Sorry for taking this long to answer. We don't know for sure if Opaline was born or made an alicorn. However is heavily implied that she was born as an Alicorn since she grew up in Skyros, and it seems "Made" Alicorns requires that ponies have certain maturity to transform. For What I understamd Skyros is not part of Equestria... If it is the Wishing Star, it might not be even part of the planet, and that makes the birth of Flurry Heart "beyond the understanding".

It's Ok. If that's what brings you peace. It's true that the show has many inconsistencies. However what I discovered in these videos is that are less than we think. For example. With the art of the show I found the Maretime Bay, Briddlewood, Zephy Height and even Opaline's Dark Castle are situated in the east coast of Equestria, near Phillydelphia..

Well G3 it's the real Outlier here, we have more evidence that G1 and "Pony tales" are connected. with G4 and G5, G1 being older than G4 but Pony tales occurring after the tribe separation. (This explains why there are only Earth Ponies in Pony tales). Obviously there are many things that potentially can connect G3 with the rest of the generations, the breezies being one of them, and the presence of dragons. But how they manage reality in G3 it's inconsistent with how the other series deal with it. I'll look on it but I make no promises. Thank you for your comment.

Well... Celestia lived for 1,000 years. Same as Luna, and the only difference they have with other ponies, is her status as Alicorns. Is possible that Twilight, Cadence and Flurry, also being Alicorns can live for that long. And the estimated time between Twilight's Reign and a New Generation is between 130 and and 270 years. So there is a way... I can't guarantee is the correct one, but there is.

@@GrimWolf001 There is a strangre intresting thing on Chapter 5 of MYM, in the episode Family Trees Pt. 1, when the Mane 6 was on Bridlewood in a place where we see Unicorns making paintings, and we can see in one of the paintings, there a character that looks like Misty but has an alicorn and she is pink with dark blue hair. and it takes the attention of Misty because she was familiar with this maybe. What if this Alicorn may be is related with Misty.

Spike is an (older) adult dragon. At the end of FiM, a dragon gives a flower to a mare (hinting to cross-species relationships). . Except for Spike (maybe Sparky); all surviving dragons are yiunger & have both cutiemarks & "hair" that is magically compatible with the manes of ponies (causes sentience & wild behavior if mixed with Pipp's potions). -> This hints that young dragons are part-pony hybrids [the other side to Kirins being (ancient, precursor) ponies that are part-dragon/salamander]. Because Fountain was trapped in the dungeon of a castle before (but was not born there, rather captured); yet NOT by Opaline; she must be hundreds of years older than what sge hibernated alongside Spike. -> Spike MUST be older than 1500 years (to be the "senior" of Fountain's "junior" relative status). The term "Ancient Equestria" is used in the same way "Ancien Greece" in the real world (3000 to 2000 years before); including both the Celestial & Twilight eras.

Really interesting points, so let me add to the conversation: - The Starscout rug, depicts Ponies and places from the future, so it's natural that its not accurate. -A generation it's not an exact number, since it depend at what age ponies had their kids. For 10 generation to be 300 years each mother shoould have minimum 30 years when they had their first born. It's not impossible, but unlikely, The estimations could be between 180 to 300 years, but let's remember that there are only 9 generation between Elder Flower and Moondancer. So make it 160 ro 280 years. - It's unlikely that so much time had passed, I mean if that's the case, we would still be afraid of Nuclear Holocaust, and buying things to create nuclear bunkers. Each generation that passes, takes less serious the threats of the previous ones, specially if there was not any contact. - Elder Flower never visited Zephy Heights, but she met Pegasi, that told her about it. Which aligns with the estimation that the "war" didn't last long and there was a long period of devided unity. - Your estimation of a century had passed might be correct. Spike wasn't aware that ponies lost magic, meaning that Twilight put them to sleep after Opaline's second attack. And Opaline wasn't part of the war.

Yes, it's possible that the young dragons are cross-breeds with ponies. That's why they have cutie marks but spike don't. Fountain was trapped during Opaline attack on the dragons. We have no evidence that says it wasn't Opaline. Spike is Older than Fountain for certain. However I can't estimate his age only by his size. We don't have information about how Dragons grow in the world of MLP. And newer generations called VHS ancient when they only have 40 years of existing. So the term "ancient" might be relative. I'm just trying to consider what the data provided by the show says. In any case thank you for sharing your comments with us.

