I'll make mine cheaper with a hobbyist sawmill!!! Thanks.
Why does everyone use 2x4s? I built mine out of treated 2x2s and it is cheaper and lighter. You just use some short pieces to reinforce the peaks and corners. Used 1/4 inch screen, not 1 inch chicken wire.
This was very helpful.
That’s really nice
Shouldn’t there be some ventilation?
That's nice 👍
What’s stop rain water from dripping down into the nest boxes from the back of the hatch opening? I’ve built the same setup and I’m getting water dripping down the crack where the hinges are.
❤Do you have any plans for this build available
What did you spend on it approximately?
Take hog panels and attach to each side like a skirt. They hinge to fall to ground and pull up and latch to side for easy movement.
Do you not have to worry about predators like raccoons and black snakes getting through the chicken wire on the sides? Curious why you used hardware cloth on the front with the door but not around the cattle panels?
also, what size are your cattle panels?
Where did you get those sunglasses?
How do you attach the wood to the panel? I could use some guidance please
So cute good job!
This is exactly what I have been looking for! Thanks for making this video
Good looking coop!
Nice looking coop! 🐓
Hey, how did you attach the roofing material to the coop?
How did you make automatic watering sys? Or did you buy them?
Man that is slick thanks for sharing
No problem bud
Nice set up, but is it a 'summer house', or are winters very mild where you live? I just ask because og no insulation .
North Alabama gets cold but not freezing for months on end. Our chickens do fine
I am in the process of building something similar. I've already got the 23 ft long cattle panel run done but I wasn't sure how to complete the shelter/coop area. Awesome job! You've given me great ideas. Thank you for your video. 👍
Your Welcome, don’t forget to sub
Sweet, great job
Beautiful chicken coop and chicken run, especially you can get eggs outside. the wire mesh you used was perfect for young chicks and chickens, and avoid small wild animal to steal eggs.
Thanks
Awesome setup! Is there a dividing partition underneath the roosting shed that keeps the chickens from switching sides?
Yup
You got the best chicken coop I have ever seen. Great job!
Thanks
Already have my hoop coop built but I like your design. Is there a video of you making the wooden part of the coop with dimensions.
AWESOME CHICK COOP!!
Thanks
This will be happening on the 9 Acres we have a coop and a hoop coop and will be combining them now! New sub here because of this video!
Thank you
We built a coop similar for our new chicks, how did your fair in the winter??
Great
This looks awesome!!! Do you have plans available for this build?
No we don’t at the moment
do u have plans at this time
No we don’t Sorry
We are wanting to build a hoop house asap. How do you attach your roofing metal? Thanks…..love your design and am following y’all on Facebook.
2x2s
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 do you attach the 2x2 directly to the cattle panels or some sort of framing?
Just screw threw the metal into the 2x2 that pinches the cattle panel & holds it in place
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 thanks......my husband with much colorful language was able to do that. Let me say....we needed extra hands!
On your watermelon when the curler thing turns brown it’s not ready . Roll it over and look on the bottom and if it has little black spots that look like mold ( it’s not ) lol that should mean they ready . That’s what I look for . I can tell like the old folks with the thump .
First year, We learning
How much are the cattle panels down there . Last time I checked here in NC they had gone from 25 dollars to 31 dollars . Just wondering if they cost y’all the same
Went from 17 to 31
Love this design. Do you build for others? We might be neighbors.
We have Built 2 others
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 How can we contact you? We're in NW Alabama.

@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 Thank you for the reply. We'll have to pass, we don't have facebook.
Where are you out of?
What do you do for ventilation?
There’s plenty of ventilation. That’s never been a issue
GREAT!!💖
Thanks
Love that coo, we're looking to build something simple, sturdy for about 10ish hens. Great ideas, ty
I like my A frames if you need something cheap
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 I would like that as well!
They are around 4-5 hundred dollars. Easy to build
Best 1 I've seen yet
Thank you
so dope
Thanks
Awesome. Very nice. Love it.
Thanks
Just found y’all’s channel. Subscribed. How did you attach that end wall for the door to the hog panel? Thanks.
We use Plummer strap
Do you have a materials list on this project?
I made 1 a long time ago. Just 2 2x16s the rest are 2x4s and cattle panels-4 and fence Pickets
@@whiteshackhatcheryfarm463 Thanks!
What is the house sitting on exactly to be raised?
What do you mean?
I don't see any support under the house itself
Doesn’t need it
Neat. I really like the design.
Thanks

nice work....
Nice, simple..just what I need......
Which Coop. After building A-Frame and Hoop Coops. I feel the A frame was easier to build.
