Just finished my build. This video was helpful but also frustrating. It goes too fast a key moments when you want to make sure you have the right part or have it turned the right way. The build turned out to be very much a jigsaw puzzle exercise. It would be SO helpful to make this video with an actual narration that clarified key points along the way. For example one instruction is to make sure that the part faces outward, but what does face mean? Which direction is outward? Ambiguous at best. Also all the parts are black in the lighting it’s not easy to see which way they are facing or tell one part from another similar part - a blow by blow narration please!
Thanks Brian! I will pass this off to our team to see if we can improve this video. You are going to love the table!
How does chicken turn out?
Chicken turns out amazing! It is extremely juicy!
Great grill
Do yo have available to buy in south america?
We can ship to South America but the Grill is only safety certified for USA and Canada so you would be purchasing at your own risk.
I guess I'm just set in my ways, but I insist on buying the best possible quality beef I can afford at the time. If I can't afford anything that looks great, I'll have chicken, pork, beef, tofu, etc. Great meat never needs any of these expensive rubs, in my opinion. If you want throw a little salt on the meat before grilling, have at it. Sometimes the beef is so good it needs absolutely nothing, including salt and pepper, on it. Great quality ingredients, simple preparation and simple sides make the food speak for itself. That's just my idea of perfect eating and to each his/her own, I totally respect that.
Love that James! We always recommend buying the best quality beef. The rubs are more of a matter of preference I would say but at Schwank Grills we prefer only salt on our steaks with some delicious butter in the drip tray!
Do you have a military discount?
Yes we do but at the moment our Black Friday sale is larger than our military discount! Check it out at schwankgrills.com - No promo code needed!
What temp you cook that at
We sear at 1500 degrees for 2 minutes per side!
Can I use inside the house ? On the kitchen?
Unfortunatley, the Schwank Grill is only safety certified for outdoor use at this time because it runs off propane or natural gas.
I need this
Our Black Friday sale starts this Friday! If you email info@schwankgrills.com they may be able to give you early access to the sale to beat the crowd. Last year we sold out 3 days into the sale 🤯
This is the most amazing vdeo. Cant wait to make a steak like that
You're going to LOVE it! Have you purchased the grill yet?
There is nothing better to cook prime steaks!
Can I use infrared grill indoors? Do you have a counter top version..small? Just for one person
Unfortunately, the Schwank Grill can only be used Outdoors at this time because it runs off Propane or Natural Gas. The model on our website is the smallest one we have that is a counter top version but needs to be used outdoors.
I plan to do this tonight on my grill. How long should I leave it in? 😊
Typically, sear for 30 seconds to 1 minute per side at 1500 degrees and then lower the grill grate to level 3 for another 1-2 minutes depending on your desired doneness. Feel free to add some butter, spices, or oils to the drip tray as well!
Can everyone STOP BREAKING THEIR BALLS about information in the video? Like STFU already, go to the damn website for information or call them, and just enjoy the cool video. This looks awesome and I am definitely going to buy one once we move. Those tomahawks looks insanely good lol. So does all the other food. Awesome stuff guys!
What are the dimensions of the grill and what size propane gas?
@lindachew3589 the dimensions of the grill are 25" Wide by 17" Deep by 15" High. You can use any standard size propane tank. Let us know if you have any other questions!
I think it's unhealthy, that's what you need to test next
Hello, why would you say it is unhealthy? We can definitely answer any questions you may have.
@@SchwankGrills Cooking meat at very high temperatures can form harmful compounds such as heterocyclic amines (HCAs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which are linked to cancer when consumed in large amounts.
@@bakirhariz6091 There are many factors that contribute to the development of HCAs and PAHs including the amount of cooking time. Since the Schwank Grill cooks faster there is a very low risk of this occurring. We have researched this and can provide more information if you email us at info@schwankgrills.com
are you talking about black part?
@@mollies13 Studies have shown that food cooked at extremely high temperatures for long periods of time could develop HCAs and PAHs, however, the Schwank Grill cooks extremely fast so it is likely that these compounds don't have enough time to form. For example, you can grill a steak on the Schwank Grill in as little as 3 minutes!
Meh
Can't wait to get mine! Ups had a delay!!😢
Eat more red meat, it’s good for your health! The less you cook it, the healthier it is for you! Alcohol is against your health, because of the sugar it turns into! A Carnivores dream machine!
