Safe2Open Avoiding Damage and Cost: A Secure Solution for Firearms Owners and the Police
Summary
Terry Hillier has developed a solution to the problem of firearms owners not being able to provide access to their firearms safe in case of incapacitation. The solution involves registering the firearms license number and access details to the safe on a secure platform called Safe2open. The police can then access this information when needed, avoiding the need for expensive locksmiths or damaging the safe. The system is secure and only holds minimal information that would be useless to hackers. The benefits include reduced trauma and damage to firearms, no cost to the police, and ease of use.

Sad that the serious organised crimes of rural trail hunts - and the paid thugs who protect them - aren't mentioned. These groups routinely assault people and destroy property in Suffolk. Fox Hunting (what it is) is an enabler for drugs and street-drug money laundering, as other forces have discovered and are prosecuting. The shady business of attacking hunt monitors (and saboteurs) is obviously paid for by Hunt Masters and others at the center of criminal hunting, and this money much obviously be laundered to hide it from Police investigation and HMRC. Equipment like unregistered (incorrectly registered) vehicles used for Serious & Organised Crimes, as well as weapons - guns, knives, blunt instruments and even explosive charges - are a critical part of protecting illegal hunts, and the embrace between the Hunts and Crime gangs who both curry favor with the rich & influential Hunt Masters, in exchange for physical violence against those - to quote the National Police Hunting Co-Ordinator, "There are people trying to commit a crime [of hunting] and those trying to stop them.". It's clear that Suffolk Police do not see the evidence provided by Hunt Monitor groups as an extension of their own role - to collect and present evidence of criminal activity. the reasons for this can be conjectured but sit within the bound of being at best, lack of education, at worst, gross corruption in Suffolk Police. In either case incompetence to support communities collecting evidence and prosecute Hunting Offences is assured - and a sad reflection on the competency of the PCC and Chief Inspector. Will it take these criminals finally committing murder before the Police are embarrassed enough to act? Where does the accountability lay? Will Labour's strong commitment to stopping all hunting with dogs, without loopholes, require regional oversight to ensure the law is not only enforced, but seen to be enforced?

Ah the whole far right again and the presumption that it’s always the white mans fault the racism is coming from the native “white man” argument that old chestnut 🌰 maybe if she seen how much the white population is actually hated and targeted by the police plus the racism that white ppl receive from other races directed towards them because of their race then the presumption wouldn’t always be that it’s always somehow a white persons fault, by suggesting that the racism is always white and led by whites is in breach of Merseyside police’s own impartial hate speech policy within itself but it will continue to do this because it doesn’t know how to act in any other way 😢
