Looking at all of the top WRs in the portal this season they are all from out West or down South. Seems like a lot of our past portal success is bringing Northeast/East Coast guys back in the region from other schools.

Please no Tim Banks at DC. I thought his secondary wasn't that good at all. Maybe it was the DC calling but I think there are better proven options like Indiana's DC or even Illinois or Syracuse's DC

Kobe King = HUGE loss inside. No proven, healthy depth at that spot going into next year. Love our 2 RBs, but would have been okay with keeping one and finding the extra NIL to keep King somehow. Would have been great to have someone here for spring practice. Major error not considering the depth of that spot and using the portal sooner. Even Allen's defense used King quite a bit

Sorry to say but it needs to be said. If Riley Leonard (who is not a good QB) is out QB. We win that game by 14 or more points. Drew has zero, I mean zero “it factor”. Also Tom Allen with his cover 1 press. with the lead in the 4th quarter. What the was that. Especially after they just got a pick playing zone.

The trend is the Trend, Allar has peaked and is in a decline. It is a shame that Allar's staying another year has cost us the opportunity to see Beau play. The Wisconsin game should have been Allar's last as the starting QB for PSU. Allen's quick exit to Clemson now gives some understanding as to why PSU was slow to make adjustments in the 3rd Qrt of the Orange Bowl. PSU was outcoached in the second half of the game. Franklin had to be aware that Allen no longer had PSU's best interests at heart.

Need a MLB and a WR. Maybe DeLuca in the middle. With speed and route work, Dinkins could be a jump ball WR, IMO. Still, portal is the way to go.

If I was Franklin, I announce every position is up for depth adjustments. 1 hr before game 1, I'd announce Ethan Grunkmeyer as starting QB and see what he does, if he wins he stays in that role. We know what we have with Drew. A big arm isn't everything. I think that would make Drew play better as weird as it sounds

Jaylon Reeds lack of effort to make play on ball or level the receiver was the great act of cowardice I litteraly ever saw. I could have broken up as a freshman in HS. Our #5 falls down Clown Then Reed cowards out. This play is the elephant in room.

Allar played poorly...very poorly. Nice guy and nice to have the support of your teammates but it comes down to performance under pressure. Drew Allar does not have that ability. The game was bigger than Allar can handle. He does not have what it takes between the ears to be a leader. Franklin has to see that and call the game accordingly. This is NIL College Football. There is less room now for loyalties to any individual player. It is now pay for performance. Allar is not performing vs good teams.

I don't care who was coaching Penn State in the Orange Bowl. When your star QB throws like that and your WRs are invisible, you're going to lose. It's amazing that we were winning all that time with just a great run game and defense. And then the defense gives up a big play, and ND ties it. As far as replacing Franklin. With who? An untested assistant? Kalen DeBoer looked really good last year, and look what happened to Alabama. Kirby Smart's Bulldogs had three losses. Franklin coaches aggressively. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But players are responsible for that. We have good players, but not as good as OSU. Not too many teams are better. They just all happen to be in the Big Ten.

Bo P should be the QB. Drew Allar has shown who he is. An average QB who comes up short in big games. PSU is never going to win meaningful games with Allar and Big Game James. PSU had a chance this year and they do what they always do, give up a lead and choke in the 4th QTR. They will not get this close again in 20 years. Drew Allar needs to give up the game and focus on something else. Cry baby as well. I really detest Drew Allar after seeing him cry on stage. He is soft just like Crying James Franklin.

Disappointed with the performance on the field overall, but happy for the team for the season. WR department, from player to the position coach, really needs to be addressed. Wonder what the Polymarket is on Higgins returning for the 2025 season.