1300$$ and only fits two steaks?! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤣
You can do 2 steaks at a time which are ready in only 3-4 minutes and will be the best steaks you've ever tasted in your life! It's important to note also that this grill is not just for steak. Lobster Tails are ready in 5 minutes, Salmon in 3 minutes, Pizza in 5 minutes. It also makes hamburgers, chicken wings, lamb, ribs and more! Once you try it you will never go back to a traditional grill!
Do you leave the cooking plate/ grate in the grill while it preheats?
Yes! You should have all internal parts in the grill while the grill is heating up.
How best to clean the sides and back (which get coated with grease)?
The best way to clean the sides and back is with a grill cleaner and a soft sponge. We recommend the Goo Gone oven and grill cleaner
Dawn Powerwash works really well.
@@michaelschrock2838 Thanks! This is a great tip, we will try it out!
Why such a *huge* price difference between this and ones listed for around $200 on eBay and Amazon? Besides being made in the US?
We see a lot of cheap knockoffs in the market. Unfortunately you would not get the same result. Here are some of the differences: The Schwank Grill uses the exact same infrared technology used in Morton's, CUT432, Palm Restaurant, Del Frisco's and many other premium steakhouses. Knockoffs will use cheaper infrared burners that will not perform as well or last as long. These company's claim 1500 degrees but you will notice a HUGE difference when using the Schwank Grill over a cheap knockoff. It has many features that the knockoffs don't. We have a lifting mechanism that allows you to control the height of the grill grate simply by lifting a handle in addition to a drip tray drawer at the bottom to rest the steaks in. The Schwank Grill is typically double the size of the knockoffs and has high quality parts that will last much longer. We are American Made and our product is built with high quality 304 stainless steel material. You will notice a huge difference in the build quality and performance of the Schwank Grill.
@@SchwankGrills Well... thanks for the response although I guess it was more a rhetorical question than anything. I have a neighbor that got one from Amazon for $160 and he's been using it for about 3 years. Works amazing and seems to be a good sized unit. I appreciate American made but can't justify the over $1,000 difference for what is essentially a one-trick pony.
@@_SurferGeek_ You would notice a big difference in performance with the Schwank Grill with a much better grilling experience and longer lasting product. It is far from a one trick pony! You can grill Lobster Tails, Salmon, Hamburgers, Chicken Wings, Lamb, Scallops, and even PIzza with our pizza stone accessory!
@@SchwankGrills Ok... thanks...
1250 usd? Bruh
Check out our reviews here - www.trustpilot.com/review/schwankgrills.com. Our customers will tell you it is definitely worth the price! This is why Morton's, Del Frisco's, and many other of the world's best steakhouses use our infrared technology.
Yeah my Schwank Infrared Grill just caught fire. Melted the knob and propane hose. At $1250, it’s safe to say I won’t be buying a new one.
@camwhitman5425, This is definitely not supposed to happen! Can you please send us the name on the order and we can contact you right away to rectify this?
@@SchwankGrills Will do.
@@SchwankGrills Thank you for your support. Replacement of the grill?! Amazing! I received the notification that a refurbished one is on the way. Thanks Again!
Yummy
Boring. Everybody knows this recipe and you are like a millionth person who is trying to be ineteresting on social media. Just boring.
How do you think a cook's a pizza I wonder how the bottom crust is leopard or not
Hi Robert, we sell a pizza stone accessory which allows you to heat the stone and cook the bottom to perfection! Pizza is ready in less than 5 minutes on the Schwank Grill!
Do you have to clean the entire thing every time you use it? Or just the grill tray and the drip tray?
We recommend cleaning the grill grate, grill shelf and the drip tray each time.
How do you clean it?
All internal parts are removeable and dishwasher safe! We recommend a light scrubbing with some dish soap and then tossing them in the dishwasher.
Is this for searing or can you cook the meat to desired tenderness?
You can sear and cook the meat to your desired temperature! Your typical inch and a half thick ribeye is typically medium rare in only 3-4 minutes!
A whole lot of expensive broiler 😂
Our customers LOVE this grill! It is a very high quality product that uses the exact same infrared technology we supply to Morton's, CUT432, Del Frisco's and many other of the world's best steakhouses. Check out our amazing reviews here - www.trustpilot.com/review/schwankgrills.com
@@SchwankGrills like I said a 1200 dollar broiler but hey enough clowns have brought this so I would keep selling too. You can do this in 100 dollar pizza oven please stop it. Y’all aren’t revolutionaries. You’re scam artist posing as entrepreneurs.
