Sucks to hear that, I seen recently like last 18 days or so people been having similar issues. Steelseries is aware of this and working on it, definitely try and contact support or reach out to them through reddit or something. One thing which people recommended was to: Hold the steelseries key + hit T to disable the rapid trigger feature. Then try increasing the activation point of the keys. or plug the keyboard into another usb port which you know its reliable/can deliver more power. Hope you get it sorted soon, let me know how it goes!

You are correct and I wouldn't say that happens only because I talk close to it. Between the recording, edit and live audio playback I will have to say my audio differs a lot and I am still tweaking it as clearly it ain't there properly. Like you said it sounds like explosives but not plosives, it sounds more like a digital firecracker going off than a harsh plosive sound.

From what I know no, the apex pro has all the things required for that to work but there is sadly no implementation. When you plug in the wooting it's recognised as a gamepad from start so you can switch it to a controller etc and get that true analog. So if you can afford the a bit more extra price and time for wooting, for your scenario is the only choice really I believe.

Yeah definitely now the apex pro it's quite appealing and fits into more budgets whereas the wooting 60he can get like £50 more expensive with double shot keycaps and no accessories. I still want to get one and actually compare, hopefully in the coming months and make some videos on it. Also thank you so much for watching!

I am definitely looking for a wooting in the future still and there is also apex pro compact which is 60%. I agree steelseries gg feels like razer synapse bloatware and it's nice on the wooting you can do it in the browser and all. Had people having issues upgrading. Although so far people have been quite happy with the rapid trigger and definitely is much better than razer's (which I understand it's a low bar, but still) plus taking price into account, delivery and that some people including myself have this keyboard for 4+ years!

The amount of copium in youtube wooting fanboys is absolutely insane. I have both. I'm IMM and masters in val and apex. There is not a difference in rapid trigger. The typing and software are the only things wooting genuinely does better. 60% will never beat tkl, sorry. Unless you're going to esports events or have some weird desk setup that really can't handle another 2 inches of keyboard, 60% is awful.

That is odd, I am not really sure. Was your default before 2mm? Here are some things I would double check or do: 1. In the software make sure to press save after making changes to your keys. 2. Try making another profile with the settings you want and see if it works. 3. Maybe unplug and then plug again the keyboard if nothing works and see if your changes are reflected in the software or it reset. I think dead LEDs get common after extensive use no matter the keyboard brand. They do all sadly have a limited lifespan and no warranty I seen covers them either (like 10 or so dead LEDs is seen as cosmetic defect etc) so it's a known thing. I had this keyboard for more than 4 years (got it near launch) and my LEDs started to die after I spilt a drink on it. Started with 3 immediately then seemed to spread a bit. I do have my RGB going on nearly 24/7 but when keyboard is not in use for 1 minute I put it to do a breathing effect. I think if you want to preserve them you could put them off when keyboard isn't used or so.

I've had my $270 (AUD) Apex 5 for under a year, and it already has a whole 2 rows of broken leds. Going to buy a proper keychron later this year, the keyboard itself isn't that bad; just the LED RGB broken within like 8 months of moderate use

@letegritime8916 Damn that's a lot of LEDs in 8 months. I wonder if that can qualify for a replacement as it's still under warranty and definitely seems like a unit defect. I recommend giving it a go at least, I've seen other people getting an entire keyboard without even having to send their old one back. Also keychrons have such a wide variety and customisability, not a bad choice especially that you can swap switches later and even the housing!

I completely feel you, a few months ago I actually wanted to get a wooting keyboard but didn't pull the trigger. So glad I didn't, now indeed we have nearly all the features and in some cases even more!

@@ShayMerp now it's definitely that quick and it's faster and faster. Also depends on the country and how close you are to their next batch. They seem to have 2 batches every month here in the UK at least (1 for keyboard and other for their aluminium casing and other stuff). For example if I ordered now the batch would arrive on the 12th of September and then they will have to deliver so I will give them another 3 days max(could be less). So that's nearly 3 weeks from now. 1-2 years ago, a different story, 4 months plus.

@@ziggycustodio No it's the same models. All apex pro models have access to the rapid trigger update so yes after you update you will have it! (hope it goes smoothly, some people been having problems and seeing on Optimum's Tech new video, sometimes it actually bricked the keyboard)
