Helmsman needs lessons on how to trim a boat

Looks like the trim needs to be adjusted but more than that the helmsman needs to make better use of the throttles. There was a lot of porpoising going on and the boat launched off a few of those waves pretty hard. I bet this was a training exercise.

if they were to trim in, could run a lot more stable and a lot faster. they are trimmed all wrong

Jees, all you experts know it all! I would guess that with two helicopters, lifeboat and cameraman that they are simply testing the boat, running her hard. The seas look quite forgiving providing you don't go over 30-40knots; I reckon they are mostly doing at least 50+. The console is quite set back and bet there is some seriously heavy kit on her, most of which is set back. It has six seats to the front. I bet she'd handle differently six well equipped marines (approx 1300Lbs) to the front.

Guess they are trying it at the highest possible speed, but it hurts the boat and crew. I saw the french fire brigade leave a harbor in rough sea's with a big rib, took a massive wave and had to take the boat back for inspection. I guess the better in rough weather would be to have a heavier load in front to stop the boat from pointing up, problem aggravated by a strong wind.

I can assure you THIS is NOT rough sea's. Wind with tide & a little bumpy NOT ROUGH. Try wind against tide at the same point THAT would be rough.

In the calm tourist area of south Maui... it's alot rougher than that flat stuff, 7 out of ten days... most afternoons. Not impressed, either. You guys are right about the driving, too.

Oh my.. I'm pretty sure the driver is aware that there's a guy hanging onto his car, and even if it causes some minuscule scratches: it's a sports car, it's made to be driven fast and have fun with, and fun is clearly what these guys are having.
