I was set on getting the pro version but after seeing your upgrade video I think I’m just going to go with this version. Also is the top roof rack removable?
The roof rack is removable
I love the vintage yellow lights
FMS did a great job with this release. I'm loving every battery pack through it
So i got a Question for the next sunday shop talk. Will there be a next rc car, and what would it be? And what would it be if money does not matter?
🎉🎉
Good video John, my type of music as well man. Looked pretty cold out that day thanks for sharing
It was actually about 45 that day. The other video at that park was in the 20s.
Awesome short! Looks great John the figures are all very kool if you ask me was that jay from jay and silent bob on the far right ? 🤣
It is. My best friend has Silent Bob as he is the Silent Bob to my Jay🎉❤
@ that’s so sweet 😄
Snootchy bootchies!@@jaymyers9899
Licensplate got stolen?
@TheBurned-outCrawler haven't ordered a pair from the RC plate shop yet. Thinking of getting something cheeky and fun made.
@JohnsMiniMechanics driving around like this is awsking for a Police stop 😜
Truck looks great on the trail.
Thank you!
Great little rip on the trail.
Man id love riding the snow, does the truck do donuts? Like the LC80!
This truck does not. The pro can with its 2/4wd setup. My entire area is ice under the snow right now, so I was able to have some fun.
FMS roll out!
Great video brother! Rc has been my mental health medicine for 20yrs, 2hrs a day was my prescription. But after my career change in 2021 it is much less now!
@@gerrysoldguyreview sounds like my kind of prescription. Hoping to get 12-15 miles a week of hiking and mountain bike trails this year if I can.
I got my gimble just for the feature of being able to do low down shots. That's why I spent the extra money. best investment I have made other than my new phone. Which is way more money than most people want to spend. But before I got my Gimble my videos were so shaky, until I got that gimbal, I still use the gimble every day. It is absolutely the best, but it is also 200. $, you can get it without the AI sensor for $179. Which is what I paid for mine on sale with everything when I got it. But honestly, you don't need the AI sensor unless you want it to track your face. But since you're on camera, when you make your videos, you might want that feature.
I am highly considering the one you have, or the newer m7 hohem along with the phone. But I can wait on those as I'm not up for an upgrade. So gonna give the GravGrip and a better stick a try.
@JohnsMiniMechanics yeah, I paid $1300 for the S24 ultra. I figure, since US cellular, has been getting our money for 15 years. What's the difference. They can have a little more over the next couple years. It's well worth it. Especially if you can get it when you're eligible for an update or upgrade from your phone provider. I unfortunately was not eligible for another one, so, yeah. Still worth it. Lol
I'm looking at the s25 ultra right now. @@ezboyrc553
Lovely sunday shop talk i realy like them. Thanks for the shout out its my verry first 💪. Im form the Netherlands😇 @Woodsunknown i subt!
@TheBurned-outCrawler thank you and you're greatly welcome🤗 Glad to have the Netherlands represented here on my channel.
I am grooot
Keep up the good work brother the hobby is great to help with anxiety fr💯
@@DubVredneck thank you! Hope you enjoyed my "crawler canyon" inspired intro this week. 🤪🤣😉
@ yep sure did
Salut my friend super car subscribe subscribe ❤❤❤🎉😊
Right on John, another good shop talk , the hobby helps with my mental health too buddy . I’ve been thinking about a gimbal for a while but haven’t been sure about it, I would want it down low and I’m glad you touched on that . I attach my homemade selfie stick right to my controller with duct tape so I can drive with both hands , works good enough for me. Might try to get some footage today if I get a chance, see you on the next one 🫡
Same. With the price of them, meh. I'm glad this gimbal was essentially free. That GravGrip v2 looks to be the goat for action cameras though. Did some research after the video and have decided on the action 5 pro from DJI. Hohem offers an action camera stabilizer I might check out and review for the channel as well.
Liking the shop talks. I dig the bobble head groot in the LC80. Take care.
