CSM - Finishing Mock Rib and doing Pre Heel of the sock

Once I finish the length that I need for the Mock Rib of my sock I then need to put my needles back in to do the pre heel and finish the rest of my sock. This short video shows how I put the needles back in the slots of the cylinder and set up the stitches for the pre heel.

This video shows how I knit a Mock Rib Hung Hem for a sock on my Sock Machine. For this sock I have used a 64 cylinder and a tension of 7.5 on my machine which is an New Zealand Auto Knitter (NZAK) Sock machine.

The way I knit the toe on my sock machine is the same as the heel except for the last couple of rows. This video shows what I do to finish knitting the toe and set up my machine for the next sock.

How I do heels on my circular sock machine The weights on the ends of my folks are large sinkers. I like doing what they call a deep heel which means I have 5 extra needles in work past the centre marker on the cylinder.
Fringe Twisting using the Ashford Fringe Twister

This is how I twist the fringe on my hand woven scarves and shawls. I hold my woven scarf/shawl in place using a couple of heavy books on a mat so I can slide the mat across the table as I work on the fringe.