Considering that Moondacer was removed 6 generations from Elder Flower, and the old lady has an age that may add a 3 more generations. We have 9 generations. My estimate is between 180 and 225 year with a maximum of 270 considering each generation had it's kids between the age 20 and 25 years. (270 if they all had them on the age of 30 years).

That is true. A zebra is not a Pony and could fit into the description of the theory. However except for Zecora, most of the Zebras do not dwell in magic. So if its not Zecora, i don't see much possibilities is another zebra. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

Its an option yes, but the challenge to prove its connected its enticing. The legend of the guardians was so beautifully hidden, it makes me think the writers are not as sloppy as we think.

@@GrimWolf001True. Now that Make Your Mark is basically over, the writers are probably going to focus on applying lore to the comics and Tell Your Tale with more careful thought. Producers forcing the quick production of story often leaves room for big gaps and plot holes, so even if the writers are still under the same pressure they can at least coordinate the lore (and hopefully retcon or clarify what doesn't make complete sense) better with two schedules instead of three

The only thing we know is that is programmed for March, but it could be released in April as well.

For the moment there is no reason to believe so, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. What we know is that Misty and "Magic" are closely related.

Your theory would make a great Fanfic, one that I would love to read. However in order for your theory to work you will need to completely ignore Skyros existence, that has been confirmed not only by Opaline, but also the book found in Zephyr Heights and Spike. You will also have to ignore the connection between Elder Flower and Moon Dancer, that give us the time frame of events. For the way the magic was lost in you theory there is no way it can return later. and you sent Opaline to Limbo, How does she return? To make a plausible theory, you need to find facts and connect them into logical sequences, since we don't have all the information, we need to "assume" (insert facts we don't know for sure but are possible to occur) the blank spots and make a logical connections. We can't discard facts, just because they are inconvenient. We need to find them true or false by inference. In any case, thank you for sharing theory with us. Hopefully the things I said will help you craft better theories and hopefully you'll decide to put this theory to digital papel onto a fanfic.

@@GrimWolf001 Even so, we can definitely agree that there was probably some massive disaster that Twilight couldn't fix that forced her to seal away all magic. It could have been a threat from the inside, or it could have been from a foreign force. It kinda parallels the Fall of Rome in a way. To be frank, I'm not too familiar with Gen 5.

Honestly the only alicorn that could be alive during g5 is flurry heart because well she was a baby and if she just inherited cadence’s genes then that might extend to her immortality as well and discord should not really be dead he should be immortal and since his magic comes from something that isn’t pony related he could’ve had his magic stolen from opaline like how the other creatures had their magic stolen as well as for cadence celestia and Luna they are probably dead they probably wouldn’t survive without their immortality or long aging like celestia looks the same she did from when she turned discord to stone and banished nightmare moon. Luna only looked different because she was in a weakened state from being turned back this is why she looks how she does in the season four premiere flashbacks. Yeah twilight definitely had to have been forced to seal magic and create new worlds for the remaining creatures to keep them safe and put spike in charge of the dragons because she trusted him and he was her only friend after the rest of the mane six passed away.

Sometimes a character is more realistic by giving them flaws, and one of Misty's flaws is that she's kinda slow to understand her own feelings, we can see this throughout all the Make Your Mark episodes, until she faces Opaline and recognizes her own feelings, all of them, as well. That's what keeps her personality consistent with the rest of her moments in this episode, if she suddenly understood everything at one, she wouldn't be Misty anymore😂 It would feel out of character. And to teach a lesson to the audience, it's not necessary to make the character directly understand what the audience did. I think the unspoken magic of visual storytelling was quite present here, and Grimm Wolf's video explained it perfectly.

@@GrimWolf001 if it is the pink palace is crystal empire castle, that could probably means that one of the crystals and guardians landed somewhere in the crystal empire and the other too far from the crystal empire, also in Chapter 6 episode 1, Spike tell that Opaline was bannish and Twilight create the dragon stone with the dragon's magic. I could say that the guardians dispute finish, their species go with them but some of them will probably stay in ponyville until Opaline will create a dispute with the earth ponies, unicorns and pegasus If you don't understand, you can answer . if you want, could you make a video about Starlight Ridge's story and I don't know what if Starlight Ridge is related to Starlight Glimmer because of the name of the last Make Your Mark special.

