Cantina Song dance at Broche Ballet

I'm so happy you did this review because I was in doubt to choose the blue or black. I watched many reviews and this is the one helped me make up my mind. I honestly wanted the black one from day one, purely for the fact that it will match 90% of my swimsuits. I was unsure about the comfort but its obviously showing how its more flexible especially the foot part. I also have wide but short feet. I think I wont have an issue with the fitting. Hopefully wont get blisters on the ankles. By the looks of it I'm sold. Looking forward to get one. Glad you uploaded this review video.

may I ask what year your black marina is from? it looks like there are no or smaller bumps on the inside of the straps?
I got it last year, but since I didn't buy it directly from Mahina, I don't have any way of knowing when it was manufactured

I rinse my fins in cool tap water after each swim. I haven't had to do any further cleaning than that. For storage, I have 2 hooks on the wall & hang it by the back straps of the foot pockets.

Just what I was looking for! I've heard talk that these two are different, but I didn't know how so. It seems the black one is perhaps comparable to the Luna in flop if you will, though not quite on par with a mertailor monofin.
I can't comment on the other monofins unfortunately, since I don't have either of those, but I'm glad this helped with the Mahinas! :)

These differences are really useful since I consider purchasing the black one! :) Does the black one lack the "fastness" the original gives underwater? (I am asking because the material as said is softer and floppier)
It may be slightly slower? But not enough to be very noticeable, in my opinion.
This was a great look at the two fins and showing truly how different the two of them are!
