I heard a rumor this song was from an unreleased or lost cartoon going off of the weird lyrics, possibly a series about that island. It fits 80s cartoons, but I don't think it's from one. It's a beautiful song though, and it gives off nostalgic vibes.

The vocals are more distinct. I had always thought the line was not “consequence of leaving” as many thought, but “consequence of living”. Now it is obvious it is the latter.
