Pope Francis has not been silent about the war in Ukraine. He has condemned this war and called for stopping it immediately. He has attempted a peace mission. Yet, it is broadly expected that the Pope of Rome should be acting first and foremost as the spiritual leader and teacher. Regrettably, I have to express my opinion that - Pope Francis, as the spiritual leader and teacher, has never publicly expressed his views about the Moscow Patriarchate's attempts to provide religious inspiration and justification not only for the war in Ukraine, but for the Russian authorities' nationalistic aggressive ideas of "spiritual" supremacy of Russia and its "holy" role in the modern world as a "defender" of Christianity and "traditional" values, "Russian world", and so on. - Pope Francis, as the spiritual leader and teacher, has never publicly offered his vision on the spiritual position of the Moscow’s Patriarch blessing a murderous war, elevating it to the status of a crusade and preaching presumed forgiveness of personal sins of all the Russian soldiers involved in this war. - Pope Francis, as the spiritual leader and teacher, has never publicly offered a spiritual teaching on the incompatibility of Christianity and nationalism as it specifically applies to the war in Ukraine and current nationalistic tendencies in the world. My belief is that it is vitally essential. From this perspective, it is hard to appreciate and accept the lack of Pope Francis' spiritual reaction to such a challenge and its replacement by a public stance regarding political aspects, in which the Pope Francis’ competence looks doubtful. This "Cardinal" is so bitter against Russia he did not sound very Christian when talking against them, he sounded more like a politician than a churchman. Father Mykola you should be asking for the conversion of Russia just like Our Lady asked, then Ukraine and the rest of the World will have a period of peace.

at 44 the youngest and the cardinal will be eligible to vote in any conclave for the next 36 years. That means he can still vote up to 2060. Can you believe that. There could be 2-3 conclaves in that time and indeed the Church will see so many changes in the world in that time. Putin, Xi, Macron, Trump will all be dead or out of power in the next 36 years for sure. So this cardinal will have big responsibilities and I think he will be moved from Melbourne for sure to another senior role within the next 36 years. Bravo Eminence.

Jesus was also harsh with sinner, "if you don't convert you will die in your sins..., he came to remove us from our sins not to applease us we are in sins... who am I... distraction

I think he should have studied the document first instead of just hastly declaring it..., there is something wrong there, something serious needs careful studies... it is suspicious !!!

It's congrats movement to have situations to elect our Bishop cardinal etc. But universe is renew ing to Abrahamic religious connectivity, but for critical stage of war condition, it maybe blooming but at the end crucify Christians would be end card, let's be honest & stable with Christ and Mary.
