    Sola Scriptura is problematic because it is not historical. The Catholic Church precedes the Bible and is the one that made the Bible. It was through the Councils of Carthage and Rome by which we got the Bible. Another issue are the many writings of the early Church Fathers such as those of Ignatius of Antioch, Saint Justin Martyr, Clement, and the Didache were furthermore also treated with just as much authority as Scripture in teaching the faith and in the Church's liturgy. Sola Scriptura is unbiblical. Jesus and the Apostles constantly referred to extrabiblical sources such as the Mishnah (a collection of Jewish oral traditions) as well as other non-biblical books such as the Ascension of Isaiah and the Assumption of Moses. In addition, we can see an authoritative Church with Peter as it's head. In Acts 15 for example, we see Peter speaking and authoritatively judging theological matters and heretics such as that of the Judaizers. Finally, Sola Scriptura leads to doctrinal anarchy and theological contradictions. If each individual can interpret the Bible for themselves (by guidance of the Holy Spirit) Why are there 30 thousand of Protestant Churches with radical theological contradictions? Sola Scriptura is a problem!

      @@fadoone i guess nobody argues how we got The Bible. I think that the point of Protestants was that “it all went too far” centuries later. If not reformation I guess I still wouldn’t be able to read The Bible in my language, I think i would only be able to pay for the forgiveness of sins

    20-30 years ago women were different. Nothing is more beautiful than a man and a woman who collaborate together. Nothing is more ugly than a man and a woman who hate each other. I agree with you about the modern woman.. The modern woman believes that she is the prize, that she does not have to offer anything and the man has to offer everything. The modern woman is not loyal, the modern woman runs after the 5% of men and allows herself to be used by them and then she claims that the men needs to marry her. For a man it is like going to the market to buy potatoes and all the sellers are selling rotten potatoes and dozens of times more expensive, and when the man says that he does not want such goods, the sellers start shouting and saying that he is the problem, not the rotten potatoes. On dating applications, the modern woman is a disaster, a dictator, a psychopath, a person without feelings, a completely insensitive person, a materialistic person, in short an escort... But there are also good women from whom these modern women must learn how to be healthy because the modern woman is sick. There are women and I have met dozens of good women, respectful, lovely, full of love, beautiful like princesses. How beautiful are these women who know how to respect, know how to be women and know how to be noble beings as a woman should be let it be, the future mother.. Yes, those women do not live in these progressive countries.

For if it was then why do we not have people who have never taken up sinning. Only Christ has lived a sinless life. Again only HE, is perfect. Selah.

    there is no such thing as biblical moral values. With one possible small exception, the Bible doesn't even contain a word that should be translated as moral. The Bible talks about a relationship with God and one of the consequences of that relationship is behavior that strengthens the relationship.

    • @PeopleOfTheWay-Today

      LOL, you have a good sense of humour. The Bible also does not have a word for vegetarian... and for other things. Oh, and the manual for my car does not have a word for the feeling one gets when the turbo kicks in, please stop. That is not how any text works - you know that. Be an honest broker and give a good faith argument , please. Also, I will research/double check your claim about the word moral and it being translatable from any word in the bible. Assuming, that what you say is true - it would still not change that there is a biblical morality. For the word morality in this context points to a cohesive set of principles that can be organised and adhered to by a person/society. Just like a set of manners, etiquette, cultural norms, sportsmanship etc. That is why your argument is a bit shallow my friend. Add to that biblical morality works so well and builds great people, families, societies and nations. I think you just have a problem with morality - please tell me why you dislike the idea of being moral. As, for the last description of relationship acting as replacement for morality - then why does FATHER GOD command us to - listen, trust, believe, OBEY, FOLLOW, do not depart, act righteously, flee sin, tell the truth... oh and the other 9 commandments. I could go on however the moral standards I follow as a Christian tell me I should allow you a response. Please do, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you for your comment.

    • @matthewtenney2898
      @matthewtenney2898 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PeopleOfTheWay-Today Would you expect a book on vegetarianism to contain the word "vegetarian"? Yes I know it's a weak argument but it did give you pause, I suspect, since you have to research it. Here is one explanation of morality that, at brief glance, I like: "morality is the consequence of the experience of God, more precisely the God-given human experience of an entirely unmerited gift" Now let's see your definition "cohesive set of principles that can be organised and adhered to by a person/society." In your definition, God is not mentioned and therefore presumed unnecessary. Would the Bible endorse a God-free definition?

