This was an informative video, I didn't know there were so many alternatives to using normal floss I have a question about my own oral health since I'm kind of new to this (・・;) You don't have to answer this, I just don't have currently access to a dentist to ask this in real life to instead For context, I haven't been able to keep up my oral hygiene for most of my life-even when I was actively trying to get better about it, I'd have trouble being consistent and then eventually the "habit" would fizzle out. For months or even years. As you can imagine, this wasn't really good for my teeth and now the gums on my front teeth have receded a bit. I've been managing to regularly brush my teeth, but I've only recently managed to floss even semi-consistently. One thing I notice when I floss is that when I floss my front left tooth, it hurts quite a bit when I start from the very top on one side, like a sharp pinch. I know that it could be a sign of a cavity, but I wanted to ask if it was sensitivity from the part of the tooth that was supposed to be under the gums. Part of my reasoning for asking this is because it's my top tooth that's the most receded, and it's more receded on the side that it hurts more when I floss. I get a somewhat similar pain when I floss on the other side, but it's not to same degree and I have to start more up the tooth than I normally would to get the same amount of pain. One of my teeth next to it experiences it, but again, not to the same degree. I wanted to know if this was a result of my receding gums or if it's more likely to be a cavity
