If you want to experience diving with a lot of sharks then this is a great place in the Caribbean to do so. The Cuban Government has done a very good job of protecting and preserving the area.

For an unforgettable experience then October is perfect timing to swim with large female whale sharks at Darwin Island.

This is a thrilling adventure that's for the stout of heart. Go at this with eyes-wide-open because these animals are often very unpredictable. How many people can say they've swam with a large crocodile...to my knowledge, this is only done in Cuba. Comment if you know otherwise.

The Maldives should be on every divers bucket list. Crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and an abundance of marine life. Over 26 atolls and hundreds of dive sites, it caters to all levels of divers, but for the best diving experience it needs to be done on a live-aboard dive boat. Encounters with manta rays, whale sharks, and reef sharks are common, especially in channels and cleaning stations. The reefs are alive with colorful corals, tropical fish, and macro creatures like nudibranchs. Night dives are particularly unique in these waters.

A haven for adventurous divers. The Forgotten Islands of Indonesia, are remote and sparsely populated offering pristine marine biodiversity and dramatic landscapes. Rich in culture, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs, these island, despite their beauty, remain relatively unspoiled by tourism. I recommend diving this area aboard the Arenui live aboard dive board.