    • @PeopleOfTheWay-Today
      @PeopleOfTheWay-Today 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@matthewtenney2898 I see you have chosen the disingenuous approach - unsurprising. Is that moral? Your first point about vegetarianism is moving the goal post. However, let me address the metaphor you are trying to make. A book on vegetarianism would most likely have the word in there. Now to the bible. is the bible a book on morality... In part, the book is about GOD and HIS plan to redeem mankind from sin. You see this is where the relationship you where speaking of actually comes into play. You missed that because you where busy being disingenuous. Add to that, we do not know for certain that the word is not in there. That is why you need to be doubled checked because your morality allows you to make full on disingenuous arguments - while being less informed than you claim to be. Furthermore, the concept of morality is named many times by many different words. Not to mention entire lists like the 10 Commandments. As for giving me pause. I see you just make disingenuous statements to give people pause. Sad. I did want to check it because the Christian ethic tells us to truly study The Word so if you make such a claim I would like to truly study it. Also we are not to make false claims, statements or interpretations about The Word. So I have to verify what you are saying. Add to that Christians are to teach and spread The Word - so talking to you about it is a good, in and of itself - so I do not mind looking anything up and won't just disagree if I am uncertain about something - just to disagree. Your last comment about the definition. Is shallow at best. I suspect more talk just to give pause, right. Well, I was expounding on the concept of a moral code itself there. Just like the examples below that point. For the Christian there is no morality without GOD. The concept would be meaningless. Where is your definition of morality from, I would like to see it in its context? The real question is though... Why do you have such a problem with morality?

      @@PeopleOfTheWay-Today I don't care if it's from a God, genocide is objectively wrong no matter what. No matter how wicked a race is there is no justification for wiping them from existence. And besides, there's multiple gods in the Bible,. I think I heard something along the lines of YHWH making a deal with humanity to grant them eternal life in exchange for worshipping him alone. Even if the gods are real, how do you know YHWH isn't secretly evil and just trying to separate us from Ba'el or what's his name. For all we know he's trying to keep us from getting into heaven.

      @@God-King-Aizen You need to actually read the bible and stop listening to internet heathens/atheists. The entire second part of your comment when you start speaking about YHWH, shows you do not know the bible. That is not in the bible nor is it Christian doctrine. If you are going to debate about it at least read the most influential book in history - still the number best selling as well. Oh, plus it is a book about The Creator Himself. OK, now the first part, the part that has an actual argument in it. You say genocide is objectively wrong - what are you basing that belief on? How is it objectively wrong.. based on what? LOL, typical response. Could you imagine being so misguided that you listen to this video and the best thing you can do is question someone's sexuality while thinking the biggest thing about this video is criticising people about being "nice". Niceness is not necessarily being good. P.S. some advice... Men should not be "nice". It is not a manly virtue. Good day.

      @PeopleOfTheWay-Today And religious beliefs are not necessarily good. Do you realize that what you think of as your god's word is really just someone's elese words? Unless your god spoke English, what you claim is god's word is simply another man's translation, and you actually have no idea what your god's words are. You only know what someone else claims is your god's word. Good luck with that!

      @@StillmanVonStillman This is incorrect. Let me help. First, while random religious beliefs may not necessary be good - Christian Beliefs are Good. That is why the Christian Faith excludes all other religions and calls them false. Christianity has a book and a correct way of understanding and following the book that locks the believer into right and good beliefs. The Book was written by The Spirit + men thus we say it is an inspired Book (The Bible). It is inspired by GOD who is Goodness HIMSELF (meaning the creator and standard of goodness, there is no such thing as goodness or otherwise without HIM). As for the debunking of all Christianity that you tried to do in the second portion of you comment. I have to say that I hope you do not actually believe that argument is a good one against Christianity. Do you have any idea how well preserved the Bible is. Plus, we have early manuscripts in the original language. There is so much history behind the bible that honestly... I just feel sad that you are that misinformed. So I will offer more help because Christians want people to know what we believe and WHY? Check out these channels and their work on translation, why the bible is in its current form, languages, timeframes etc. Channels: Inspiringphilosophy, Sean McDowell, William Lane Craig, The Bible Project, Mike Winger, 119 Ministries. There are so many more. The fact that you would make the argument you made in just sad. I hope you find the truth - You can really do better. This is an ignorant presentation. It has nothing to do with Jesus Christ of the New Testament. Hey, do one on "BULLY" Christianity. You will have a huge amount of material going all the way back to the developing days of its dogma. Christians killed millions of those who would not yield to the Christian beliefs. Often, Christians are bullies. You can see it in today's maga politics.