I was digging your Daryl Dixon Funko and felt the need to add a Funko to mine.
@ Well the bobble head is a nice touch. 😎
Thanks for the shoutout John, you have yourself a great little channel.
Thank you for the kind words! I try to let everyone know that they matter. -"all across time and space, I've never met anyone that wasn't important"
Nice run footage. Well done.
Thank you! Everything is content, right? Lol
@@JohnsMiniMechanics Its all content
Today sunday shop talk?
I'm on EST. Should be recording here in an hour or so, but yes, Sunday Shop Talk is on the way!
@@JohnsMiniMechanics @my place its 13:08 when im done working ill check it out!
Truck looks great on the trail.
Thank you!
Liked and subscribed, big thumbs up on the Voltron had all the lions constantly forming Voltron and destroying the hordes of gijoe and ninja turtles villains as a kid. For me love the 3d printed stuff for accessories but if its chassis related it has to be metal for me. I live up in the cold and its no fun watching plastic snap, i know plastic has flex but metal has strength.
I've got a handful of hobbies and interests that can use a 3d printer, so it's getting a big amount of use. As for crash items and chassis parts, agreed. Some things are ok. But the chassis itself needs to be metal. I'm just outside Detroit, so it does get a bit on the chilly side at times.
@JohnsMiniMechanics I'm north of you in New Brunswick. Lots of snow and it's not bad for cold, some are worse then others in winter.
Nice slow scale trail video John thanks for sharing it, enjoying watching, behind on catching up on everyone's content lol!
Thank you! Yeah, I get that. I try to watch everyone's uploads that I follow that have 5k or less subs. It can get daunting at times. Again, thank you for all of your support and keeping up on the HG videos. Not sure if I'm gonna get one, but learning something new is always useful. I'm sure I can apply something from those videos
How do you get the light to work on this setup. I put a fusion in but the light controller isn’t working with the flysky gt5
I added an aftermarket light controller. Had to bypass the factory light controller completely. I go over that In the second video.
Awesome trail for a drive, some nice sunshine, a nice Toyota, good job 👍 👍 the GoPro works awesome
Thanks! Hopefully there's some scratch left over for a gimble this month. The bouncing from my step is painful for me to watch lol. But, I'll get there. Thanks again!
Such a nice car👌 need one in my life
Thanks! These are really fun and it honestly keeps up with the abuse I put it through. Thanks for stopping by and checking the video out!
Oh danggggg
Injust orderd the camperbed for the unimog and some bits and peaces ad fair RC... Chinees new year will test my patience 😅
There ya go! ,it ain’t that hard just get the camera down low and get some practice nice job John
Thank you! Don't have a proper selfie stick for the gopro, but I was able to get lower this time.
@ I made one out of an old extendable aluminum snow brush handle and duct tape works mint
@@JohnsMiniMechanicsi think you just need a gimble for the phone and its long enough to control while filming(not hurt your back). Then turn on the follow object on the gimble…. You can even use the cinematic shot on the phone to get a stunning clip.
@@remyKhuong currently saving up for a hohem m6/m7. Plan to shoot rally videos with a carisma m48s on bike trails this summer
I would love to ride in the snow
I subt! Nice vids👌
@TheBurned-outCrawler just subbed to ya man that trx4m can get down bro 🤘💯
@DubVredneck thank you so much!
Man Voltron!!!! Been forever hearing that lol! Finally got the time to sit and watch. Ive not had much luck with 3D printed stuff man if its something that gets minimal abuse it'll beak unless its some kind of reinforced part in some way. Good video man, Ive been looking st a gopro man they are just so expensive lol!
Love me some Voltron. Agreed on 3d parts. But, I like testing things to their limits and I'm getting a replacement pair for free. As for the GoPro, I scored it at a local video game resale store called disc replay. I had store credit and got it used. Was only $130 with two batteries. Traded in a few rare Blu-ray movies to get it lol.
