74th Hunger Games Arena Arrows Replica
Here’s a video I put together showing the entire process of building the arrows for the 74th Hunger Games. I do my best to showcase the work involved in creating my prop replicas. I’ve built these arrows since I was a kid and over the years I’ve learned new tricks to perfect my craft. This time, I used higher quality materials and new technology to build this set.
Out of all of the arrows from the series, these ones require the most time, effort, and money to produce. I have to make every single individual piece that goes into just making one arrow, you can’t go anywhere to buy these. Although they require more work, they are my favorite arrows in the series. The final product not only illustrates the artistry involved but also to show you all how to turn ordinary materials into futuristic props!

How did you made the silver arrows?
I haven’t gotten around to make a video on it. I plan on doing it though. It’s clear packaging tape, foil, and a thin wire. Then I grind a small groove in the arrow to secure the fletching, glue it, then slide tubing on the top and bottom.

Where’d you get the broad heads
They’re tru fire switchblade broadheads, bow was a Shakespeare Yukon recurve that I added wood and JB Weld to reshape it as shown in the video, and I haven’t had time to remake the bow and show the other steps. Is it just a prop or will it shoot?
It will shoot, but like everything, with use the paint will ware off. I’d recommend just keeping it for display to preserve it.
