My band in high school got to open for these guys in 1996 in Jacksonville, FL for our first show. None of us were even old enough to drive yet so our moms had to drive us. Just found the flyer and had to look the band back up. Thanks for posting!
95! A great yearI was taken to a Motorhead show by a guy who worked out front of the TBird where i hadFriday night & was stoked to have Atomic Boy play & perform so good I wont forget it I still love to listen & always will glad to know Denny a legend IMO auch a gr eat punk voice for great bands I will always like evwn older & retired now still Punk & Proud! Justin Bolker Thanks for posting this I saw Atomic Boy a few times or more plaing the Fri I booked and Promoted at TBird RIP but wished I saw US CRUSH! too. This was at Thw Troubador too. I met a cool chick that lived in someplace near LA in LA County that new the owners of The Troubador in BaJa surfing and dropping off a truck with a friend . Had to be done thing. She was in Culver City (Angie I think) She said she could get in there free whenever even. Wish I knew back then Denny started US Crush! i did not see or talk to him much just booking Atomic Boy and ocasionally walking out to surf River Jeties the border of NB & HB when he was outside of his place. I WAS ACROSS highway 1 from near there It got good waves for a while when they dreggged the river with a big pipe they moved north slowly.Big Freight trane lefts across the river from well before it to the 2nd tower in HB a few time. It did not stay it washed away I think. You were in US BOMBS too If I remember I do not drink anymore really. I DID NOT QUIT IT JUST GOT OLD FOR ME I DONT WANT TO BE CAUGHT DRIVING BUTcommiefornia does not care I ot one fora prescription for pain that did not say dont drive etc.. a lowest dose slow release. Busted for being honest and saying I took it the night before. Sad thing is I could take it and not even know I did it just took some pain away maybe. Now with a cleaner burning engine in my prerunner 4wd I cant get it to the dirt from the concrete jungle hOPE THIS CHANGES SOON i AM PISSED THE THOUGHT OF TAKING MYSELF OUT . DRIVING GREAT FOR 37 YEARS CLEANED UP MY RECORD BEFORE THIS . tAPPED A TRUCK AVOIDING A WORSE ACCIDENT HAD FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE AND EVERYBODY WAS NOT HURT UNTIL LATER. ya righttHINGS CAN Cange full circledoing everything you aretaught is right!Not the only thing I have been punishe d for bieng mellow and abiding the law .!

Atomic Boy (Denny ) Hi How Are You I am the guy who had Fri night at T Bird and lived accross PCH from river Jetties from you a lon ng time ago. Not there anymore and you probably are not either. I still like Atomic Boys music and thank you and Atomic Boy for the great music you did for me and Dano playing our night. They shut Tbird down and will not allow another nightclub there! Kind of a Punk claim to fame but? That real estate is some very $$$ stuff to do that. One cool thing happened was Ech and Birch productions went to work with Alton who had Sundays there and got a Fri at Empire Ballroom where Disco 2000 went of ob Thurs nights. He had Sublime play and I saw them 5 feet away with Brad singing RIP Brad You are a Great performer with great music with Atomic Boy! Hope you are well and Happy! I have had some hardships for things I did not do CA is called Commiefornia for a reason that can be true in cases. I am getting old but still Punk and still like hearing Atomic Boy for sure. Others some too like Burning Groove One Hit Wonder Gold Finger (their first OC show on my Fri. LOL got there booking from a blind date with a porn star. It was not all that though I did not get down with her but it was cool getting Goldfingers first OC show for a price I am surprised of. GREAT SEEING aTOMIC bOY ON YT I want fo buy another CD I think I have worn out tthe demo I had. write back if you can get me a copy or where to get it.

t the end make a right and into a lage dance room with Tony Largo rom Mars FM. Then upstairs a stage with backstage and restrooms with 3-4good Punk bands playingand a bar and back room with pool table too. I DID clothing parties put them on my fliers ! They did fliers & promotion and got goodeprices with some great bands they gave clothes to promote too. PLUS GAVE ME SOME OF THE BEST STUFF i EVER HAD TO WEAR, lIAR , tsa, pHEALONY AND MORE. HAD BANDS LIKE mANIC hISPANIC oNE hIT wONDER gOLD fINGERS 1ST oc SHOW jOY rIDE WITH rip sTEVE sOTO ALSO STARTED aGENT oRANGE A gREAT bAND i MET SOME OF ONE DAY AT A GREAT OLD STYLE dEEP LEFT HAND KIDNET POOL i AKAted a lot cLLED WHAT BETTER A NAME FOR THAT? the orange bowl! Good times a Great Sound Man & could come through with everyhing I promised to when I booked the bands with a great crowd of beach locals from promoting most near the beach in HB and Zooport my local and where the Yhunder Bird was On Via Lido Isle. The City councel battled our great lawyer to shut us down and did that for good. Ech & Birch Productions joined Alton who had sun Night there at the end and one night I Booked one of my faves Burnin Groove that showed up just a little kind of late . THEY SAW ME AND SAID OH iTSYOU THE GOOD PROMOTER WE DID NOT KONOW dUe to me bring at Empire that night. They Played Great like always & opened for SUBLIME with Brad that sang 5 feet from me We gave wach other the Nod like those of us Local Surfers do. Good Memoriies & music and fun! Sure a ;otof time on the phone booking shows and making fliers etc,, ps=assing them out etc.. but ? happy and proud we did it and did well~~~! GETTING PLDER NOW and did well at my career installing and repairing etc elevators& escalators and retired but still Punk & Proudit is not a bad thing, Happy to have had Atomic Boy play They were GREAT and ehere music ALWAYS WILL BE ! + .451+