I was planning to share some of my headcannons with you that would explain some of your questions...until you mentioned that you hated the series. That made me think... because none of those answers I could give you are from the show itself... are just theories... Imagine, that I answer those questions... would they change how you see the serie? Or just reject them, waiting for the show writers to explain them? I know the movie and the series do not explain many things about the past generation, it's not their story to tell. It's the story of a new group of ponies understanding what "unity" means.

Because every show or series I've ever watched shows that technology and magic does not mix. I don't know but the one thing I love about mlp from gen 1 to gen 4 is that it was about magic and adventure and truthfully it was a beautiful escape from my today reality. Now pony have cell phones i mean come on that's like humanizing them even more and I don't like that either. But if you think you can explain it to me. Perhaps you can help me understand timeliness.

I mean... I sympathize with you that the inclusion of technology might be a bit upsetting, but in the end from G1 to G5 All ponies are representations of innocent humans in their journey to learn about themselves and humanity, and the reason it feels like an scape is because we don't feel the menace of being wrong or fail, the ponies learn, we learn. For me, at least, Magic doesn't have to be supernatural, Magic is about the changes in reality, and a Time Machine, is a magical device even if its fueled by science. Don't let this unanswered questions ruin your fun. Try to enjoy the story as it is, allow yourself to have fun.

Right now there are only two contenders... Twilight Sparkle or the Spirit of Harmony. They both have reasons to protect the ponies... but one fact that is important is that the "Spider" also put the shield.

I think you should elaborate on that comment. Because I feel even if the G4 and G5 are connected the mood, the world, the themes, are different enough. For example: unity is not the same as friendship, friendship is something personal, while unity is something social. Yo don't need to befriend someone to be on the same cause or goal. I compared the both images... but the crystal empire has only 1 big blue tower at the center of the city. The Pink palace has 3 tower and they are almost the same height. So this place is completely "new" when we talk about lore.

I think the shield might only protect the perimeter... preventing other alicorns from accessing. Once inside, they can use Alicorn magic. Elder Flower watching other ponies changing, could refer to the Canterlot Wedding, or any other Changeling Wedding, let's remember the changelings adopted pony customs.

That was a good theory... but recently I checked Twilight's message and now I know the spider can only be two options: Twilight herself or the Spirit of Harmony. However I like the idea of Discord being the spider... But his power even if it is great is not limitless, He was drained of his magic twice in the show, and once in the comics (by Pinkie Pie herself).

We still need to see who the "spider" and "Dawn" really are, lately i've been closing the option for the spider to either "Twilight" or "The Spirit of Harmony" and if the spider is Twilight... there is a small chance that Dawn is Luster. I didn't see the feathers, but they don't seem like wings... are you sure the figure is an Alicorn?

There is a strong posibility that Opaline's, the Wishing Tree and Zephyr Height's trees are sprouts from the tree of Harmony. We need more information to estasblish a connection between the Crystal Empire and Starlight Ridge, it could be fun project for the future. Opaline's Castle looks like a the smallest tower of Midnight Castle, that place was huge and consisted of 6 Towers. We have to be careful when making assumptions to previous generations. Gusty was a G1 pony, but she didn't lead an Army against grogar, and while the amulet is a reference to the Rainbow of Light, this is a different artifact and it can have other rules. We do not have a clear image of the castle of the Two sisters, except for the alternate world where Nightmare Moon was ruler of Equestria, but I bet the castle has been modified for that world. However, even if the tower are more similar to the ones on the illustration, the profile of the castle doesn't match. The tower are far apart one from another, while in the castle of the two sister there are much closer. Let's just say it is a "maybe" but with no real way to confirm it. Thank you for your comment.

@justinmoga2971 Well I search for the reference you mentioned in episode 7, the palace is pink but the castle profile do not match with the one in the illustrations neither the the shape of the tower. But who knows? Maybe I'm just being picky about this.