@JohnsMiniMechanics nice score!!!!
Hey John all good buddy glad I could help! I know I got a lot of gratification from my first few comments and never thought I would ever make so many friends on here . I’m not here for subscribers or views but I’m enjoying sharing and connecting with us rc good guys! I get lots of nice comments and more views than I could imagine I would ever get! I’ve got almost 250 subscribers now and it’s crazy 😅
@@jaymyers9899 im the same way rc bro im just behind ya a bit at 219 subs aince june I never thunk id get over 20 lol btw goin ta go sub to ur channel now
Hey Mike, I saw Gerry's video. 🤣 What GoPro do you have? You should be able to make the front screen be full size of what the rear shows. I loved Voltron as a kid. I had all the Lions so you could use their tails and connect them to make the big robot. Ill probably be back with more comments. Im only 5 minutes in.
If it was robots and ported from Japan by an American toy company, I was locked in as a kid! Robotech/Macross was my favorite. I'm using GoPro hero 9. I haven't really messed around with it much yet. But I will give it a look now. Had to give Gerry and ezboy some guff. Lol that's what we're here for, right?
@ That’s correct. Guff is the way.
Lol ur a john notta mike btw fyi just so ya know 😂

@@JohnsMiniMechanics good deal cuz i never know what im in flr when i tune in keep me on my toes 👊😎
That thing is a beast, drives well like a hummer should 👍👍😀 nice rig
Thank you so much! It's taken a bit to get it running like it should. But totally worth it. Now I just got a figure out how do add music to my videos.
Thanks for sharing friend 👍
Wonderful 😊
Nice. Once i pick one up, I'll be coming back to learn from your expertise.
Oh man i see lots video of this rig so much, i think im gonna got 1 after Tet Holiday 😂❤
It's a great rig. Having lots of fun with it.
Nice ripping around
Thanks for getting me motivated to make some running videos finally. I appreciate it😂
@ we all need a little kick in the rear sometimes I’ve gotten them from a few guys on here it’s all good , happy rippin
What a little beast.
The Hummer looks great. The tech issues are not inspiring though. It’s a matter of opinion obviously but throwing too much functionality in an RC has its drawbacks. I also think most of the small scale FMS stuff hate water. I could be wrong. Thanks for the video. Love the look.
This one is promoted as waterproof. But, submarining it will cause issues. Like I have countless times. Definitely into the more simple of my rigs. The small LC80 has a 370 motor on the stock 180 size ESC, so thats my bad.
I actually want this truck. I should have asked my sponsor to send it. I don't know if I can get it or not. I love the yellow one but most. You could probably reach in there and help the servo shift the rest of the way.
There isn't reaching in anywhere to assist the servo. Shift servo is under the scale engine assembly, attached to the 370motor. I may have a rock or some debris stuck in there. I submerged it in 18" of water and drive it through questionable terrain. Still haven't really cleaned it.
I got a sponsor from them months back and have yet to get a reply back from my sponsor. Maybe because I didn't have enough videos up
It's a great trail rig and when you want something in between. But I lifted it and added 1.9 wheels and 90mm tires. Stock, it won't crawl over a lot without getting stuck
@JohnsMiniMechanics was MC or McCree your sponsor? because he no longer works for them.
Yes. They gave me his email, and then I emailed and never got a reply. I've at least got my affiliate link. Just forget to add it every time.
I joined your channel ple stay connected
WOW WOW WOW 🤩
Are those stock shocks? Ride height seems to be right with portals
They are the stock shocks, yes.
2 by 2 with hands of blue? No idea 😅 the blazer is sweet it runs awesome thanks for the little run video , love the Toyota too . Someday I’ll get a black K5 body they’re just so so nice looking
You're welcome. Been needing to get motivated and make run videos, so thanks for lighting a fire under this butt. Dont worry. I'm nerd and it's from a TV show from 20+ years ago and lasted 13epiosdes lol.
