Whew! Throwback video! 2005 I was 17 and a senior red belt in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan. I only found 2 videos from that tournament, so i combined them into one video here!

So long story short. At the beginning of THE FIRST match, I got my left shoulder dislocated pretty bad. He shot in for a take-down and I landed with all my weight on the sweet spot of an old injury. You will notice I am not doing much with my left arm. (Still won). I'm in RED

Glory days
Master Course is/was ten days long. The last three days were examinations: Written test, Sparring, basic kicking, and Poomase (forms). The Master Candidates were called up to perform random Poomsae in groups of five. My group was told to perform Taegeuk Yuk Jang (form 6) and third degree black belt form "Taebaek". I was very happy. Those are two of my favorite forms.
This is the curriculum that the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Masters use to teach Combat Taekwondo to American Soldiers stationed in Korea. This curriculum was created by 9th Dan Grandmaster Kim Moon Ok. The conductor you are hearing in the video administering commands is 6th Dan Master Lee Soo Ho. The gentlemen on the left side of the screen is 3rd Dan CPT Para, and on the right is yours truly. Filmed in 2018 Camp Casey, S. Korea.
This video hits home for me. At the 1:39 mark, the soldier speaking is SPC Matos. He was the one team member that taught me a lot. He was much older than us, and had great patience with me. We became good friends over the time we were on the team together. Matos passed away in Dec 2007 while on leave. I will never forget him for the rest of my life.
Warrior martial arts, even if military taekwondo is not the same as this one (i.e. designed to knock down the opponent quickly and effectively), it seems that it is also taught "traditionally" in the army

Is thisnthe Tradition"ITF" style? Or the WTF way of training. Either way... i like it.

@warriormartialartscampcasey this is the way I remember training... I missed it. Not for sparring. Not for competition but to destroy your opponent quickly and effectively
