Self care is therapy for the low self esteem. Med spa procedures are beauty care but the intent of self care is to support growth and mental peace not superficial confidence that literally fades and requires maintenance. I definitely agree that the overconsumption on “self-care” is a coping mechanism for for some deep internal issues. I’m too cheap for selfcare😅 Other than a bikini wax every two months and a facial a couple times a year, my skin care is Cerave face wash and lotion if I remember. I’m also a firm believer of nutrition from food for skincare.
