Midstate, can you help? Kind of a weird scenario. It's weird cus I'm asking these questions AFTER buying a trailer. I bought a very similar trailer to you. Midsota TB-22. 6 ft stationary deck plus 16 ft tilt bed. I dont have the drive on Fenders. My last trailer was a full deck tilt 7x18' 10K. The distance between the front axle of the trailer and the hitch ball is very far in my mind. If I load a 11k mini-excavator I'd like to keep the machine center of gravity just forward of the front axle, but then I have to place the boom and bucket somewhere. Even worse if I tow a Chevy 1500 it seems to me I'd need to back the Trailer on so lite bed is forward and heavy engine and front end towards the back so the engine and such is over the front axle. If I put the truck nose on first all that front half weight of the truck is on the tongue. Thoughts? I'm almost sick to my stomach. But maybe there is something I'm missing! Thank you.

I have that same trailer. The light bar across the back has rattled the wiring loose where the parking lights trip the trailer fuse on the truck. The grease cover caps on the axles were plastic, and 3 of the 4 cracked and had to be warrantied for metal ones. I have the same bounce out of mine. The empty weight is 4700 lbs. it's heavy. I find that the vibrating when driving is actually the trailer flexing up and down at opposition to each other as a result of the deck having two separate decks. Build quality is good. The engineering in the light bar leaves much to be desired. I have had mine since 2019. 17,600 GVWR. Cheers.

I am. It’s a good attachment for clearing underbrush and invasive plants. The unit is built very well and has taken a lot of abuse with no issues. If your needing a very fine/processed mulch you may want to look at a drum mulcher as the final product can sometimes be larger branches or limbs. Overall for what I use it for it has been very good.

Mine had a low hydraulic light come on yesterday. It’s full. Ran fine for an hours today until I hit a bump. It shut off and won’t stay running. It turns over and stays running as long as the ignition key is held on. But dies if you let it go or hit the accelerator. Any ideas?

I definitely don’t claim to be a super mechanic. I’m more of a glorified oil change technician LOL however.....if I was a betting man I’d say your two issues are unrelated. You may have knocked a wire loose in your ignition or fuel system when you hit the bump. And your hydraulic light is probably just a bad sensor.

They’re great units. Built very strong. The blade speed is slower than some of the competitors but their recovery time is very fast. For processing smaller to medium material I think they can clear as fast as any drum mulcher. When it comes to larger material they definitely slow down and don’t make as fine of material. For my application which is mostly honeysuckle and Russian olive it’s a perfect attachment.

That’s a fair statement. When we purchased this unit it was advertised as more of a mulcher at that time. I would agree that generally the term “mulcher” is referring to more of a drum or disk unit. None the less this unit definitely fits in the family of forestry mulching/land clearing.
