Organized by 3 Feet for Pete, Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition, Regional Transit Center, and Centennial Subaru Video is a bit shakey for some reason. I think this particular kit is too loose for the magnetic chest mount.

Chill, Post Sickness Recovery Ride and Testing the Internal Cable Routing Modification on the Slate
มุมมอง 252 หลายเดือนก่อน
While stuck at home sick, I took the down time as an opportunity to modify my bike to be internally cable routed. With the stickness fading, and the bike put back together, I went for an easy chill ride to loosen up the legs and test out the bike. Also, tell me what you think about this camera angle if you want.
Cannondale Slate Internal Cable Routing Modification

Quarantined for three days with Covid, I decided to see if I could internally route the brake cables on my 2017 Cannondale Slate. With a little modification to the lowerer steerer tube, I was successful.
A Lefty on a Lefty on Lefty Day

Happy National Lefty-handers Day. Join me in celebration of this momentous day with a ride descending into downtown, through the arts district, then back up and out heading west up Alta, hitting the Bonanza trail, then going north up Torrey Pines. As usual, 45 minutes in, HR skyrocketed to 215 and stayed in Z5 the rest of the ride, despite only putting out Z1/2 power. 📈 GFR rating™: 498 points ...

Nice vid! How is bile commute in this metro area who ranks amid the worst for pedestrian and bike fatalities? Are shared bus+bike lanes a good safety feature?
When is the next ride
@@michaelgreenwood2844 the ride to remember is annual. The next quarterly ride will be Dec 21 at centennial Subaru
@@popejbryant thanks I’ll definitely be there
at 13:52 you got me passing ya with my dog in the doggy backpack. Thanks 😉
@@702Trader_man_w_no_land if you want, and know how to transfer a 2gb file, I can send you the 1440p original
You need a better camera, like an action cam… a gopro or a dji osmo action…. And no, it doesn’t have to be the latest, most will do just fine
Loving the bars. What's their style called?
@@definitelynotpalpatine9634 they are coefficient AR bars. The downward and back sweep on the tops help keep my elbows tucked in when riding on the tops.
Fantastically flat! I love that I don't have to deal with cars for most of my own commute, but gosh, the hills I deal with can spoil the mood some days.
@@Kattbirb Vegas is like a bowl. In the center it's pretty flat but as you head out to the outer edges it gets pretty hilly. Over 10% in some areas.
We are so lucky to have good infrastructures in france, it is a real pleasure to ride in the city, day or night
If people were rational they'd be scared of dying in traffic instead of being scared of people with a different skin color.
The wash trails are ideal, but literally nobody uses them other than the homeless . They're typically so filthy and when night falls on my rides, they become dangerous. I've ridden across town into the wetlands using the wash trails so I have to use my night light and its gotten homeless aggravated at me, but I cannot see without it. It's not my fault it's pitch dark and their entire livelihood is spread out on the trail. WTF. Cycling in Vegas has forced me to ride into the night because of the unbearable heat during the day and work hours do not correlate, which means I'm constantly in some awkward-seedy situation riding in the evenings. I feel like I'm trying too hard to enjoy cycling here.
@@artiebucco9660 I used work nights and would take the wash trail between Craig ranch Park and LVB. The homeless are typically pretty peaceful but have seen some crazy stuff lol. They've also started shutting down some of the pedestrian bridges due to the homeless as well. But with a little gorilla tactics they're easy to open back up. I know the section of trail you're taking about that's completely dark. It's a little further south and the homeless knock out the overhead lights every time they fix them. I don't know where you're coming from but I've started sticking mostly to the north and west sides of the city on my non-commute rides. There are a few fun and safe ways to get to the West side of the 215 trail. Lone mountain, gowen, and Ulta are pretty quiet and peaceful. Also the area north of 215 around aviary has some pretty friendly roads as well. But the worst is the heat. It's funny, there's a guy on here, brianstorming, who inspired me to post some of my rides. He's labeled some of his videos as being hot at 90°. For us that's a cool spring lol.
America's designer really likes asphalt it seems
God, that's austere
Not a single bike lane?
The bus lanes are "dual use" bus/bike, but yeah this is the poor part of town. Not a lot of infrastructure.
@@popejbryant yep because nothing goes together quite like 40,000LB mounds of steel and bikes lmfao.
And not one hill was climbed that day 😂
Lol
You have some serious stones being a cyclist in this city. Stay safe out there
ride on :)
love your vids
Liked your design- not a huge fan of the Civics current design language- esp the added on junk-
Awsome video the soundtrack is really good always love a good acoustic guitar
Thanks man. Gotta love TH-cam royalty free music lol
thats a nice drive
Indeed it was a fun vacation and pleasant drive.
Looks pretty good! I really like your design for it, looks way better than what they're going to do lol.
I appreciate the kind words
Love the artwork and your interpretive design of what the next CRX could look like. Well said and talked about in your video.
