Visit the Storm King Art Center
The Storm King Art Center is a 500 acre sculpture garden located in Cornwall NY. My walk through the park was over 4.5 miles, so if you would like to visit and are not ready or able to walk, be comforted to know that there are bike rentals and well as shuttles that will help you get around.
The sculptures are extraordinary and range from 3 feet tall to over 50 feet in height. Despite the allure of the artwork, you'll certainly be excused if you find yourself staring out at the surrounding hillsides. The area is magnificent, and if you're lucky enough to visit during prime leaf color season you'll be all the more rewarded.
I certainly recommend a visit. Admission is $23 and tickets can be purchased at stormking.org/visit/

Cider, Wings, and so much more at the Dr. Davies Farm, Congers, NY
มุมมอง 121ปีที่แล้ว
I went in search of the Red Barn Cidery, and found they are set up at nexus of all things scrumptious at 306 Rt. 304 in Congers, NY. The Dr. Davies Farm is more than a farm, it's a meeting place, home to food truck fanatics, source of beer and cider, and yes, a farmstand too that provides apple picking as well. Bring your empty stomach and have a great time. Pizza, Fries, Wings, Cider, Beer, Pr...
The natural beauty of Constitution Marsh
มุมมอง 5ปีที่แล้ว
Constitution Marsh is such a unique and peaceful place that I decided not to add any audio to this video. While my footsteps to provide some intrusion (as does a train), you can still hear the rustling of the reeds as the wind blows through them. There is no parking at Constitution Marsh, so the best way to get there is by Uber. If you want to drive to the Marsh, you'll have to park at the Bosc...
Hike to CCC Ruins and Pine Meadow Lake
มุมมอง 46ปีที่แล้ว
This hike in Harriman State Park is 7 miles in total and follows the red trail east until it intersects with a white trail at the eastern edge of Pine Meadow Lake. At that point I turned back. The easy way back to the visitor’s center would be to simply walk the red trail back, but after retracing the path back about a mile I decided to go over Diamond and Halfway Mountains on the yellow and or...
The Rockefeller State Park Preserve: Swan Lake Forests and Fields area
มุมมอง 55ปีที่แล้ว
The Rockefeller Family has donated almost 1800 acres to the state of New York for the purpose of creating the Rockefeller State Park Preserve. Once the realm of the super-rich family, now it is free to the public to enjoy (though parking costs $6). The park contains four areas: The Swan Lake/Farm fields and Forests area, The Buttermilk Hill Area, The Pocantico River/Eagle Hill/13 bridges area, ...
5.6 mile hike at Harriman State Park
มุมมอง 129ปีที่แล้ว
This hike, starting and ending at the Reeves Meadow Visitors Center on Seven Lakes Drive, follows the red, blue, and orange trails. It offers a little bit of everything: a pleasant woodland stroll, rigorous climbs and descents, expansive views, and beautiful water courses from delicate quiet streams to a roaring and roiling river. I hope you'll enjoy the video and check out the trail. Music: al...

Pretty cool. Try and do some research on it. Maybe ask a park ranger?

Thanks for the suggestion!! I should get a chance to ask a park employee, if not a ranger, tomorrow.

The building is an pump house according to an article on NJHiking.com. It was to provide water to a series of cabins, but the cabins were never built. Thanks for watching!!!

Why did they mess up the bun like that? Why dont they just make the drink with scotch? Is this a bad bar that capitalizes on tourists and wannabe influencers?

The bun is not messed up; the restaurant logo is “branded” onto the bun
