Nicely done & well explained
Thanks. A bit painful as I struggle with English and I was not that good at picking at that time, but I hope this helps some new pickers anyway.
@@yom73 your English is absolutely fine & as a relatively new picker it helped me so thank you again
So was wie Sie sollte man verklagen!
Abus gotta be one of the worst companies to make locks, like who the heck make those cylinders that any of them can be picked in few minutes...never made good product but take money
Hello) What do you think about TOKOZ 400 Pro Hard ? Have you tried to open it with a lock pick?
Hi, It looks to be a very good lock. I didn’t have the opportunity to pick one but my friend Yabende did. You may want to check his channel. In any case, picking is a fairly low threat if burglars want to break in. They will more likely try to snap / drill the lock. In that regards, the Tokoz seems fairly secure.

Hi) What kind of tensioner you use...? Need to try. Excellent pick.
Thanks. It is a tension wrench i got in a tensioner set from Banggood. I can’t find it but found a similar one on AliExpress. Try searching for « 14pcs Locksmith Tools Set Tension Wrench Push Rod Rotating Rod Tools Locksmith Supply »
@@yom73 Thank you! I have one like your. May be it will be better than my tensioner tool. Good luck 👍👍🔓
It is not fantastic but it can offers some options on very specific locks. It’s also good to have a few donors when you need to make a special tensioner. In any case, you never have enough tensioners. 😉
@@yom73 Ohh...! Very true..! I know this from practice))) I tried to use your method and pressure tool. I happened to have one like this. Not bad. Of course, I’m more accustomed to using my pressure tool, but (!) your option is absolutely suitable. The truth is that it slightly blocks access to the 1st or 5th pin, but it’s not critical. Thank you.
@@Tipa-fw2rz FYI, I believe that I did sharpen the edge to bite into the center pin as low as possible.
@yom73 What do you say is the most secure lock at the moment in terms of overall security like picking, force, etc.
I would say any high security lock hidden behind a reinforced handle with an anti-drill steel plate will be more effective than the very best lock exposed. This said, the Abloy Protect 2 is one of the most challenging lock to pick (I have one but didn’t pick it yet) but I cannot comment on other attacks. Since it is the top of the line at Abloy, I assume it should be well above average. I also heard that the Abus Bravus 4000 is one of the toughest lock against brute force attacks. It is clearly not the most pick resistant but lock picking is not a serious threat IRL.
Thank you for your fast reply. What would you say wich lock is more secure? The Abus Bravus MX 3500 or the Abus Bravus 4000?
@@Hazaa187 The design looks very similar. In addition to the main pin stack, the 4000 seems to have side pins when the 3500MX has a magnetic element. The magnetic element can be extremely tricky if you don’t know it is there but becomes trivial when you are aware (ie by seeing the key). On the other hand the side pins will not require a special tool and will be defeated by an experienced picker. That said, I would probably prefer having more pins to pick upfront than relying only on the magnetic system to prevent the lock from rotating. I don’t know its resistance but once the main stack is picked, you can can apply some serious force on this tiny part. Personally I would fit the 4000 on my door, but again, behind a reinforced handle.
Big tension you have to free more room
😂😂 nice. This highlights why good bitting is so important! Glad I found your channel btw!
good lock anyway i have it .^^abus is nice
Sure. They do very good locks. This one is not the most difficult to pick if you know the model and come prepared, otherwise it is a good all around performer and would not hesitate to fit it on my door.
Seems like a good lock
It is and it also seems very resistant to brute force attacks (snapping, drilling, pulling, etc).

Видимо не существует в мире замков, которых нельзя вскрыть.
Now i know, how much it is worth. I am glad, i did not spend that lot of money for it.
It is still an excellent all-around lock. Picking is not really a threat in real life and even in that regard, it offers very good resistance. I have been able to pick it quickly but remember that I did practice on this specific lock, I had all the tools at hand and did know exactly what to expect. It is very unlikely that a burglar will have a pick with a perfectly sized magnet in his toolbox. Most of the time, they will simply try to snap the lock, break the door, or find another way to enter. And this locks comes with a ton of protections against brute for attacks. Personally, this is a lock that I would not hesitate to use on my front door.
@@yom73 Thanks for the detailed reply, it was quite helpful! Do you happen to know how it compares to the Mul-T-Lock MTL800?
@@kuratovsky In terms of picking resistance, the MTL800 is much harder. On the Abus, each protection is very well isolated from the others so you can pick the main stack (not very hard), then take care of the magnetic system (you just need the right tool, and finally deal with the Abus ball bearing system. On the MTL, you have to deal with pin-in-pins + interactive element + springless sliders facing the pin stack, all at the same time. It is definitely a hard lock to pick.
@@yom73 thank you for this, just purchased this for my home
@@yom73 This were exactly my thoughts watching this: The weakness results in the possibility to overcome the mechanics one after the other. What was your experience here: How much effort did it take you to build your toolings - is this something a well-prepared burglar would have at hand as default toolings (because many locks use a similar tech these days, maybe), or does it took you a while to build them perfectly matched to THIS lock?

Has to be my favorite lock as far as the internal mechanism :)
True, the rotors are very cool. And it is also a fun lock to pick. You know where you are and what needs to be done, but you need to be very accurate or you drop everything.
Quick pick my friend 👍

Fantastically well picked, with the right tool & tension it’s incredible just how easy they are to open up. Have a great week. I hope to see more video’s from you soon. 👍