I just fell in love ❤
For a modest sum, you too can have tasty steaks and celebrities in your backyard.
🔥
How does it hook up to either propane or natural gas? They don’t show that in the video
The Schwank Grill connects to any standard propane tank purchased at your local hardware store, you just need to screw it on. For Natural Gas you would need a licensed gas technician to connect the hose to your Natural Gas Line at your home to make sure it has the correct pressure. The grill is outdoor only and cannot be used indoors.
That’s depressing why not make one for indoor
I Live in State were we DONT have warm weather all yr. Love grilled food.
@@shirleymerly4they do make this for indoor. Look up salamander kitchen broiler (not the animal!)
It is best portable outdoor broiler! Love it!
How do you justify a $1250 price point? The propane does half the work🤷🏻♂️ I’d love to have this and I don’t mind paying a bit but come on you did not invent the wheel here!!

That's great! You are going to LOVE the Schwank Grill, it's truly a gamechanger!
Hello have a nice day I want to get your help
if the burner is up top, wouldn't there be a possibility of the fuel leaking down on the food ?
The fuel is injected inside the burners and would not leak outside the so there is no risk of fuel leaking onto your food

1500° Degrees Is Crazy Hot... Most Ovens Only Get Up To 450°-550°
This is also superb for searing pot roast before putting it in the pressure cooker. The flavor is far superior to pan searing.
Good to know will try that
Price range? Really interested, but need to know.
Hi Cynthia! The price of the grill is $1250. Our customers absolutely LOVE this grill! Check out our reviews here - www.trustpilot.com/review/schwankgrills.com
$1,200.00
just bought the grill. first use went well. questions. during my first cook i indeed got a great sear but this is a new technique for cooking for me. is there info somewhere on how long i should expect a steak to remain on "3" to get done on the inside? Also do you know of an indwelling thermometer on the market that can stand up to this kind of heat? A Meater probe for instance wont work at this high a temp. The Thermapen etc which are handheld require pulling steak in and out of the grill which is disruptive. Steak was really good despite my limitations of inexperience
Hi Ben, it really depends on how thick the steak is in order to determine the time it should stay on level 3. We recommend the Tappecue Airprobe 2 Wireless Probe, however, we would strongly advise you to insert the probe after you sear both sides and lower the grill grate to level 3. This will allow you to monitor the temperature without having to pull out the grill grate. Happy Grilling!
Okay, so that was a badass promo video... and told me quite literally NOTHING. It's an oven that gets food REALLY close to the heating elements? A broiler? Does it get super hot? I mean, it's asserting 1500º... UNDER the burner? It is just a superinsulated box? How hot is the TOP of that thing if BELOW the fire it's 3x hotter than a typical broiler? In any case, what's the advantage to all that? Does it just sear really well? C'mon guys... help me out here.
Hello, the purpose of the video is to show the versatility of the grill. Yes, it is classified as a broiler that heats up to extreme temperatures of 1500 degrees F using the exact same infrared technology we supply to Morton's, CUT432, Del Frisco's and many other of the world's best steakhouses. This allows you to get an incredible sear without overcooking the inside. The extreme temperatures make your food incredibly juicy and allows for a much faster cooking experience. Your steak can be ready to eat in as little as 3 minutes. Also, since the grill is overhead the meat juices drip to the bottom drip tray which allows you to add butter, spices, or oils and enhance the flavor even more. You can learn more about the technology and the advantages of the grill at schwankgrills.com
@@SchwankGrills you might have thought to put that info in the video.
I agree, it looks like a Kickstarter promo video; flashy but uninformative. The video needs stats, narration, and features.
@@BennygProductionz its not their only content, you're a click away to finding more info...
Not as tender as Sous Vide but doesn't require extra searing. Expensive but well worth the money.
Could you sous vide and do this together?
@@msladebeatz that would be the ideal thing. Sous Vide cooks things throughout, while this grill acts more like a broiler. So for meat cuts, you'd slow cook it in sous vide and broil it with this thing, or a torch, same thing, different price range, more efficient and precise than a torch.
Mine just arrived this week ❤️😊. I’m cooking on Saturday 😊.
