This is an absolutely beautiful piece. I'm from the Danvers High Falcon marching band and we're doing this piece for our spring concert. We have about twenty drummers and over 160 band members, so it's a lot of work. Aside the point, this is an awesome piece! Love how you guys put it together!

First movement sounds as if they put no thought into it, no emotion what so ever. The songs about a young woman to feigns death to avoid falling in love with a ship captain, not about how fast you can play it.

Nice flute solo... A little flat at the ending thou. Keep up the good work :)

my middle school band is playing this for our band review, and now that ive heard it at speed i have no idea how we're supposed to march to this!! its so fast!!! how are we going to march at speed AND play at speed without starting to march really fast?!?!

@TBMfan92 That would be Wind Ensemble. Concert band in the fall is a non-audition band for just about anyone at UCF who wants to play in a concert setting.

This wasn't a bad performance at all, musicwise. I would expect college students, however, to be seated quicker than that.

I've come to the conclusion that this piece is much harder than it originally appears. I will be conducting it with our concert band 12/8/10. Nice job with making sure the melody is heard, however, I'm confused with why there is a flute/piccolo sound at the very beginning when it should just be the euphonium solo. Overall, nice job.
