Singletrack Samurai
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 3 ก.ย. 2007
Adventure is about finding out what's on the other end of the unknown.
SingleTrack Samurai started adventuring by bike one ride at a time. His goal was always to ride from Canada to Mexico, so he started searching for challenges and routes that prepared him and pushed him to go further and faster. In the process of this journey, he discovered he had a gift for connecting the dots of the passable paths in his area. After a few years, he discovered that his abilities extended farther and wider than he ever imagined and eventually invited folks to follow his routes, and guess what… They did.
Now, many years later, SingleTrack Samurai encourages folks to chase adventure, test their boundaries and take a moment to follow the routes I have created and organized throughout the years.

Music: www.bensound.com License code: T1UC4TVMZPDJFABI Love for adventure and pushing my limits is what led me to master the fine art of Bikepacking and I am happy to report that after 20 years I still am very much in love with the process and the places that this form of travel provides. September 18th was the inaugural running of the Mega Mid South. I couldn’t pass up the chance. I mean, I ha...
Brief Interview with Logan Kasper currently chasing the EDT FKT
มุมมอง 5712 หลายเดือนก่อน
Logan Kasper is looking to set a new FKT for the Eastern Divide Trail. When riders are on the tracker and they are passing through I try to see them. He was in good spirits and “on a mission”. I had brought my Gravel bike in hopes of riding with him for a good while. But he was just too fast for me and I told him not to wait that I was there as an impartial observant. Was thankful he took the t...

O the Summer dirt road adventure series has been delightful. My only wish was I could have had more folks join me on these exquisite routes. Here is a little recap video I cobbled together which gives me a chance to discuss one of the most inconic and majestic corridors in the state. Enjoy, tell your friends and maybe next year you’ll join me on this ride or even better, join me later this year...
Team Samurai Rides The Colorado Divide, Final Update
มุมมอง 834 หลายเดือนก่อน
The trip Down to Del Norte was perhaps my favorite. The volcanic rocks and mesas were so different from anything we had experienced at this point. Toni’s front brake quit working as we descended Carnero pass and luckily we got it repaired in town. The folks at Rio Grande bike shop were amazing. We got into town just in time for live music and farmers market hangs in the park. Such a beautiful p...

As the days go on our strength grows as does our enjoyment. After a terrific camp up at Ludders we spent the first 20 something miles going downhill before starting our way up carnero pass. The last big climb before Del Norte. At this point we are eager and excited as we hit our goals and continue making forward progress. 🤞🏽we spend most evenings discussing where we will finish this ride since ...
Team Samurai Rides The Colorado Divide Update 5

Our ride to tomichi creek up and over Marshall pass was splendid. The update videos I make are usually the next morning and I neglected to Mention how good of a time it was. We got to the top and left in a rush worried about getting caught in a storm. At this point it was the longest climb Toni had ever done since it was mostly uphill from the time we left town. The race was on as we headed dow...

Update 4, after arriving at Salida we decided to take a rest day to recoup and recharge and enjoy the wonderful town. Was a really great time and I love Oveja Negra stuff so awesome to see their store front. Salida is worth a day visit just to experience their wonderful eateries and town life. Team Samurai Rides The Colorado Divide Update 3
มุมมอง 695 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hartsel to Salida was a lesson in enormous rollers and arid terrain. Although Colorado does have its forest make no mistake the terrain is arid. Toni had the go pro for this stage and the descent down Cameron pass was spicy, so no high speed footage. It was nice after traversing the desert expanse to reach the tree line and finally enjoy the luxury of shade. After two days of enormous expanses ...

St. Marks had a foot thick of sea grass on the trails when we went through. Im guessing it was packed down when you got there the next day. Thank you for everything and we will see you at the HuRaCaN.🚵♂️
@@bluetrinitydesigns I suspect the same thing. 140+ tires definitely made it easier for us.
Sunrise or civil twilight? 😂
Now you know why at kings road I told everyone to be at least 10 minutes early cause apparently I start these things based on feeling sometimes 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great description, interesting details, and highly entertaining! I hope everyone watches the entire video!
Thanks for watching, appreciate the kind words.
Appreciate all you do! I hope to get my health in order so I can experience FL the way you all do! Again, thank you!
Thanks for watching🙏🏽
Love this!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
Awesome! Congratulations! I just came upon your channel as I really want to get into bikepacking as a gravel biker here in south Florida. Hoping I get gutsy and sign up for one of your rides😅
Thank you. I hope you do join one of my rides!

Thank you and thanks for watching 🙏🏽
Great job karlos!! 🤙🏻🇺🇸
Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
Get this man an USWE pack! Always seeming to run out of water 😂Glad you listened to your body and made it across looking good for the camera crew
I had 85 oz with stops expected to be every 30 miles. In any normal situation that would of been enough, but in a 110 heat index it was not. All good. Got it done no power ranger back pack for me though. It’s harder for me to keep up with hydration when I can’t see how much I am drinking bottles work better for me.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience Karlos. What an amazing journey. 🙌🙌🤘🤘👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for watching my friend.
You dappered up for the finish! Nice!
That’s a professional move 🤣🤣🤣
Way to persevere! Congrats!
Thanks for watching my friend and good luck in ArKansas!
You ROCK most excellently for a Samurai! Hope you and the fam are doing well and staying safe in the bad weather in the green swamp recently!!
all is well and thank you for watching!
Wow what an ordeal. Glad you made it to that super warm and enthusiastic welcome! Stay safe out there!
Apparently when the going gets tough the tough get a hotel room. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dude was motoring if you couldn't keep up, dang, what a beast! Thanks for catching him at least!
He was not messing around, love the focus
Inspiring! Thanks for the video!

You guys are doing great!!! Love the videos and the scenery. Looks like a beautiful ride
There is a reason they call it the great divide. If you have the means to approach it with all the time you need it is truly magnificent and great.
@@tmarine3159 it’s a great route.
Appreciate the moral support. Hope to see you soon.

Thanks for watching.
Best of luck dude, but your voice is too low and the music too high. Can't hear you! 😂
Use the captions grandpa🤣 ya this was a tough one to get done the way I would have liked. Thanks for the well wishes and for watching 🙏🏽
Dude, nailed one particular comment in this... I also don't train hard and ride hard to get faster, I train hard and ride hard so that when I'm out enjoying a mind-blowing sufferfest, I'm ENJOYING it, not suffering. Godspeed Team Samurai!
Facts! I do this to have fun not to suffer.
Best of travels and if you are in Breckenridge on your adventure I recommend beer and shots at the Gold Pan Saloon.
Will do!
Lots of good info, best of luck guys!
Thank you for watching 🙏🏽
Great series Karlos. Best of luck to you and Toni!

Great info Karlos!
Thank you my friend. Hope to see you soon and thanks for watching!
Great info my friend - hope to do your King's Road ride one day!
Thank you for watching! Hope to see you on the Kings road sometime as well!
Thanx for in particular, the info in this video. Gave me some more training instruction. I do ride everywhere at all possible. The nose breathing was a confirmation to my thoughts. My primary weakness is speed.
I think the intensity you get from pushing the pace is important but riding alone it can be hard to push the pace. Keep going to group rides or maybe set a goal or a speed to maintain and see if you can hit that number for your ride. Thanks for watching my friend.
