Is there a plugin already that does this for Blender? Just like the old sketchfab plugin used to work
There are additional filters in the "Formats" section that specify filetype, like Blender, C4D, Maya, etc. I'm not sure they've updated a blender-side plugin for FAB from the old Sketchfab plugin. I've seen chatter that the FAB -> Download FBX -> Import to Blender -> Export to UE5 process is pretty cumbersome. I'm hoping that they resolve that in the future with a direct plugin for Blender.
helpful ty for the quick tutorial
Thanks for watching! Glad you found it helpful.
great stuff, i'm surprised it's not activated by default
Yeah I don't think a lot of people have found the transition from EpicMarketplace/Quixel very smooth, hopefully the info in this video makes it a bit easier for people making the leap!
Love the new format
Glad you like it! Trying something new.
Easier way is to set this as an "Overlay Material" on your target objects and simply alter the EmissiveIntensity value. This makes it easily applicable to existing meshes with multiple materials and doesnt need all the caching. Very helpful tutorial.
Elden Ring!!! Love that game
It's a great game, some unbelievable game design and systems implementation that FromSoft has built and improved on over the last 15+ years.
super useful information, i always learn something from your videos
Happy to hear that - let me know if there's anything you want to learn about in the future!
super well explained thank you
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Great tutorial, perfectly paced. Thank you!
Glad you liked the video! If there's anything else you'd like to learn about or any other examples you'd like to see in future videos, leave a comment and let me know what you'd like to see!

What do you want to learn about in UE5? 🎮
nice, i've struggled with interfaces but this implementation makes things very clear, thank you
super helpful video, very well explained!
This just crash... Well done.
Great explanation and demonstration - thank you
really great video, the part about the visibility channel is exactly what I needed
That part trips up a lot of people - it's an easy thing to miss if you're not familiar with those aspects of collision. Thanks for watching!
Helpful, as always! I'd also love to hear your favorite games and what you don't like/like about them from a game dev perspective. Could be really interested to hear that breakdown.
Thanks for the tutorial. In my case, the dispatcher blueprint/actor (multiple) are dynamically spawned into the scene later on, so I am unable to choose them in the Dispatcher Reference field on the listener. Do you know how I can get the dispatcher reference to be the spawned dispatchers?
In the event dispatcher, you could feed through a ReferenceToSelf (from the BP which calls the event dispatcher) and have that on the Delegate Signature on the BP in which the EventDispatcher is called. In the section on the left in the details panel where your event dispatchers and variables are, if you select the specific event dispatcher, in the details panel on the right, you'll have access to the input and output variables of the EventDispatcher, where you'd set a new variable, such as EventDisaptcherReference, and then you'd set ReferenceToSelf on the BP which calls the EventDispatcher.
wow!!! this is soo good! Thanks a lot!
happy to hear you found it helpful! thanks for watching!
very well explained!!!
glad you enjoyed the video!
How will I be able to do multiple indexes so I can just switch through each index on the fly with a button press?
Hello, could you help me? I’ve created a color wheel widget that allows me to change the color of an actor in-game. I want to combine this with spawning actors, so I followed your video and applied it to the color wheel system. It works, but the problem is that after spawning the first object with the selected color, the following objects retain the same color as the first one, regardless of the new color I select. I think the issue is related to the spawning blueprint. Here’s what I’m doing in the EditObject Widget blueprint: On clicked → Get all widgets of class (Widget Class = ColorWheel) Get → NewColorWheel (variable located in ColorWheel) Set ColorInTextBox (variable in the current widget) SpawnActor (I’ve connected ColorInTextBox to ColorValue) This allows me to change the color of the first spawned object, but when I try to spawn another, the new one keeps the color of the first object.
stumped on how to add an opening and closing exterior door for the moving elevator, when reaching its destination. would that function be inside the BP_Moving elevator? or On anew BP class for the door. I cant get it done
What a buttery smooth voice!
Great Video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Appreciate it, glad you found it helpful.
Working on a 2D in a 3D world game and for a whole month now, I have tried literally every single youtube tutorial on how to do that, none of them worked except for your video, thank you so much.
Happy to hear that!
🎮What topics do you want to learn more about in UE5? 🎮
you have the best tutorials!!
@Aliatgruns thank you!
Thanks, awesome video! I'm working on a project and its been supper informative on how to use data tables
Awesome - glad you found the video helpful!
how would i do it to make it scroll to the right?
You’d set the X Speed value to a value that is greater than 0 that we added to the texture coordinates and making the Y Speed value = 0. It depends on your UV mapping though - you could do a word aligned texture to make it scroll to the right regardless of your UV mapping.
@@UnrealDevHub are you talking about the smoke? I figured out how to make that scroll to the right it's the lines they scroll up and i want them to scroll to the right. On the texCoord we multiplied that by the UVScaleBands.I guess I'm misunderstanding what you are saying.
I saw one of the developers show how he dropped hundreds of static meshes and then recorded them falling so he could repeat it without simulating. Is it possible to do this with projectiles? To, say, record the flight of hundreds of bullets.
Keep going bro. You will blow up eventually, because these are high quality tutorials. You just need to make a more "clickbaity" type of introduction to UE5 for normies so that you can get a lot of viewers on one vid and go from there. "How to make a basic first person shooter in unreal engine" etc.
