe 😭😭😭
Too many other bands cover this song... and better. I'll check out their album anyway, cause I'm sick of dude bands.
All that was need was crocks with socks.
Giving Off Sparks. Gripping Eh? Don't take the Spark Arrestor Off Your Motorbike.
like big big cookies with my SPARKS vinyl records in mint condition. i pray to my SPARKS vinyl slabs every night.
It would be nice for them to actually inform the crowd before the sing it back rehearsals that this is a song by a band called Sparks from 50 years ago & was a huge smash.....long before this audience were even born. It's a decent cover but as a Sparks fan I feel cheated.
Good god man give them a bit of slack. They don't speak Japanese and I'm pretty sure 90% of tge audience won't speak English. Hard enough teaching them a few words 😅
@@alanadams7071 Sorry alanadams, I obviously wasn't paying full attention that the performance was in Tokyo. Sparks have a huge fanbase in Japan though for the last 50 years & Sparks love the country & it's culture. I would hope TLDP would be aware of that having covered 'This Town' from the Kimono My House album. Language apart, the iconic cover picturing the two Geisha girls only, could maybe have just been put in a photoframe on the piano to at least acknowledge Sparks. It's only my opinion but I'm still miffed.
@rsmith7912 How do you know they didn't mention the band? That is a fan's video not an official band one and doesn't cover the full introduction. TLDP don't often do covers on their live shows but when they do they always introduce it as a cover and calling it a "treat". They are also very respectful of other acts, especially those that have inspired their own music like Sparks have.
@@alanadams7071You previously said that by being in Tokyo 90% of the audience won't speak English & that TLDP don't speak Japanese so you contradict yourself when you say they always introduce a cover by saying it's a treat. It really isn't that deep & you seem to just be spoiling for an argument. As I said before my comment was just my opinion so please take it as that. No doubt you will want to have the last word so please go ahead but I've got better things to do so this is my last word on this. Have a nice day.
@rsmith7912 Hey. You're the one who said you feel cheated and miffed. I'm just pointing out that there's no need to be. Not spoiling for an argument at all. But if you want one...
absolute gold
Excellent
Shame about the drummer viva Rebekah
UK drummer from Essex :)
I need to see them cover Queen. I adore Queen and I have fallen head over heels for The Last Dinner Party.
Like them to cover a queen song. Hammer to fall which is Emily Roberts favourite. Early stuff like march of the black queen or killer queen. Now I'm here might be good.
@@niallq8447 I was reading the other day that prior to TLDP Emily had the Brian May role in an all-girl Queen tribute act. She's a classically trained jazz guitarist too... This band is so chock full of immense talent, they're incredible.
@@Fogg1969 I know. She is a good guitarist
@@Fogg1969 they are incredible. Best band of 2024.
@@Fogg1969 they need a good drummer like Rebekah Rayner or dai. Casper is good but not fit for the band. They are happy with him at the moment.
Fantastic!- Thanks for uploading this
Fifty years later people are starting to get it. 😊
i saw Sparks many times, live, in the 70's. still going to Sparks shows at 70 years young. i love cookies as well.
@@steven1822 It’s amazing how they just keep going. Isn’t it? Ron continues to write great material, and Russell has as much energy and charisma as ever.
A Band with something, which can't keep up with the hype. I feel sorry for them. You can't out run bullshite!
What? 🫤
They are really worth the hype. Last dinner party are
You don't like them. They're good.
They not shite. Ok.
@@adefowlerhe is wrong. They worth it
Wonderful, better than the classic original
Matter of opinion but no way is this better than the Sparks original. It would be better if they introduced the song as their version of the 50 yr old Sparks smash to educate their fans as to who they've been influenced by. Otherwise it's just plagiarism.
@@rsmith7912how is it plagiarism if they said it was a cover? Ron and Russell were just at their LA show and showed them nothing but love for covering their song. Don’t know why you’re upset on their behalf and accusing TLDP of plagiarism.
Like it but a bit short. But still good.
Love it
What a refreshing and exciting band. Artists, all.
So cute!! I wish I could be there!!
Damn good effort. Well done
Wow! Ron and Russell will be very proud 🙂
wow, i had heard them being told they were like sparks so its nice to see them have fun with a sparks number without sounding like them...they sounded like 'the last dinner party' doing a sparks song. They have their own sound...this proved it.
True. What do you think of big dog? Good black Sabbath like revamp.
@@niallq8447 just saw your comment theres something wrong with my replies so i only see them when i listen to the songs again..yea big dog is really good live and maybe it will be on their next album...im not too familiar with black sabbath 'i will have to listen to their songs again...thanks for your comment
@@TheBobbymcd it is. Your welcome.
Good cover, they do it like The Banshees version.
This reminds me of queen and love them!
Yeah that's true
@@niallq8447 Queen supported Sparks before they got big. It is no secret that Quuen were heavily influenced by them.
@@grahamnunn8998 Don’t remember that, but saw them supporting Mott the Hoople.
@@andygilbert1877 There are some reports that Queen supporeted the at the marquee in 1972 but I must confess, I cannot find any more dates!
I noticed they have really changed big dog! It was brilliant before but I think these touches have made it even better :)
It was pretty good. Dispute the mixed reaction.
Big dog is quite good. Like the Sabbath quality to it.
War Pigs 👍🏼
@@adefowler arctic monkeys Arabella. Can it closest to it in modern terms.
In fact they are most exciting band since arctic monkeys. So good Aren't they?
That's exactly what I thought when I first heard a TikTok video of that middle section @@adefowler
Wow, go Emily!!
